Sexton Deck Builders were GREAT!!! We read reviews and looked at pictures of work done by a lot of builders and ultimately chose this company to demolish our old deck and build a new larger one. We are so glad we went with Sexton Deck Builders! Jeremy & Tonya were great to work with and the two men they sent to do our work were very professional and did an excellent job. I donâ  t usually leave reviews but we were so impressed by the job they did that I had to give them credit. If you are like we were, not knowing who to hire and just hoping you choose the right people for the job, I can tell you if we EVER need this kind of work done in the future we will not even consider any other company. Sexton Deck Builders are absolutely the only ones we will use. Thank you Jeremy & Tonya & the guys that did the work, WELL DONE!!!

After meeting with several companies to help design and construct a new deck, we chose Jeremy and Tanya because they eagerly worked with both of us (something the other contractors were unwilling to do), and we're really glad we did. The deck turned out great! (Can’t wait to see the aerial shots from the drone.) The Sextons take real care in their work, and it shows, such as with the beautiful stained wood breakfast bar. The entire team was easy to work with, whether it was their professional demeanor, willingness to constantly rotate cars to get in and out of the mountainside driveway, or just keeping an incredibly clean work site. They stuck to their original budget number, and their knowledgeable construction foreman helped with design changes that simplified things and made the overall deck even better. The Sextons met our construction timeline, even with extenuating circumstances, and when there was an issue with the last bit of electrical work, Jeremy and Tanya were both there to make sure things were done right. Overall great job, and we highly recommend them.

Jeremy, Tanya and crew are amazing. We hired them to replace a large, failing deck on a home built on a steep slope. There were safety risks starting from the demolition through the installation of new footers and later with the placement of support posts and beams weighing hundreds of pounds each. They handled the risks and challenges with no issues. Craftsmanship was 1st rate and the end result was a beautiful 1400 sq/ft double deck that will last for decades. They adapted to changes in the plan with ease and made recommendations helping us arrive at an great result. In addition to the deck work, Jeremy did excellent work cutting new openings into exterior walls and installing windows and doors allowing additional access to deck. We interviewed three firms specializing in deck construction before deciding on Sexton. Jeremy was knowledgeable, had excellent references and his price was fair. Best of all, we just felt more comfortable with he and his wife, Tanya. Their advertising says they are a 'family business" and true to their word, they are. Our project required removing an existing deck and redesigning the new space to conform to some changes we had made in the rear of our home. Before stating, Jeremy made several suggestions to our "plan" that made it work and look much better. Then, in the middle of the project, we ran into a problem involving air-conditioning and electrical lines. Given past experiences with other contractors, I honestly expected that we would end up paying heavily for the these changes. but Jeremy and Tanya took the time to sit with us and go over all our options and helped us choose the one that would give us the best outcome for the least expense. They were more than fair in a situation where we were at a disadvantage. Now we have a beautiful and functional deck that we enjoy every day. Sexton started on time, did an excellent job, cleaned up everything before they left and finished right on time.! Thank you so much Jeremy and Tanya! After interviewing several landscapers who also build decks, I decided I wanted to work with a company whose focus solely is on decks. Very happy I found Sexton. They are highly skilled and the workmanship is excellent. Jeremy listened carefully during the site visit, made good suggestions, and provided an estimate promptly. There was good communication throughout the project. Jeremy was willing to tweak things as the project progressed and accommodated a few changes to the design with good humor. They worked cheerfully through cold temperatures and spitting skies, cleaned up after work each day, and kept the area clear of debris. I have to mention that they also have great taste in music. Highest recommendation.
