Fine was done w Ex party as we were travelling. Neglected to find numerous obvious defects Ie.. broken pipes ,leaking toilet ,snake and pest infestation in attic and basement took us 6 months to rectify we know see evidence of termites in attic and we paid for pest inspection. Hard to believe the inspection was done and if so the inspector was blindfolded . Ridiculous number of issues which we found over time .

Did a very thorough job. There was a lot of work to be done. They found a lot of things that needed to be fixed. I received a very nice detailed report. They came on time, answered their phone and did a great job.

.As a realtor, Joey is my "go to" person for home inspections. A former contractor, he is very thorough and does more than most of the other inspectors. Joey likes to have the person paying for his services arrive on the scene at the end of the inspection so that he can explain the various items found and answer any questions. To avoid any conflict of interest issues, he does not do any repairs, but can recommend people. My clients adore him, but are not Angies List members. My clients have included former contractors. I have used him at least 10 times.

We found Joe through another inspector. We were looking to book with this other inspector who ended up directing us to joe Farris once we described that we needed a really thorough job because we were worried that there could be some shady stuff being passed off my the seller (since they are do it yourselfers). This other inspector said we should use Farris Home Inspection because Joe used to be a remodeler and builder- so he really knows is something was done correctly or not. How is this for a complement- out agent said he had never before seen a more thorough inspection before! I really appreciated Joe's communication style as as so direct and clear and helpful with all of my questions. I've never owned a house like the one we had him inspect and so he offered that I could be present during the inspection. On the inspection day he took me around and educated me on various things I should know about opening this house. He basically went above and beyond his role of inspector to also be a thoughtful educator to make sure I really understood what he was putting in his report. After receiving the report I emailed him asking for recommendations on electricians, pest control and mold inspectors and was pleased when he promptly responded with contact information for those service providers. I would certainly work with Joe again.

Joe arrived for the inspection in a timely manner. His inspection was very thorough and he even went back and reinspected many areas just to be sure that he didn't miss anything. The report was very detailed and included photos, descriptions, and even diagrams of proposed repair where applicable. I would most definitely recommend Farris Home Inspections for anyone looking for a detail oriented, thorough, professional, friendly home inspector.

Joe was fantastic to work with in setting up the appointment. He was responsive, attentive and flexible. He also set up pest and radon tests at a very fair cost. He inspected the house and had a report back to us on the same day. The report he provided was exceptional. It was detailed, comprehensive, and exceptionally helpful to the process of buying our home. It was provided in digital format, which made sharing it with the contractors and sellers of our house very easy. I was surprised that a home inspection could impress me this much–but it did! I would heartily recommend Joe as an inspector.

Joe was very detailed and thorough. His report far exceeded our expectations. He wrote many pages of notes and took many pictures. I was the only one present during the inspection so I was able to show my husband (later in detail) what was found. He was very courteous too. I highly recommend him.
