I would not recommend Lisa at all. The only reason I didn't give her straight "Fs" on everything is that she returned the fabric swatches I had given her. Lisa came to my house for about 90 minutes and I hired her for several small projects. Her hourly design fee is $125, which is high relative to a number of other designers in the Banner Elk/Blowing Rock area. However, unlike most designers, she does not credit her hourly fee against future purchases. Given my concerns about her high fees/lack of crediting fees against purchases (which I expressed to her), I decided to start Lisa off with a few small projects to test her capabilities before I made a larger commitment. She told me these projects would entail 4-5 hours of design time. She also said that she might meet with me the following week if she had things to show me by then. About two weeks went by, and no word from Lisa. I left her several voice messages and emails. Finally, about a week after my last email, and about three weeks after our meeting, Lisa sends me an email in which she resigns the job. Very unprofessional. She not only wasted 90 minutes of my time when we met, she cost me several weeks of progress toward furnishing my home.
Description of Work: Lisa came to my house and spent about 90 minutes speaking with me about my interior design needs. However, she never followed through after I waited several weeks and reached out to her by phone and email a number of times.
