Guthrie's PC Service

I feel that I have found a TREASURE! Guthrie's PC Service is owned by people who demonstrate old-fashioned values of integrity and service. My laptop was really messed up: slow; weird error messages; dysfunctional e-mail, etc., etc. Even my iTunes didn't work right. Father Boyd Guthrie and daughter Carla were most attentive to my descriptions by phone and to the notes I brought in describing the probl ems I'd been having. The estimated price quoted was by far the most reasonable I'd encountered in phoning several other computer service businesses. An extremely valuable part of the service was that when I picked up my laptop 2 days later, Carla took considerable time going over things she had done so that I would understand removal of conflicting software, recommendations for others, and answering every one of my list of questions. I found this incredibly helpful and would be very surprised to find that level of generous attention elsewhere. I cannot recommend this company too highly for their kindness, professionalism, expertise, cost effectiveness, and patience with a non-geek! My laptop is now humming along happily and safely, and so am I.

Simple issue- cost to repair defective part was more than it was worth. They offered to source a rebuilt on, but it was already a refurbished machine that I bought from TigerDirect, and it wasn't worth repairing. I will definitely be back. My main concern was my files, I had just come back from 2 international trips and hadn't put them on an external hard drive yet, and had documents that I needed. They were able to save them, so I was happy.

Excellent. Work was completed quickly and professionally, and at a more than fair price. I would recommend this company without reservations.
