+ -1 moreThe job could not have been executed better. Ben was quite accurate in his initial estimate, given the amount of project uncertainties. He came close to his start date and kept us informed of any changes in the timing. Once started, he stayed on the job, to its completion (about 2 weeks). He procured the extra materials he needed and kept track of their costs. He was very neat and organized and cleaned up each day before he left. He used floor coverings to minimize the dust and debris which are part of remodel jobs. He was professional and able to deal with necessary changes and modifications to the initial plan. He was a pleasure to work with. We will use him again.
Description of Work: Ben provided the planning and labor for a bathroom remodel: tile floor, shower, vanity and built-in cabinets. He did the removal and installing of floor tile, shower, shower door, toilet, vanity and closets. Basically, most everything as part of the bathroom was removed and all new items installed. Walls were left for the most part and painted. Customer supplied the major materials: shower enclosure & door, toilet, vanity, cabinets, and plumbing and light fixtures (with assistance from a Lowe's Interior Project Specialist, subject of another review), and Ben installed them procuring materials as needed. The installation required modification and build-out of the basic bathroom structure. He handled everything: woodwork, tile, plumbing, and electrical with modifications as needed.

+ 0 moreBenjamin was prompt and courteous. However, his estimate for labor on my very small kitchen remodel was significantly higher than other estimates I received. Most have been in the $1000-$1500 range and I was shocked to get an estimate of $4100 for labor that should only take 3-4 days.

Description of Work: We hired Ben to convert our unfinished basement into living space with a bedroom, playroom, and bathroom. Ben got to work full speed when he said that he would. With his ideas combined with ours the project turned out better than we had imagined. I always felt like the costs were fair and the quality of work is top notch. Ben was extremely neat, courteous, flexible, and respectful of our project and home. Him being a one man crew was nice by not having multiple strangers coming over. He never left the job for another job which I know is a concern for many. I would recommend his services to anyone.

He is a very good craftsman and can handle all kinds of jobs around the home from minor repairs to major renovations. He did a very find job on our new bathroom especially. Cost was not the lowest estimate but the quality of the work made up for the difference.

We started with an idea of what we wanted and asked for his ideas throughout the entire project. With his modern flare and knowledge in so many areas, he designed a totally new look for us. I now have beautiful recessed shelving to display my entire Fiesta Ware collection. And beautiful crown molding that my husband has wanted for years.

+ 13 moreHe began in the spring by ripping out old carpets, repairing holes in existing walls and building new walls. The electric throughout the home was old and needed replacing as well as the plumbing. A concrete wall needed to be added to the foundation as well as other structural repairs completed before the engineer would sign off on the inspection. .He was able to create a master bath off the master bedroom that did not exist before by designing a new entrance and incorporating an old half bath and hallway area that was useless space before. The new kitchen and baths are beautiful ,as well as efficient. His last project at the home was to break up an old concrete slab and replace with a new concrete patio and sidewalk, both were done with a decorative surface and designed to be handicap accessible.
Description of Work: In spring of 2010 I purchased a home that needed a total restoration. I knew without a doubt that Ben could tackle this project due to his experience and the quality of work that he has done for many people who attend my church.The transformation of the home is incredible-one would never know it is the same house! He gutted the kitchen and baths & rebuilt them with beautiful tile work & cabinetry, he searched for quality fixtures and completed all new plumbing and electrical of which had to pass city inspections. He completed extensive foundation repairs that had to be engineer approved and the concrete patio and sidewalk that he poured is beautiful. He is resposible, reasonable and a perfectionist in his work. It is truly difficult these days to find someone trust-worthy enough to come into your home and to do a job that you are going to be pleased with -Ben was this person for me and I would highly recommend him.

+ -1 moreHe did such a good job that the home care nurses who come in asked if they could refer him to others. He is a good Christian man. Everyday he would clean up his work area and even when he went out to lunch and then lay everything back down. He was very patient and respectful to a 92 year old woman. Took the time to include in all conversations about the job even though it would take time.
