The sale I have no problem with, the delivery service is terrible. I discussed how to get to my house and told the sales people that I have a very steep driveway. The number for my house if plainly visible from the road. However the delivery man could not find my house, he was about three doors down in a huge 26' truck. He called a number of times to confirm my address but even though I could see him half a block down from my address, he couldn't find me. I had moved my little pickup off my drive to allow him better access and mobility at the top of the drive with his truck. He refused to drive up the driveway and asked me to load the refrigerator on to my truck or to get a friend with a truck to bring it up the driveway. He is the delivery man, not me, not my friends. They stated that the truck they were driving was too big, and they would have to reschedule. They called to confirm the rescheduled delivery and asked if I would like to talk to a customer service person and I chose to do this; to make certain they were going to have the adequate staff and truck for the job; unfortunately after being put on hold twice and over ten minutes waiting I was disconnected. I am not impressed.
Description of Work: I purchased a refrigerator from H. H. Gregg. It should be delivered tomorrow.

Description of Work: We built a new home and used HH Gregg or many of our appliances (2 refrigerators, W/D, range, micro, TV, etc.) We live in Brevard, NC and decided to purchase their service plan because those calls can add up so far out of Aville. The dryer soon began smelling hot and making loud noises. HH Gregg told us to contact the Samsung toll free number to arrange a service call. A&E Appliance Repair Co. is the contractual provider for Samsung products. For our area, the repairman comes from Hendersonville once a week. It took the repair guy over a full week to come to our home. Apparently the HH Gregg delivery guy left packing tape on the heating element which began burning and giving off bad smells. The appliance repair man removed the tape but when he closed the dryer back up he left a loose screw which became looser and noisier over time. So we called A&E back and were informed we would have to wait two weeks because that one repairman for our area was booked solid. The fact that it was their error which created the new problem was not their concern. Frustrating. The HH Gregg saga continued when we paid them $99 to have their outside sound consultant give us a quote on a Sonos Sound System. The fee would be applied to the purchase of the Sonos... Unfortunately, when the consultant arrived he had never even heard of Sonos.... he commenced to quote on a pieced together system using 4 different product lines... We contacted the owner of this consulting service to ask if anyone in his employment could meet our needs and he failed to follow up. Again, frustration. By this time, I was fed up trying to work with HH Gregg so I did not pursue it any further. But I am writing this lengthy review.to warn others. Their sales reps did a good job. But once the payment clears, don't look for any further help.

Description of Work: We purchased a washer & dryer set and a microwave. The salesman spent time answering our questions even though he knew we were not going to buy that day. Once purchased, the appliances were delivered as scheduled and installed quickly and professionally.

Description of Work: We bought a washer and dryer for our daughter for Christmas. Delivery was sched. for a Wed., no call. When we called them, they said it was not on their sched. Re-sched. for Fri., again no call, we called them, stated none left in stock, that it was a Black Friday Item. Re-sched. for Sun. They called to say they would be at our daughters house between 1-4. When they arrived, they had only dryer, no washer. We refused delivery. Called to complain, spoke with a manager who stated he'd make it right. Re-sched. for Fri. The next morning they called to say they had a delivery, to include a washer and dryer for that day. We let them deliver, because we were afraid they would not have it in stock again. The products were fine, but the delivery was very poor. We did not request our money back because it was a good deal.

Purchased acomplete set of new appliances over a 10 day period. Washer/dryer,refrigerator, range, dishwasher. They were fine to deal with until our money was in their bank. After that they became very unresponsive...did not return phone calls, did not follow through or honor any of their commitments. 1. On the washer/dryer delivery their driver did not bother to wipe his feet before coming into the house and as a result tracked all kinds of filth onto our family room carpets. I noted this on the delivery slip..the driver took pictures and I notified customer service. I was assured that the matter would be looked after within a couple of days. Never heard back, so rather than have our family room look like a pigsty, we cad the carpets cleaned on our own. 2. They screwed up the dishwasher delivery. It arrived on a Sunday with parts missing. Notified the store. They said to refuse the delivery and a new one would be delivered the next day (Monday). Monday comes, no phone call, no delivery. Called to find out what was going on and was told it would now be delivered on Wednesday, and to compensate us for our inconvenience, they would issue a $50.00 credit back to our credit card. Dishwasher was delivered, account credit was not. Called to check on the credit, left a message, no one bothers to call back. They can keep the $50.00, but the've lost me as a customer and over the lobg term that will cost them a lot more than $50.00 and the cost of some carpet cleaning. After a period of time, someone did finally call me about the problems. It was the delivery manager for this region and she was quite concerned about all that had happened and did indicate that she would at least rectify the financial issues. A\Two seek after I spoke with her lo and behold, checks arrived to cover the promised credit for the dishwasher and for the cost of cleaning the carpet. The story is not quite finished. For every appliance delivery over $499.00 Gegg offers free delivery. They charge for the delivery, then after filling ou and submitting a rebatet a form (getting these was like pulling teeth as well) the delivery charges are refunded in the form of a Visa gift card. I submitted the forms for all three of the deliveries. On one of them I was notified that it wasn't eleigible for the rewfund. Called to complain and again, after talking to more than one person, was told that they would do an override and that I would receive the rebate. So now I'll hold my breath and see if all the rebates are ultimately paid. I still stand by my overall D rating. Dealing with these people is kind of like dealing with health care insurance companies. Occasionally, if you're really lucky you come across someone who cares.

Description of Work: Ordered (special order) an LG refrigerator/freezer March 9,2010 because HHG did not have the item in stock which we wanted (white, bottom freezer). Paid by credit card full payment the day of order. Delivery promised in "up to 6 weeks". Delivery and installation made April 27, 2010. HHG did not schedule delivery until I had made three inquiries about delivery. Deliverer did not have the form for a $70 rebate on delivery as promised. Repeated phone calls (4) to Asheville store produced only promises to send form for rebate. No results so far (8 May 2010)
