Description of Work: Carol Marin's work exceed's all criteria for a Page of Happiness nomination. Her high standards of customer service, real estate/geographical knowledge and integrity are heads and shoulder's above the rest. She exceeds the "A" rating on Angie's List. Carol is an A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ winner in our view. The above approximate cost is the estimated commission from a real estate transaction. Searching for a home, in a new area, is a daunting task. Our time frame for relocation, home / lot requirements and budget were discussed with Carol in February 2010. Several realtors told us that, with our requirements, we would not find the home we wanted in the City of Asheville. Carol found us the perfect home. It met every requirement...a retro ranch house, flat lot, within budget, and inside the city limits in the Beverly Hills Subdivision. What was considered impossible for some was possible for Carol Marin. Carol's organizational skills, work ethic and dedication to meeting her clients needs are evident in the way she approached our search. On numerous occasions she personally evaluated potential homes: took additional property photographs to give us a clearer perspective of features versus MLS general listing photo's, and gave her professional assessment of the area. Her follow-up to questions regarding tax's, future trends, neighborhood qualities and potential issues was flawless. Prior to purchasing the home we live in, she found another property that met our needs. During the contract negotiations, it became increasingly clear, that Carol, as our agent, was exceptional in her profession. There is no doubt that she puts her clients first. It's true that agents are paid a commission. We've worked with many realtor's in many moves over our lifetimes. Carol's performance is the exception to the rule. Fast forward to 2012 and we are living in our new home. Working toward our move in time frame was an opportunity to strengthen our business relationship. We developed 100 ++++% confidence and trust in Carol. On a Monday morning in August, 2011, Carol phoned us about a new MLS listing. We accessed the internet and loved the photo. Carol dropped everything and rushed to the house listed for sale. She walked the property, inside and out while providing a verbal narrative accompanied by smart phone photo's. Site unseen, we loved what she described, trusted her intuition and immediately made an offer. It was accepted, inspected, negotiated and closed. Our new home is perfect in every way as was our real estate agent. All of the objectives were achieved while we were living in another state !
