I'm in Whittier and this comes up as the number one search for driveways. But they don't even come near whittier. Thay said they're out of asheville and only drive thirty minutes away. I'm also a webdeveloper so I know they had to pay google to advertisers this far out. That's why i'm putting the bad review. Don't advertise where you don't work.

+ 0 moreIt went flawlessly. After calling several contractors (including one I'd used to pour the garage pad) and getting no call-backs, I called Quality Contractors. Mike (the owner) picked up and scheduled me for an estimate. That happened exactly as scheduled. I got a complete and thorough breakdown of the service they would provide and put down a 1/3 of the estimate to get on their schedule. As promised, and on time, Mike came out to review and layout exactly what they would be doing the next day. As we discussed the project in detail, I made a few changes to the initial plan that expanded the project slightly. The crew came out about 8 AM the following morning and completed the project by 2 PM. The process was flawless and the results were impressive. As I was unable to get another company's quote on the project I'm unqualified to judge the value, but the price seems to be right in line with my garage pad, which was much smaller, less involved and took about a week. My wife and I are 100% completely satisfied with the thoroughness and professionalism Mike and his team displayed and most importantly, the outstanding results.
Description of Work: Extended apron for a two-and-a-half car garage with drainage (approx. 27'x48').

+ 2 moreBased upon our considerable experience with Mike, we highly recommend him and Quality Contractors to anyone who wants an excellent job done at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: When we bought our house in Hendersonville N.C. we knew that our driveway was steep, but we didn’t realize that very few people would drive up it because it was so steep. After a year, we decided we needed to make our house more accessible by building a second driveway which would extend from the top of our current driveway through our adjacent, wooded, and sloped ¼ acre lot to the road – about 140 feet. We chose Mike Stollenmaier and Quality Contractors because Mike spent the time to make sure I knew what was involved in building this driveway; demonstrated that he had the experience, expertise, and integrity to do the job well, and quoted me a reasonable price. As part of the job, he did: a fair amount of excavation including the removal of a number of trees and a considerable amount of soil; built a retaining wall of large boulders at the top of the driveway; pumped the concrete up from the street; negotiated a 90 degree curve; included a 2-car parking area; put in a line of LED landscaping lights along the new driveway and mulched the sides of the driveway. We have since asked him to landscape both sides of the driveway (Mike is a Licensed Landscape Contractor in NC) and landscape in back of our house, including creating a patio. Based upon our considerable experience with Mike, we highly recommend him and Quality Contractors to anyone who wants an excellent job done at a reasonable price.

+ -1 moreMIKE AND HIS CREW WERE PUNCTUAL TO THE 8AM START TIME. ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED AS AGREED TO. WHEN IT WAS FOUND THE GRAVEL WAS UNAVAILABLE, MIKE KEPT TO HIS ORIGINAL ESTIMATE ABSORBING THE EXTRA COST OF THE JOB BEING ALL CONCRETE. MIKE ALSO HONORED THE $500 ANGIES LIST COUPON. THE CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL AND WHEN THEY LEFT, THEY REMOVED ALL TRASH AND EXCESS MATERIALS. (THIS WAS A BIG DEAL SINCE I HAVE HAD TO CLEAN UP AFTER OTHER CONTRACTORS). WE WOULD USE QUALITY CONTRACTORS AGAIN FOR ANY FUTURE NEEDS. A FOOTNOTE TO THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH THE CONCRETE PROCESS; 1. YOU WILL NEED A PLACE FOR THE CONCRETE TRUCK AND PUMP TRUCK TO PREFORM A WASHDOWN AT THE END OF THE PROCESS. WE HAD AN SUITABLE SPACE TO ABSORB THE EXCESS CONCRETE. 2. YOU WILL ALSO WANT TO BE AWARE OF THE NEED TO WATER DOWN THE CONCRETE AS IT CURES.
Description of Work: HERB RUPERT, OF QUALITY CONTRACTORS GAVE AN ESTIMATE TO ESCAVATE, FORM AND POUR OUR 17' X 20' PATIO. ALSO, TO RELOCATE AND BURY THE GUTTER DRAIN LINES. WE AGREED ON A PRICE FOR TURNKEY OPERATION. I GOT A CALL FROM THE OWNER, MIKE STOLLENMAIER WHO SAID HE COULD START AT 8AM THE FOLLOWING DAY DUE TO AN UNFORSEEN SCHEDULE OPENING. WE AGREED.

+ 1 moreTo Whom It May Concern:, I am writing this review for Quality Contractors and the work that they have just performed in removal and installing of my new driveway. Michaels associate Herb promptly came out within 2 days of my initial contact. Evaluation, drawings and square footage quotation were put in writing on company letterhead and were of an expert level. Well dressed, well spoken and very professional with accurate pricing is specifically what I require when hiring contractors to my home. This company is all of that, plus some. Following up with a one-day removal, one-day forming and a one-day finishing, is what I requested and is exactly what was provided. Even though we had some bumps in the road with getting trucks to the site, Michael made sure I/the customer was comforted and confident it was not going to be a problem even with me being out of town. If you are looking for true professional services at a very good pricing point, this is the company you want to work with. Call them first, sit back and watch how it is supposed to be performed. + -1 moreMike Stollenmaier, the president of the company, spent over an hour after our initial meeting to measure our yard and develop alternative plans that fit our needs and our budget. Mike was very flexible after my wife and I changed our plans regarding the placement of the lights and the number and type of fixtures we wanted. Mike and his crew showed up on time and did a great job with the final installation. Our yard looks great!
Description of Work: Quality Landscaping worked with my wife and I to develop an outdoor lighting plan for our front yard and worked with us to develop pricing that was fair.
