I can't believe I could afford my dream kitchen. I am loving it and I have added space and functionality. It was great working with Les. He is creative and was very helpful all along the way. He will be helping with my bathroom as well.

Les was so easy to work with. He was punctual, professional and accommodating. He is a very skilled craftsman and it definitely shows in the final product. I could not be more pleased with the way the cabinets and open shelves turned out. I would hire Les again without a moment’s hesitation!

We designed the fireplace and Les had the blue prints made to our specs and Les built an incredible fireplace!!!!! A true master craftsman of old!! Perfect job! Les also had suggestions since he has an eye for dimensions, shapes and color schemes. Love his attention to details, and Les is a perfectionist. If you want something that is built to last with that flair of quality, then don't waste your time and give Les a call. He's worth the wait, because regret isn't something we wanted to get strapped with.

Allowing him to use his own creativity is a plus too if you have any difficult jobs. He's honest, fair and wants to make sure his work is at his high standard. We highly recommend!

Cabinets are very high quality. Completed ahead of schedule. I'm very happy with them.

It went perfectly. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but had not thought out all the details. Les helped me through the process, made samples and gave me advice. It turned out great and was stress free. I knew when he was coming and he kept me informed of the progress. He did a lot of work off site, showing me samples throughout. The end product surpassed my expectations.

Les and his cabinet/counter top making skills were fantastic!. Our general contractor recommended we price compare with Les on our quote from Lowes. Les matched their price and far, far exceeded their quality of work, producing beautiful cherry cabinets. During the design phase, Les made some tweaks to the cabinet layout, which improved the function of the kitchen. Also made a significant contribution to the overall design of the kitchen, by suggesting we extended a line of cabinets, which broke up an otherwise boxy design. We decided to add a breakfast bar and Les built a beautiful, curved bar (the curve was his idea, which again really added to the overall success of the project.) matching the beautiful cherry cabinets. Besides the cabinet and counter tops, Les also did some stain work on a pair of barn doors - perfectly matching one to another. He also brought back to life a small section of flooring which was slightly damaged during the remodeling. Les met several times with us to get the cabinet design right. He made several very important creative contributions, which really added to the project. He showed up on time, every time, ready to work. With our open floor plan, the cabinets Les made are the highlight of the new kitchen!

Beyond beautiful. Les made the entire front flat panels across the first layer of drawers from one piece of wood so the grain was continued from one side to the other. The drawers and doors below were shaker style and those also were matched across the unit. His recommendation of the stain of the piece was right on. If we had chosen the colour we originally wanted it would have been far too dark. His input to the final choice of handles was also spot on. The living room replacement doors fit perfectly and he matched the paint on those.

He sent me photos of his work for my approval as he progressed with making the door. He selected excellent quality wood and his workmanship was perfection. We love the new door and highly recommend him.

Les was always on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after himself every time he came to work. He has a very pleasing personality with an easy flow of conversation. He gave me options on the job with the opportunity to save money with different ideas. When visitors see what he has done in my kitchen they have been VERY impressed with his workmanship. Some work with wood themselves and they have extremely favorable things to say. Les has created an easy kitchen to work in and I'm very grateful for his expert workmanship and his ability to help me live an independent and comfortable life. If I have a need in the future Les will be the only person I will call.

We are very pleased with the headboard that Les custom designed for us. We upgraded from a queen to a king sized bed and had problems finding a headboard that would fit in the space where a window was located. We couldn't find anything in the retail market that solved the problem. Les came over, took measurements and provided several options. We picked one from his sketches and are extremely satisfied. He was very professional and courteous. He delivered and installed the headboard. He even rehung a picture over the bed for us since my husband was on crutches. We highly recommend him and plan to contact him again when we are ready for more home improvements, including new cabinets.

Les was great here took my drawings and built custom cabinets for me. He did a beautiful job.

Les Dunne had just moved to Asheville as we had done and was looking to establish his business. I found his card at the Driver's License Office and gave him a call. He was very prompted on the times he set and if times didn't work he was prompt to reschedule by texting. Furniture damage was done in three phases. Scratches that could be fixed without nasty chemicals were fixed in our house, furniture needing extensive work (i.e.) broken was taken to his shop and tops being refinished with smelly finishes also were taken to his shop. During the time he worked on our furniture we had two major family medical emergencies. Les' worked around our needs!

I definitely would call him for ANYTHING That needs to be done in my house. I am very particular and he is too!

I have never done anything like remodeling a kitchen or baths before so I didn't know what to expect. I received a bid from a large company in which I would just go to their facility and point to the things I wanted in cabinets, countertops, hardware, flooring etc. In contrast Les's bid involved my going and choosing some things on my own. I decided to go with Les because his bid was lower and I had a good feeling about his talent after seeing some of his projects. Doing some of the legwork was WELL WORTH IT in the long run. Because Les does all custom work, I got exactly what I wanted. I never heard "It doesn't come in that size." As an example, my kitchen is small so Les suggested decreasing the depth of one side of cabinets by a few inches so the kitchen didn't seem cramped. It made a significant visual difference and one cannot tell that the size was reduced. I'm thrilled with everything. In addition to Les's fine handiwork, he gave me a ton of design ideas that turned out great. These ideas were not part of our original deal so I feel that I got far more for my money than expected. He also helped take much of the stress out of the project by keeping me informed of everything. If I did it over, it would be exactly the same--and with Les. PS I'm happy to show my kitchen to anyone in the Asheville area who is interested in seeing an example of Les's work.
