Did a great job. On time, very professional and careful. Cleaned up debris and disconnected plumbing and electrical connections. These guys are excellent. Cost was less then half Lowe's and cabinets and sinks will be sold and not sent to landfill.
Description of Work: Deconstructed my kitchen and bathroom before we remodeled. Cost was less then half Lowe's.

I was pleased they had a big loading dock, and had a resale outlet where I knew my goods would go to good use. They allowed me to leave with a receipt that was sufficient to document the $5,000 or so worth of goods (at thrift store value pricing) that I donated. They unloaded my truck, they had plenty of staff on that busy day.
Description of Work: I used them to donate a 20' truck filled with furniture and tools, from when my Dad died. Regrettably since Dad's house was 2 stories, I had to hire the truck myself at my expense. (Charities don't handle stairs any more for liability reasons, I was told).

Description of Work: The Habitat for Humanity de-construction crew completely removed all cabinets and appliances in my old kitchen and took them away to be refurbished and put in the Habitat Store. They removed the cabinets with no damage to cabinets or walls, swept up debris, arrived on time and finished in just 2 hours. The best part is that everything in my old kitchen will get recycled instead of being torn apart and put into a land fill. Would definitely use this de-construction service again.

They have a retail store. It's a non-profit, community-oriented helping service agency. They've been in the city of Asheville for years and years. They're very well-known. I've held them very high. They do great work. They're committed to the community.
Description of Work: I donate to that. That's a habitat and you donate stuff. I donate something twice a year.

They have a good quality. They would put it out on the floor and resell it to respective regular resale store. It's a good will for salvation army. They're wonderful. I think their prices were getting a little bit too ahead of themselves. I think that if they keep their prices intact they would keep the trucking consumers. I would use this store again in the future.
Description of Work: I bought good quality furniture there I just wasn't using them anymore. I go there every other month. I looked around see things and everything I want.

Description of Work: About a year ago I used the Habitat deconstruction team to take out our old kitchen in preparation for renovation. I was very pleased with the crew at that time, and so was pleasantly surprised to see on their web site they also did deconstruction of bathrooms. As we are currently ready to renovate three bathrooms, I called them up to see if they would do the deconstruction. I must have called 4 or 5 times trying to get someone responsible for deconstruction to call me back. When he finally did (after about 3 or 4 weeks of trying), it turned out they really don't like to do bathrooms as it is difficult for them to get enough material out of them to make the deconstruction worth their cost. They said they would have to charge the difference between what they could sell the items salvaged and $1000. I can understand the difficulty related to bathroom deconstruction but after I told him the extent of what I had to do, he agreed to send someone out to estimate the value of our items and give us a cost for the deconstruction. They never got back with me again. One thing I will say in their favor is that I also had a number of items that needed to be picked up, and he had the scheduler call me back. She called promptly, arranged a date, and two nice gentleman showed up on time and picked up our items.

Joel, the deconstruction superintendent was absolutely great. He came out to review the job, was punctual, let us know exactly what he would do and how long it would take (1 day). We later made an appointment for the removal, and again, he and helper showed up on time and completed the job by 1:00 pm that day. They worked fast but carefully, left the power and plumbing safe and secure, and cleaned up. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
Description of Work: We donated our kitchen cabinets and appliances to Habitat, and the deconstruction crew came out to completely disconnect, remove and haul away.
