There are 13 complaints on Google and Angie's list about this company, many very similar to mine. I would advise against doing any business with them.
Description of Work: I took my tiller for repair because I purchased it from Moore's several years ago and was told it would be finished by mid-June. When I didn't hear from them by June, I called and was told it would not be ready until August because it needed a new carburetor and it was on back order. I called again after a few weeks to ask why it took so long to get a carburetor because I could order one online and it would arrive in a few days. The lady said the ordered from a specific company and that company only manufactured the carburetors when they had enough to switch from one set of equipment to another. This didn't make sense to me, but I gave her the benefit of a doubt. It is now August, and when I called he said he could not find the information on my tiller and for me to call back. When I called back, I was told the carburetor was still not in and was told there would be a charge if I picked it up even though they have done nothing.

I dropped off my mower January 28th 2013 for regular servicing and repair to the self-propelled system. I have called to check on the status repeatedly since that time; 75 days have now past. I received a call 4/8/13 the mower would be ready for pick up 4/10 and went to pick it up on 4/12/13; counter staff told me the equipment hasn't been repaired or serviced. I request my equipment be returned to me in whatever state it was in and I would take it somewhere else. The manager refused to release my mower until I paid $35 for estimating the type of repairs necessary. I explained that the equipment has been in their possession for 2 1/2 months and the work had not been done and that I didn't agree I should be responsible to pay the estimation cost due to their lack of communication poor service. I was told it wasn't their problem, that Honda requires a large order for them to send parts. I left without my mower to decide how I should handle this conflict; you be the judge.
Description of Work: I requested that my Honda self propelled mower be serviced for the winter and that it needed a repair to the self propel system. It wasn't pulling the mower.

Took lawn mower in for service on 7/3/2012. Lawn mower was not ready for pickup until 8/24/2012 despite having been told it would only take 2 weeks for repairs. Had called several times for updates and was given a different story each time.

They are AWFUL! CAVEAT to anyone considering them to repair your mower. DON'T DO IT! They lie to you, and do NOT do what they were supposed to do! NOW, almost a month after we started trying to have them pick up the mower for service (Which had taken a few days itself)...we're going to have to start ALL OVER with someone else! This time, I'm going to check Angie's List BEFORE it's taken in for service!
Description of Work: I SO wish we had looked on Angies List before the Lawn Mower was taken in for service! We bought a Cub Cadet from Home Depot a little over a year ago. We had purchased an extended warranty. We really loved the Cub Cadet and it seemed to be working well...until just recently. We NOW believe it was an adjustment that was needed in order to help it get up hills (it REALLY strained). We contacted Home Depot and were directed to take our lawnmower to these... individuals (who clearly should NOT be in a business where they do work for the public!). After they had had the mower for over a week, we contacted them and were informed that they were three (3) weeks backlogged. Although we were DESPERATE to receive the mower back as soon as possible, we waited over the three weeks before my husband went over there to find out exactly when we would be receiving the repaired mower back. We learned that in over the three (3) week period, they had done NOTHING! They had been paid $50 in order for them to pick the mower up, and to drop the mower back to us, My husband carefully went over the mower and found that, as expected, nothing had been done to it (aside from it sitting in the elements for the last three (3) weeks).

I brought in 2 mowers and a weed-eater for tuneups, which worked out just fine. However, I brought them an Echo hedge trimmer that would not start. After 1 week, I called and was told that they were waiting for a part - no estimation of when it would be done. After another week, I was told that they had ordered a carburetor and it was being shipped from Japan, so I would have to wait another 2 weeks. When I asked for the part number of the carburetor, they refused to give it to me, saying, "We have to pay for a program to give us those." I picked up the trimmer, paid a $20 minimum fee, and took it to another shop. It turns out that the carb was fine. It had a plugged fuel filter.
Description of Work: Had them tune up 2 mowers and a weed-eater. Good result. Took in a hedge-trimmer that would not start. Bad experience.

Badly.
Description of Work: I ordered a part from them and was told it would be in on Friday. The part did not arrive until Tuesday afternoon. I needed the part on Friday. So I found it somewhere else. They would not refund my money and were very surly and nasty at every opportunity that I spoke with them. They informed me that special orders were not refundable, there was plainly a sign in the office. My order was by phone. This is my second experience with them in the last 4 years and both experiences ended with me angry for the way I was talked to. They do not care if the customer is happy. Very rude and disrespectful.
