Mr.Brian's Cleaning Service

Description of Work: I was looking to replace a housekeeper that I was not completely satisfied with. I scanned Angie's List and found Mr Brian (Brian McGrady) and was not struck so much by the rating as by the comments made in the references on the listing.

Description of Work: Over a number of years, Brian has helped me in numerous ways. For much of the last 8 years, Brian did nearly all the house work at my home in Asheville, both periodic heavy cleaning (as in spring cleaning) and lighter cleaning on a regular basis. He did everything you could think of in the way of cleaning, from vacuuming, cleaning floors and woodwork, counter tops and bathrooms, to polishing silver. He was also invaluable in getting my house in shape to sell. Since I was already living elsewhere much of the time, he coordinated with the contractors I used to get the house ready to show, making sure he was there to let in the floor re-finishing company, the painter, the plumber, and so on. Over the 8 and a half years I lived in Asheville (through the sale of my house in December 2014), he also helped me stay organized, working with me on organizing my papers and pruning the over abundance of "stuff" I had accumulated. His organizational skills are first rate. In so many ways, he made my life easier, especially in the years when I was commuting between my house in Asheville and my husband's home in Arizona. He kept an eye on my house, made sure my mail got forwarded, and did whatever was needed. He kept me informed and gave me peace of mind. But above all else, he did a great job of keeping my house wonderfully clean and tidy! I hired Brian frequently for additional tasks, but his cleaning service in particular was there for me for more than 8 years. If I had not sold my house in Asheville, he would the person I would still turn to keep my house clean and uncluttered. I didn't fill in a cost of service above, because his hourly rate varied depending on what I was asking him to do. However, I will say his charges were always reasonable and reflected the level of effort he put in. He was conservative in estimating how much time he put into the work, and the hourly rates were definitely lower than those I paid for similar services in Atlanta in the past.

Description of Work: Emptied trash, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned bathrooms etc in my dental office.
