We couldn't be happier with CertaPro. The 2 guys they sent to us showed up bright and early each day, for 3 days and stayed all day. They even ate lunch out of their truck to save time. They did an excellent job, taking great care in the details and cleaning up each day. The cost was lower than all of the other estimates, by several hundred dollars. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again for ANY painting needs!

I've put off reviewing this company for a year, because - although the job turned out well enough - I found it a difficult experience [for want of a better word]. I decided on this company because it seemed like a professional outfit, and more importantly , they talked about using 'carbon steel blades' which would do a better scraping for prep, which gave me hope that they would get rid of much of the loose, peeling old paint. [This was my biggest concern in painting this old house.] Also the pricing seemed fair [middle of 3 estimates I had gotten]. They charged a little extra because the original paint had lead, which I believe amounted only to dropping plastic sheeting to catch the old paint scrapings - the first time. So they came out and started to scrape. As I recall that may have been all they did the first day - and I understood they weren't coming out the next day. So I went off for a bit in the morning [don't always lock my back door] - and I came back to find one of the painters had opened the back door and started painting it. I complained about this to the owner and then I let it go. They painted throughout the day, but the man who just had to start painting the door right away that morning, didn't do the second coat on it 'til late, so that he didn't finish until like 6pm or so in the evening - and then told me I had to leave the door open for a couple more hours to let it dry before I closed it. That was annoying because i needed to leave. And it made me think again, why the heck did have to go into my house so early in the morning to start on the door, and then leave the second coat 'til so late? Grrr. As far as I could tell they they were done that day. The house and trim was completely painted. When I got up the next morning I went out to take a look around. I was stunned: paint was coming up everywhere. I was sick with the feeling that I had just thrown away my money. I called the owner to come out. I think I called the painter as well. They both came out right away. The owner tried to tell me , oh not a problem, they were coming back all along. And the paint always lifts up like that. I don't think that was true. The owner took the painter off and continued assessing the job and I heard him tell the painter '...she's right...'. They came back and said they'd take care of my concerns. The result was that what they just painted they scraped again - and I believe they scraped more that second day than they did the first. They painted again and - as I said it came out well enough. And, I would possibly consider using them again because they can do a good job - I just won't walk away and assume they will. Also, if you use them, make sure that the office and the painters are on the same page: the office would tell me when the painter was coming, but the painter would tell me something else. Made for a frustrating experience. Also I paid for two coats - and part of the job that first day was being done with a brush. Later, though, they switched to a sprayer. Next paint job I have done I will clarify if two coats means - paint it. Let it dry. Then go back around again - OR - does it just mean you wave the spray gun back and forth twice.

When I first contacted Certapro and made an appt for an estimate they never showed for the appt and I had to call back to get it scheduled again. I was quoted that this would be a 4 day job to complete inside but it could take an additional day potentially for wallpaper removal. The job took 2 weeks of on/off work to complete. Crew worked from 8:30A-3PM with hour lunch most days but left even earlier on others. They did not work the Friday of first week and had to come back the next week which caused me to find someone to come house sit as I had to travel which I made very clear up front. The paint job had some issue that something bled through and walls had to be repainted. Some of paint crackled and that had to be redone as well. They did not pain the closet doors as requested. It would take We were never asked about approving the final work and to date have not received the final invoice on the cost so that I can compare to the agreed upon quote. I have used Certapro in past in another city with great results but I am extremely disappointed in how this project was handled, quality fo work done etc. I will not be using them again for future work.

Bryan's quote was quite reasonable and considerably below the other two I received. His crew did an excellent job, kept the worksite clean and were very professional. Julie at the office was fantastic keeping us informed and quickly the couple of small issues that arose. I am very happy with the job that was done.

I got them from Angie's List and it turned out great. It just looks perfect and I love it. I have every room in this house that needs to be painted and they will be doing the job for me. I'm waiting to hear from them although the estimate was for $2000 but because they did not know how long it's going to take to scrap all of the popcorn and that was based on per man hour so I should hear from them today or tomorrow with the final bill. They were so professional. They didn't dilly dally but they worked and they were great. I don’t have a feel on their pricing because up until this I've always done all my own painting and I'm sixty four now. I had one more estimate and I was not thrilled with them though they were only a couple of hundred dollars off of what CertaPro was. They were top on and their communication was great. Their professionalism was very good.

This is the second time we have used them in the last year - and they are great to work with. They are punctual and get back to us in a timely manner. When we told them there were a few places the missed, they came right back out to correct it.

I paid about 7000$, they kept price going up, it ended up being overpriced. They ended up having to do two parts everyday and I hardly questioned by that had to be. It was recommended by my realtor and they did a good job the last time. The workers were very courteous, but the prices were much higher than the ledger stuffs.

I am hiring this crew to do the exterior of my home, they did such a good job. At last a company who understands that the customer is king. The painters that did the upstairs left windows painted shut, took 9 coats to do a bathroom and generally left the place in a real mess, paint on the floors, walls not caulked properly and I paid them a fortune so I fired them and hired certapro. Certapro are top quality, no fuss, they just get on with the job, I can't praise them highly enough.

Outstanding crews. On time, neat, lots of drop cloths, cleaned up after they were finished. Never found paint cans on counters or anywhere that they could do damage to surfaces. I interviewed four painters in total. These guys were fair with their price; their paint was not cheap paint (Sherwin Williams) and they did everything that they said they were going to do.

Job went very well and they were very professional.

I was not here when the house was being painted so I don't know about punctuality. The painting was done in a week. They did a very good job on the walls. The trim, not so much. I keep finding new areas that have to be re-painted. Certapro did offer to come back and do touch-up, but we had moved in, and that would have been hard with all the boxes, furniture and the general chaos with moving to another state. I can do touch-up, but there are whole sections of trim that were missed, or painted the same color as the wall. There is also a lot of spattered paint on rugs and tile. One accent wall was painted the wrong color. I would not have been charged for the touch-ups, but I didn't want to pay again to have the accent wall in one room corrected.

We received 4 quotes from various painting contractors. Now, some of the quotes were higher and some lower. We took the middle price. We contracted with them to paint about 1800 square feet of ceiling and high gloss white paint on the interior built-ins. Also, paint the stucco wall on the exterior. Now, painting scheduling was most interesting since the contractor had to work around a schedule that sometimes got delayed since the crew would be on a exterior job that would get delayed because of rain and have a weather delay. So, I had to be patient with the contractor. The quote included the paint, but I had the opportunity to choose the manufacturer as well as the type (latex, oil, etc). In the proposal, which was just great, they outlined that we had to remove all items from the wall as well as window coverings.In any paint job, there will be "dust" so you must be prepared to some clean up. The crew left every day by cleaning their work, however, we still had to do some additionall cleaning. They were delayed each day, since they had to stop by the paint store to secure the paint, so arrival times varied from 9:30AM-10:30AM. They left every day around 4:30PM, so we had the evenings to clean and cook dinner. The total job time was about 4.5 days. Make sure that the proposal is correct and ll the points are covered. We had allot of nail holes to be covered and also some rain spots on the ceiling that also had to be covered. Over all they did a great job and was anxious to do what we expected them to do.

Called Brian Chamber at CertaPro painters in regards to staining our deck. It had some wear spots and was very dingy and had no stain or paint on it in years. It was very grey and old looking. Brian came out within the time window given and gave our deck a thorough inspection. We explained there were some special circumstances with our mother who lived downstairs and that we needed them to ensure that no spray or fumes would leak into the home with our mother. Brian used an all natural product that has held up very well to our dogs wear and tear and they put up lots of plastic to keep our mother's breathing safe. Brian and his crew were very professional and took very good care of us.

The estimate was done as scheduled. We discussed the time frame for the work to be completed while we were out of town. We met several times to review color choices, discuss some details of the crack repair work to be done, and how we should prepair the condo for the work crew to best do their jobs. We provided them with an entry key and explained when we would be returning from our trip When we returned they were just finishing up some of the touch up work and removal of their materials. We walked through the condo and found a few items that needed to be touched up at a later time. We paid for the work and agreed to a follow up schedule to complete a few of the items that needed additional work. They returned as planned, completed the touch up items and we signed off on the completed work. The crew did a great job - did it on time and their care for our condo and the items that the had to move and reposition was very professionally completed. We will use them again when we need additional painting work done.

The Certa Pro crew, with Fernando as foreman, spent a few weeks this summer/early fall repinting our newly purchased home in Arden. They started inside with ceilings, walls, trim, closets - the works! They were very professional and did a wonderful job! They finished the entire interior, then the 3 car garage - ceiling to floor, before moving outside. The exterior work was completed in the same fashion as inside, including garage doors, siding, deck, soffits, etc. We are very pleased with the work they did for us, and most happy with the wonderful crew who did the painting. They were careful not to let our dogs out, always careful to keep things clean and picked up, were happy to take a second look at areas needing reworking, etc. We are happy to recommend Bryan and his capable crew at Certa Pro Painting!

Very well. Communication regarding options, estimate and timing was good. Workers were courteous,capable and very careful to clean up.

It was a difficult job but they did it well. The reason why it was difficult was because there were some very high parts that needed to be reached and they were able to do it.

We have used them three or four times. They have always done a great job. The company is ran very professionally. They do not mention payment until you are totally satisfied with the work.

They were competitive with the price. I think that they were diligent and responsive. The prep work was not done correctly with scraping and priming the paint. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They should have scraped and primed and not pressure washed as the quality would have been better.

The fence was fine but we were never really happy or satisfied with the work on the deck. The paint on the deck was not the quality we anticipated as it chipped after 6 months.
