"They installed low voltage outdoor lighting for me- $8500 project. The problem started with the installation - they buried the cables just below the top inch of the mulch. Within a few weeks, many of the cables were exposed. I called to have them come back and bury the cables deeper. I was told that they had a new hire bury the wiring and it was supposed to be below the mulch - 2-3 inches down. They came back and completed the job. About a year later, one of the low voltage lights stopped working. I called them several times with no response. Finally, Mike called me back and came out to repair the issue. It took about 6 weeks between my initial contact to getting the repair done. Last month, another light went out. I started calling the office and got the run around between Brian and Mike. After 2 weeks of being shuffled between the two, Mike wanted to charge me $90 just to come out and assess the situation - yet the lights were still under warranty. While I tried to give him details about the situation, but he became very rude and disrespectful to me. I asked to speak to Brian, and he refused to allow this. Mike has no professionalism and his customer service skills do not exist. My advice is to find another company because you will not be happy with any follow up/service you may need."

"Hired Homer and his company last spring & summer for a renovation of a home I bought in Asheville. They were charming and gave me all kinds of assurances, but in reality they were under-qualified and dishonest. They sent teenagers to do my plumbing, the cheapest guys they could to do my drywall, an electrician who nearly burnt my house down. Homer Jones left me high and dry in the middle of the renovation after I'd paid him $50K. Homer ghosted me and never returned my phone calls or texts. I was left stranded without a place to stay after he claimed my family and I were free to stay in his nearby airbnb. I am a young single woman who moved across the country to create a new life in this home, right after a family death. Homer's dishonesty and lack of communication was a huge betrayal of trust. He had good reviews because he paid for them on Angi's list. This was my mistake. Please don't make the same one. He's not using skilled labor and he cost me a lot of money and time trying to fix his mistakes."

I tried to explain what the situation was and ask why the item wasn't covered under the warranty. He then got very rude and disrespectful, accusing me of calling him names and lying. I told him he was the one lying as I had our conversation on tape. Suddenly, his demeanor changed and he wanted to cooperate with me. I asked to talk to Brian several times and he refused- stating that he was the boss and he made the decisions. He also stated that a service call wound entail traveling 2 hours one way to my house (from Canton to South Asheville??) and that I already had several service calls in the past - so much for extended warranties with this company. His professionalism and customer service skills do not exist. I cannot recommend this company unless you hope to never need follow up/warranty service from them once the job is done!"

My project had setback after setback dealing with Engineering hiccups among others. Several times after All Above having scheduled the Concrete Trucks, Labor, Pump, etc I would have to once again ask to push things back. 4 times this happened and I felt terrible about it. And there was ZERO hint of the Office Scheduler feeling put out. That is RARE. For me it is. Through the process of the initial quote, the price, the followup, the numerous questions that arose from the engineer, contractor, myself, . . . Numerous - Denis not once failed to answer my call or promptly respond. Rare indeed. Ruben the owner is Kind, Communicative, Humble, Accommodating, Family Man. And he has put together one Heck of a Team. And ultimately, the hard work, and the Intention, the Attitude, the Care, and yes the craftsmanship. Concrete can be halfway done like anything else. And like a lot of things, A lot can be overlooked if One doesn't know or isn't aware. Homeowners Especially . . . It's the little things that add up into a **** Good Finished Product to stand back and be Really Really Pleased with a things such as this that can turn out a number of different ways. The driveway work actually started about a week later and was completed in two weeks, a little longer than planned due to several rain delays. Our driveway exceeds our expectations and the price was very reasonable. David suggested adding a slight tint to the border pavers and it made a subtle and very attractive contrast.
