I called Clark at around 11:00 am and he said he was on another job but should be able to get to me by 2:00 or 2:30. He showed up at my door promptly at 2:00. I described the problems to Clark and he went to work immediately. In less than an hour he had diagnosed and repaired the problems with both doors. He is knowledgeable and efficient and I recommend him highly.

Clark, the owner, was terrific. He came the same day I called. He made the initial repair immediately, which was my main concern.

Could not have had a better experience. Got a quote over the phone with Clark. After receiving other quotes I picked Highland. Clark made arrangements to get the door and opener the same day. After some phone tag we agreed on an install date. On the date agreed, Spence, his installer arrived and went right to work and never stopped until the job was done.

Work was done in a timely manner and price was reasonable.

We could not have asked for a better experience. I discovered that the cable supporting one of our garage doors was completely frayed and about to give way. Highland Door responded quickly, replaced the cable and checked both of the doors. Adjustments were made to both doors so that they would open and close more smoothly. We will definitely call on Highland Door in the future.

Their work was great. As soon as the doors came in, they were very prompt with the installation process. Our garage is old and they had to properly frame out the garage to install the new doors. It turned out way nicer than I had imagined. I have already recommended this company to friends.

Two previous contractors had told me they would be at my house on a given day and at a given time and did not call or come. I called Highland Door this morning and was told he would be at my house that day and at a given time. He was stuck in traffic and called to let me know he would be late. Even thought he had called, he still was apologetic about not being here when he said. Mr. Cross, the owner, was professional, knowledgeable and drove over 30 miles to fix the door. It is a shame Mr. Cross's work ethic and professionalism is not the given instead of the exception.

Nothing. I called in and they could not return my phone call. I am sick and tired of this, seems to happen with every top few Angie's list providers now. These are small operations that become popular, not real business's. If a phone call or email is not important and can be ignored, than this is not a top provider. I don't have time to pester you to do your job. This is the THIRD company I called on the list that could not return my phone call.

We just moved into a house with a garage and automatic door opener. We called Highland and were helped over the phone with how to get it working, as well as what model of garage door openers we will need. All done over the phone; very helpful and professional.

After work the garage door would not open and I could not get it closed manually all the way. For peace of mind I really just wanted to be able to get the door closed and secure my stuff until I could get help. I logged on Angie's List and found a note that the company offered 24/7 coverage so I thought I would at least be able to talk to someone to see what to do overnight. Clark called soon after I sent an email that I needed help. He asked for directions and was at my house soon after. He got on it right away and was able to fix the door. He took the time to fix the main problems but then took more time to do all he could to fix what went wrong with the track. We discussed what caused the problem and how to avoid/minimize it in the future to keep it moving along. I feel really good that I was able to get quick expert service when I needed it.

I called Highland on July 23rd explained a couple of weeks ago my garage door opened as usual but after reaching the highest point dropped all the way to the ground. Since that incident the garage door opened without any problem but I had to prop a piece of wood under it and lower it by hand. I also explained to him the light on the opener has blinked rapidly on and off since we bought the house 6 years ago whenever the door was opened. He explained it may just need a blah-blah-blah adjustment that would be covered by the $75 service call. I then told him the left torsion spring was broken and he said to replace both springs would cost $225. He said he could come to the house the next day at 8a or 5p. We agreed on 8.. He showed up promptly the next day and proceeded to patiently answer all my questions. I was with him the entire time, 1.5 hours, replacing both springs and he lubricated the wheels then tested the door several times to make sure it worked. He picked up all his tools and I paid him $225. He was prompt, courteous, friendly, professional and efficient. PS the garage door light works properly. and quot;Kid falls in a well and she becomes cross-eyed. She gets kicked in the head by a horse and her eyes are normal. Go figure !and quot; Cousin Eddy

Clark came out promptly and was an absolutely pleasure to work with. I enjoyed visiting with him while he fixed the door for less money than I expected. He's awesome and very competent. I recommend him highly.

When my fifty year old garage door mechanism finally failed, I called the Highland Door Company. Mr. Cross responded promptly. He came out looked at the problem and gave me an estimate to replace the mechanism. He also helpfully raised the door so that I could remove my care from the garage. He returned the next day to begin the job. Although a problem developed, and he had to order additional parts, within two days I had a completely new automatic door opening system. During the time that he worked at my home, he was unfailingly professional and pleasant, and I am delighted with the result. I would recommend him highly, and will not hesitate to call if I should again need his services.

Clark responded immediately when we requested a quote. His was the most reasonable price. When we chose his company, he set a quick date for the installation. When he arrived (on time) to install the doors, he said we have a low garage ceiling, but he would modify the existing tracks, thus saving us over $200 for special hardware. The installation went smoothly and quickly, and our new doors look wonderful. We've had them over a year, and people stop by to ask where we got them. A neighbor called for his info, and she said she's not getting any other quotes because she likes our doors so much. Our doors are pictures #4and 5 on his web site.

We called to request a quote. Clark asked all the pertinent questions relating to the job and said he would get a quote and call us back. He did just that, rather quickly. He gave us the best price for the door we had chosen and the repair on the opener. He ordered the door and then we set a date to install. An employee, named Spencer, came out and started the installation and did a great job, working steadily until it was installed. Clark came later and helped with the repair on the opener. The experience was very pleasant and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Exceptional service from original email contact to completed repair. Clark responded quickly, set up an appointment within just a few days and offfered a cost estimate. He and his partner arrived on time, confirmed the problem, and installed the replacement sensors efficiently - and for the estimated cost. He did not try to talk us into a new opener, rather he assured us our old opener still had much usage left He also guaranteed the replacement parts. This is a knowledgable, professional repairman. All work was performed efficiently and for a reasonable cost. All work was also carefully explained. The new rollers function much more smoothly than the old ones, making the whole process of operating the door more efficient and a great deal quieter.

Second time I have used this company. Very likeable and knowledgible. Will use again if needed.

Was a very positive experience. Highland door is owned and run by one man, who does his best to be very professional in every way. We were very happy.

They were on time and did an excellent job. I had anticipated a full replacement. They said they could repair it and they did for a very reasonable cost.

I was thankful that he did not choose the easy path and much more expensive option of new doors, but worked with what I have and came up with the least expensive solution to my problem. He went back to the shop and came back that afternoon and finished the job. He explained what he did and how I might have problems with my openers in the future just because of the stress the pull was putting on them due to the bad angle it was using, but they may hold out just fine (which is my hope!). I now have 2 functioning garage doors. The service was great, timely and reasonably priced. I would use Highland Door again in the future. Update: Noticed just yesterday that he also repaired some siding that was pulling away from the inside of my garage door from the bad angle before. This was something I thought I was going to have to fix but they took care of it without me asking.
