He did okay. There was one problem I had with him. I thought he was supposed to do like the gabling things and stuff, and he said that it was not in his estimate. He said that he did not do that, but the people that were out here that did the job for me said that they could give me an estimate for it. It was kind of confusing. I was satisfied with the job though. I would tell people that they need to make sure and check that they have everything down on their little proposal paper that they get to match up with what they wanted.

I received an estimate and then ended up giving them the job. They were on time and the roofers worked fast and hard. They only stopped for lunch. They finished ahead of time and did a great job of cleanup. They were extremely accomodating.

The shingles of the roof in a house I had only recently bought were literally falling off, thanks to a woefully improper previous installation and three subsequent catastrophic wind storms. John McClung and his team not only stopped by on the spur of the moment for an emergency repair and provided a comprehensive and accurate estimate, but also --and significantly-- made a point of fitting the job into their schedule on an emergency basis, within ten days of their initial visit. This was critical: several other roofers, one insurance adjuster, and a house inspector, as well as McClung, all concured that the next wind storm or heavy rain would cause considerable damage. The team was prompt, friendly, efficient, clean, and quick, completing the work in a day and a half. The shingles have a thirty-year warranty, the workship a lifetime warranty. I am exceedingly appreciative and strongly recommend them.

They were very professional and my roof looks great. I had serious issues with my insurance company and John McClung Roofing worked with me every step of the way to give the insurance company the information they needed. They whole crew was very polite and they worked quickly but very efficiently to get the job done in spite of the July heat. They cleaned everything up very well. I would highly recommend them.

Overall the entire job went well. We were surprised to find them working on our house 6 days early. They were finishing up the job as we were coming home from vacation, when they were supposed to start 4 days later. Due to the snow they were unable to cleanup properly when they were finished. They said they would return to finish cleanup. A few days later when the snow melted I had to call and remind them of cleanup late one evening since I thought they would be there earlier in the day. Owner did not seem aware of this, but promptly sent a crew out to finish. I walked around with the crew as they were finishing cleaning up and they did a great job. I know that they tried to cleanup before leaving, and that the snow really did hamper this and am happy that they said the would return and did. Overall I am thoroughly pleased with the job. It looks very professional and they cleaned up well. Communication with owner and crews was excellent. Not having a phone call saying they were starting earlier was a little off putting, but after being there part of one day with them working, I think we were glad to have missed most of the noise. The only complaint so far is that we did find a substantial number of nails in the area where we park and on our deck. The entire job was complete in two days. John is very nice and I believe he would respond immediately and appropriately to any issues that may arise. Update: 09/19/2012 We emailed John on 09/18/2012 and he responded with an estimated service date of 09/20/2012. He called on 09/18/2012 and was in the area and asked if he could come by. He arrived and checked both the attic and the roof and isolated the problem. Water was back flowing at the flashing which sometimes happens with architectural shingles. He caulked not only the flashing around the problem vent but also the other vents and the chimmney! We can't say enough good things about our experience with John and his company. Overall, the 16,000 project went well but when it rained the first time - the roof leaked in several places. They came back twice for quick repairs but it continued to leak. I have repeatedly called them and a couple of times they said they would come back but never did. Now, they never even return my calls. The roof has leaked ever since they replaced the roof. I would not recommend this roofer to anyone I know. Not so bad.

I can understand the broken phone and medical situation. What I don't understand is failure to follow up as promised.

Very well. My satisfaction was important, the workmen were very nice, congenial, and so is John. They worked on my house for 10 days from morning until dark. The finished product makes my house look new again.
