Quality Air

I purchased a Groupon for duct cleaning by "Quality Air" in April, 2013. When I called to schedule (an 800 number), the person could not name the local provider of service or give any other info except to schedule an appointment - saying I could get that info when someone called to confirm. I was suspicious about that, so looked up and called the only "Quality Air" in Asheville and they were very helpful, explaining that they were not affiliated with this offer in any way and were in fact trying to communicate with Groupon about the misrepresentation. (Groupon did give me a refund but did not respond about the possibility the business was a scam.) I am sharing this because Quality Air of Asheville seemed to be reputable, and perhaps might be affected by the groupon situation.

The removal of old unit took very little time and they also removed the old unit. Took about three hours to complete install of new unit. All techs involved have worked for several years in this profession and they know their stuff. They worked well together and did not stand around chit chatting. After install they gave us all the information we needed to use the new unit. Very simple to navigate through the heat and AC controls.

This company is the most professional company I have interacted with since we moved here from CA 6 yrs ago

Both electrical and heating cooling work went well. The employees wore booties when they were inside the house to prevent tracking anything inside and were very courteous. The system was over-pressurized and they had to come and determine why the air conditioning wasn't working in high heat when it was needed most, but even the service call to fix it went smoothly.

Quality Air representative was on-time, thorough and professional. He tested the system and changed the air filters. He also address a noise issue caused by a loose part in the attic. It was a short visit, but I feel more comfortable my system won't break down in the middle of winter. And if it happens to do so, Quality Air will be able to fix it.

Quality and knowledgeable installers who spent time following installation explaining how the heating system works and instructions on how to set thermostat for the most economical performance. We also chose to join the every 6 months upkeep maintenance program for a reasonable monthly fee. Very professional and conscientious service workers who perform these 6-month inspection and maintenance visits. We have been completely satisfied with Quality Air to date.

Do not call this company if you are not a paid member of their priority club. I called Saturday morning and was told that they could not help me as they are only servicing members of their priority club. The person I spoke to did not even indicate if there would be a day in the future that they could get to me. He really seemed to have no interest in my business.

My A/C was not running correctly . I called and was answered immediately. It was easy to get an appointment which suited my needs. The neatly dressed young man technician arrived as planned. He was articulate and obviously very skilled in his job. Very pleasant experience all around. I just had the first seasonal service with Quality Air, which I would encourage you to do. Another neatly dressed, well spoken, skillful technician showed up and thoroughly serviced my HVAC. This company is exceptional!

Quality Air employees were professional, very prompt and seem very knowledgable. They came when they said they would and did their job. The only thing I would have liked to seen done differently was they really want you to join their "Quality Club" and I would have done that, but their main office would not let you join until everything was in "factory" condition, so you would not get the discount on the needed repairs. Their service was very good.

We received a coupon for a first time customer tuneup for $49. We had been having some minor issues with our heating, so decided to have someone take a look. Overall, I was very pleased with the service. The technician came into our house, checked the thermostat first and asked if we had been experiencing any issues... which I had then explained that we have been having minor problems with the thermostat display. He then proceeded to work on the unit outside and he also allowed me to observe as he went through the tuneup process (I like to be hands on), and he identified to me the areas to watch out for. Immediately, he identified an issue where one gas burners was intermittently turning off and on. He cleaned the burners, and adjusted the gas flow which corrected the issue. He also made recommendations as to the filter types we should be using, and gave us one to try which I greatly appreciated. He did identify one issue with a capacitor, and gave us a quote for replacing it. I learned a lot from the process, and was very pleased with the attention to detail performed. I will be using Quality Air for my future HVAC needs.

They arrived within the time frame that we were given. The three workers were very polite and kept everything clean. After they left, we realized that we had a noise that we had not had with the previous heat pump. It sounded like a jake break on a truck. My husband determined that it was coming from the outside unit when it shut off. We also realized that the return had not been enlarged as we were told that it needed to be. We called and were told that Rocky would call us back to schedule something. We were also told that the noise was normal. We did not hear from Rocky so we called back and the lady in the office set up two of the workers coming out. They were very anxious to please and did some enlargement on the return which turned out to be what Rocky said he had meant, but was not what we had understood to be done. They listened briefly, but did not hear the noise. They called and left a message for Rocky and said he would call us. After waiting a week, we called the office and they sent out two workers who determined that the situation needed more attention. The office then sent out Jeff, a technician, who tried various things until he heard the noise and diagnosed the part it was coming from. He ordered a replacement to be done. The company sent out workers who replaced the part, but sadly we still had the noise. Meanwhile we did not get return calls from Rocky. (He came once and said the return was now ok and without staying to hear the noise, said the noise was normal.) The office sent Jeff out again and he came the day before Thanksgiving. He was able to determine that the part was being put on backwards and that caused the noise. At first they were going to schedule someone else to come and put on a new one in the correct direction, but then they called him back and said he could put it on. So Jeff went somewhere and got a new part and put it on with the arrows in the right direction and hurray - no more jake break! So this is a difficult review because the company stayed with us and kept sending people out and eventually fixed it so that says a lot for the company. However, we - who had like Rocky a lot to start with - were very unhappy not to have our calls returned (he did call after the office called him when my husband called the office and said we would not have bought it if we had been told about the noise) and to have our concerns brushed off. We were extremely happy with Jeff who showed persistence and knowledge and fixed the problem. The workers were also great. So I hated to knock down the company because of one individual and I had a hard time giving the ratings because it was really not a good experience, but because the company kept sending out people we finally got one who fixed the problem.

Came within said time. Entered house first putting on protective shoe covers. Did job very professionally.

After a bad experience and misdiagnosis of the system by the original system installation company, I called Quality Air for a second opinion. Ouality Air sent out a very professional technician who correctly diagnosed the problem and offered me options on the system repair. They then contacted the unit manufacturer and secured a warranty replacement unit even though it was out of warranty. I would strongly recommend the Ouality Club option when choosing Quality Air.

They installed the furnace and the air conditioner. They specialize in heating and cooling. The person who had installed the system had it installed upside down, but now they installed it correctly.

The Quality Air team was punctual, friendly, hard-working and professional. They didn't make a mess and were very considerate. We chose Quality Air even though the quote was not the lowest because they struck us as having a higher level of professionalism than the other companies we talked to. It was well worth it. We are very happy with the new system and would recommend them to anyone who wants a great job done at a fair price.

They come out ever 6 months to service my heating and a/c unit. They are very professional, do a good job, and I would recommend them.

They are extremely knowledgeable in different kinds of air conditioning and furnaces. I’m very pleased with them and their price is competitive. They professionals since I particularly like that they come in put on their boots and have on their gloves including their mask and nothing really comes in with them which is really good.

They were excellent. It is a very complex job that they did. I have been very pleased with the work they have done. It was a heating unit check of all the equipment. They did not have to replace any parts, it was just a general check up. I felt that the price was quite reasonable. Their quality is excellent. They came exactly when they said they would. They were very punctual. I will continue to use them.

The problem comes in when I took a new job and moved out of state. I contacted them to let them know I would have renters in the house, no problem I was told you just have to coordinate the maint because we do not work with the management companies. OK, no problem, I called to try to schedule the semi-annual maint., I am not told I actually have to be at the residence during the maint. I'm 10 hrs away. I asked for a refund of my moneis, after all I approached them explaining I was no longer going to be residing in the house but I still wanted them to do the maint and wanted to know how that would work. I was told no, 8 months of $27+ a month payments, for maint I will not be able to use. Funny thing they wont work with the management company but if I had a family member or a trusted friend they would go out with them present. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! My issue is not with the service guys that came to the house its with the administrative staff failing to communicate, and then not doing the right thing in the end.

I have a standing agreement with them. They have been fantastic. The professionalism of the staff really stood out to me. They were very courteous. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I looked them up on Angie's List. I actually have a contract with them. I decided to do that once I read reviews on Angie's List website. When they came here to look at it one heater was working and the other one was not making the quickie noise. The guy stayed here for about an hour and a half trying to figure out what was going on with them. He couldn't pinpoint the problem, but what he did do was, he apparently noted in my account that they would come immediately to the house to have that looked at the next time I hear the noise. Following this, the next day I had a phone call from the main office to see if everything went well and okay.

The technician was professional and provided details on the condition of both of the systems. He also provided a copy of the checklist which I kept for my personal records. I have been a customer for over two years and have never been disappointed with the service.

I have a maintenance agreement with them. They come out twice in a year. They come out in the spring and then in the fall. I have not had them come out in the fall yet. They check on the operation of the system. They come out to check and make sure that it is operating properly. They would then put in a new filter. In the fall they usually come out when it is cold enough that you are going to have the heat on. In the spring they usually come around May because they want to be able to put the air conditioner on and see if it is running properly. I moved in last year and they have never done any electrical work for me. They don't clean the air ducts. They have been very good to work with.

They are a furnace company. They do a once a year cleaning and inspection. They have a club level membership, and I pay them monthly. They do one free diagnosis, which includes changing filters and so forth. They are not cheap, but they are good. My furnace was improperly installed by someone who wasn't certified. This company practically had to take it out and redo it. That cost me a lot of money, but it was my mistake to start with. They figured out how to do it, and my furnace works now whereas it didn't work before. I've been very satisfied with them.
