Safelite Auto Glass

I had an appointment for today Jan 19th 2021. My husband drove an hour and half to the safelite in Asheville NC. They removed the windshield then told him they couldn't replace it because of a small circle of rust per their "policy". They said we would have to get the rust removed first. They put the old windshield back on without securing it. Just sat it in there. We called around to some auto body shops and were told they could do it for 250 but not till February. So my husband had to drive an hour and half back with an unsecured windshield which put him in danger! He drove it to an auto glass place near us and he was told it was ridiculous safelite wouldnt replace it because nothing was wrong with our car to keep it from being replaced. He is replacing it tomorrow for us thankfully. If my older kids hadnt had school cancelled my baby and I would have been in that car. We would have been out of pocket 250 dollars for rust removal we didnt need if they auto body place hadnt been booked till Feb. Hopefully this review will keep someone else deom being put in danger and save them from spending unnecessary money.
