Description of Work: Air Craftsman installed an American Standard heating and cooling system (a four ton Platinum edition) at our home. They dropped the unit during installation and refused to replace this malfunctioning unit for two heating/cooling seasons until the NC State Licensing Board forced them to do so.

+ -1 moreThe previous contractor who installed the heat pumps in our new home cut lots of corners. Air Craftsman made the appropriate repairs and thoroughly explained the reason for each fix. They were careful not to try to have us do more than was needed. They explained the priority of each fix. The only criticism we had was the scheduling became a bit of an issue because of unexpected calls from current customers. We were at that time a new customer and they put their current customers ahead of everyone else when there is a heat wave or a cold snap. We have since come to appreciate their policy in doing this. We would recommend Air Craftsman for professionalism, experience and trustworthy advice.
Description of Work: Air Craftsman repaired a leak in our heat pump. They also installed items that had been left off our heat pump when the first contractor install the pumps in our new home.

Description of Work: Replaced aging oil furnace with new high efficiency model. Immediate improvement in comfort along with a decrease in fuel consumption. Employees knowledgeable, respectful and prompt.

Description of Work: We have Air Craftsman Heating and Cooling come periodically. We have an appointment for them to come out later in May. They were here last year. We paid for year of maintenance and whatever service that is needed. They come out when we start using the heat and when we start using the air conditioning. That also includes the filters.

+ -1 moreWe have been using this service for 20 years. They are very punctual and go above and beyond what they are asked to do. There may be a cheaper price out there but the people that come out to do the job are worth it.
Description of Work: We have an annual service contract with them which includes winterizing and making necessary repairs on our heating and cooling unit. They have installed a heat exchanger a couple years ago. They also installed the heat and air conditioning unit in our home.

+ -1 moreThe guy came out and didn't have the part, which I don't necessarily hold that against them because he didn't charge to come out a second time. The one upstairs had an issue with the pilot light, he didn't get it adjusted just right, but he came back out the second time and didn't charge. I know a lot of these places will charge every time they come out, even if they are wrong. They are relatively honest. I don't have enough of this type of work done to grade the price, but it seems OK, I just hate to give them a grade and be wrong on it.
Description of Work: Air Craftsman Heating & Cooling came out about a year ago. I have two furnaces in my home, and the one downstairs heats most the house, and it wouldn't turn on right, but both of the furnaces needed serviced at that time. I think one cost me a few hundred and the other one maybe one hundred and fifty to two hundred.
