Description of Work: Amy stripped wallpaper; prepped & painted walls, ceilings, trim, an attic door, covered ceiling water stains, repaired wallpaper, restored a stained wood bathroom cabinet, covered previous painters paint on wooden ceiling beams, walls, doors upping the value of our home. Amy was very professional sharing her wealth of knowledge willingly & educating me. I knew going into every job she did what was going to be done & why, what the expected outcome could be & what might not work & how much it was going to cost. There were no surprises. I really appreciated her honestly in not trying to get me to do more than what was needed & giving me her opinion when I asked for it. The lighting in my house is not the best & Amy willing corrected whatever was needed when the changing light revealed needed touch ups. Amy was also very flexible with days I could have her work. It soon became apparent that I could trust Amy and asked her if she would be willing to work without my being there. This worked out so well for me. I will be having Amy back to do additional work & I can't wait to see her again. I enjoyed not only Amy's work but her presence as well. I highly recommend Amy as a painter & as a restorer & as a friend

 + -1 moreAmy removed the wallpaper efficiently and effectively. I used an Angie's List deal for 4 hours & then asked her to finish the job, which she did that day. She also examined the wallpaper in a bathroom, but said that because the wallpaper was not put on properly, it would be impossible to get it off without damaging the drywall . She gave us an estimate for prepping it and also wrote out recommendations for how to prep and paint over it on our own.

 + -1 moreShe arrived about 10 minutes later than anticipated, but she went right to work. She was meticulous in her removal of paper and helpful with recommendations regarding my obvious follow-on work. She also recommended a quality paint product--combines primer and latex coat.
Description of Work: Prior to setting this up, I contacted the service provider to determine: Whether they removed Grass wallpaper and Whether they were capable to removing paper at a two-story height The response to both was affirmative, but when the owner arrived, she had only a small ladder. When I explained that my hope was that highest walls, she claimed she would have to return with another worker and ladder. She subsequently agreed to use my 20' extension ladder and removed some of the highest paper--in addition to part of a smaller, 8' wall. She was very neat--cleaned up the area very nicely--she did work the entire 8 hours. I have since continued the process and have a full appreciation of the difficulty of grasspaper removal--I had it before. Bottom line--I was disappointed that she did not come prepared to work the surfaces that I had specifically requested.

After the amount of work that took, my husband and I agreed on having a professional remove the wallpaper in our 1/2 bath. Amy was on time and completed the job very quickly and thoroughly. Description of Work: Initially, I purchased a $99 deal for 4 hours of wallpaper removal. The professional did a great job but there was still a lot more to do after 4 hours. I asked for an estimate to complete the job and I felt it was very reasonable. During the removal, the professional said that she also did painting. I asked for an estimate which I also thought was reasonable so I also hired her to paint my kitchen, hall and breakfast area. She did a great job, very professional and hard working. She came back and touched up spots, as well as did initial spackling of areas that needed it. Overall, I am very happy with the services provided. The professional listened to my requests and tried to accommodate them. She was very friendly and professional throughout service provision.

 + -1 moreAmy is the consummate professional. She arrived precisely on time and unloaded her vehicle with all the tools and equipment necessary to complete the job. She politely refused any assistance with the unloading, even though we were experiencing torrential rainfall at the time. The powder room itself is very small but with a nine foot ceiling. It required a great deal of precision and detail cutting which Amy performed with great skill and dexterity. I was quite impressed with the way she worked on difficult seams and out of plumb corners, compensating for the difficult paper pattern that she had to work with. Bottom line, I would recommend Ms. Billings for any size wallpapering task. She works quickly and diligently until the job is done, at which time she removes all evidence that a project was recently completed. We have used other wall paper people in the past but in our considered opinion, Amy Billings' work is infinitely more impressive than any of our previous experiences. J. R. Todd, Asheville

 + -1 moreWe will definitely call Wallpaper Professisonals again. Were quite delighted with the service performed and the professionalism. Amy showed up exactly on time, with professional equipment and supplies, was clearly experienced in wallpaper hanging and repair, made several tests, managed our expectations by explaining what she could and couldn't do to address the problems. She made clear what she could improve and what problems were not fixable as a result of the original installation. We think her work improved the problems 99% which is far more than we had hoped for. We were so impressed with the service that we had her give estimates for other work (interior painting) which they also do.
Description of Work: Amy came out to assess some problem wallpaper we have in a powder room to determine if the paper (which we really like) could be saved. It had some bubbles and some seams opening. She conducted tests, gave us an estimate, and completed the job in about three hours.

Her work was excellent and shows her vast experience.She was able to provide the services just as agreed to with much skill and expertise. Amy did everything she said she would.The work was definitely worth the money paid. I will not hesitate to recommend her to others.
Description of Work: Amy came on time to give me a quote to remove wallpaper and prep the walls for painting.She was able to come a few days earlier than originally planned, which was wonderful.She removed the stubborn wallpaper and glue beneath it. Then she repaired the places that we had gouged the walls trying to remove the wallpaper ourselves, and any other uneven areas. She returned to sand and smooth the walls. I'm sure there were a few other steps in between too. She also had a few other recommendations on some refinishing projects we are thinking of having done and performed a few tests to see the best way to do them.
