Well, but for the price I thought that the work was rather amateur.

Rick did an excellent job of conceptualizing what I wanted and then provided a quote for what I wanted done. Rick is very knowledgeable and came up with the best plants for my yard. He is very punctual and thorough in his work. I will have him install more landscaping for me in the near future!

The job went great. Rick was in constant contact with me, letting me know when he was coming out. The job looks amazing. Especially the steps. The path to get from top to bottom or bottom to top is so easy now for us. We can't thank him and his workers enough. It was hard work on steep hillsides and they were wonderful. We will definitely hire again.

Rick communicates very well, is extremely efficient, has great plants, and tries to please his customer. This is the 3rd time I have used his services and will use in the future.

We had a short timeline as we wanted to get the grass in before trees started to get leaves. Rick came by and provided a reasonable price and said he could do it the following week as he had an opening come up in his schedule. Called and said he could do it even earlier than initially discussed. He was on time and his crew worked very hard. Rick ended up having to get a little more sod as the sq footage I provided was slightly low. He got sod company to stay open late picked up sod, finished job and also left me a couple of other rolls to use in a different area. They are professional, on time, and hard working and informative. Can't ask for anything else.

He is very knowledgeable about best way 40 landscape yard with problems that I have with drainage coming in from other yards with rain and also grass not growing in yard. He finished job quickly and answered calls quickly.

They did come one other time and it was fine.

We initially hired Rick and crew to give us an idea of what to do with a wooded, not well-maintained yard in a home we had recently purchased. The price for the tree removal was competitive with other bids; the workers were quick and professional; and everything went smoothly. What we were most impressed with, however, was Rick's vision of landscaping for both our front and back yards. He was enthusiastic, full of ideas, and very specific about kinds of plants and arrangements. The crew finished the front plantings and mulching today, and everything looks very good. They were here for less time than they estimated. We have been impressed with how much dedication and effort the crew has put into all of the work they performed for us. We will be continuing our relationship with Advanced Landscaping for both landscaping and tree maintenance.

It went extremely well. I interviewed numerous companies for the project out right from the initial! Meeting rick had a solid grasp & vision of what I was trying to accomplish.

The whole process was great. I called several landscape/garden stores, but Advanced Landscape was the only one who could come out in a reasonable time (less than three months?). Rick came when promised, looked things over and talked with me about a few options. He gave me a price, I agreed, and he started the work that day. He came back several more times for site prep, when he said he would, and then planted the cotoneaster plants with the pine straw mulch as promised. They were very healthy plants and the job was well done. He replanted the front of the house which had gotten overgrown, and made it very attractive. He also suggested how to improve the front of the garage with river stones, which he did. It all looks terrific. He came back this year to plant ivy on a bank, and clean up a mess I had made in the plants that he put in last year. It was all on time, on budget and exactly what I wanted. Rick is easy to work with, very hard working and punctual, and uses mostly native type plants and materials to provide for an easy care landscape. He oversees all the work himself, with a crew that has been with him for a while that he trusts. I will call him again for anything that I need done in the yard.

After moving into our home in July 2014, the backyard was a place we didn't want to venture out into. It was overgrown and looked like a jungle. Weeds of every variety along with poison ivy was in abundance. Advanced Landscaping eradicated all the overgrown vegetation which took approximately two months. With constant spraying of weed killer, the weeds were gone. I told Rick, the owner of Advanced Landscaping, what we wanted ... a low-maintenance yard suitable for a cozy fire pit, play area (for horse shoes), a raised garden, gravel paths, fencing, and some grass for our dogs. He listened to my ideas and accepted a sketch I provided him. He offered suggestions which were great. After almost three months, we now have a beautiful backyard that's great for entertaining. Next year I'll be able to have my garden, something I'm looking forward to. Thank you, Rick, and your hard workers at Advanced Landscaping for a great job!

Rick & Co. were very responsive, timely, and trustworthy. The end result is solid, well-designed and attractive. I have not met Rick - made the arrangements long-distance and got to see the results weeks later. Thanks Rick! Highly recommend.

Rick was simply awesome. I have never had such a professional contractor do work on any project. He was always on time, always did what he said he would and made great suggestions. He was kind and I knew that he had my best interest in mind. The funny part is that I had three landscape contractors bid on the project - which was large - and in the end, Rick not only gave the best price, he gave the only price. One of the other two did not get back to me for over a month after visiting the site, and I never heard from the other. I would definitely use Rick and Advanced Landscaping again.

All the work was superb and done in a professional manner. He returns calls, answers questions and gives you lots of information. He also replaced a shrub that I think I might have killed. I have plans to have him take more trees down and do additional work for me. I did do some extensive research on many other landscaping companies and Rick was by far the most reasonable and easy to work with. We planted over 75 Cotoneasters none of which survived. We also planted 8 Azelias and several 5 Rhody's 4 of these died. Pine straw was placed on the banks as well. Rick advised this bank stabilization rather than investing in replacing a decaying RR tie retaining wall. 10 mos later the wall began collapsing, and we have had to replace it after all. Drainage adjustment and the sink hole filling worked ok. Rick was always responsive and punctual and easy to deal with. There was no followup to assure that the plantings and other work did well. However, we probably got no lasting value out of $7-8000 of the $11000 we spent. I liked Rick; we followed his advice and were disappointed with the product.

Rick and his crew were outstanding. He allowed me make changes in the original contract for added improvements. He worked under slightly difficult conditions with a paving contractor arriving the same day. He was always gracious and calm. Rick is prompt to return texts and answer questions, customer service is important to him. The work he did is lovely and i will definitely have him back for future improvements to the yard. Rick was very busy plus the weather had been poor for several weeks but he kept in communication with me so I knew when to expect him to do the work.He was on time and was very professional in doing my work. His work is of the highest quality and he made sure that I was completely satisfied before he left. I highly recommend Rick for all of your landscaping needs.

We are extremely satisfied with the work that Rick and his crew did. After many years of neglect; wisteria, grapevine, english ivy and poison ivy were swallowing the entire hillside behind our new house. Not only was it unattractive, it was well on it's way to choking out large trees that would certainly become a hazard looming above our home. Rick was very prompt in responding to our initial inquiry, he helped guide us through the best way to address the situation, quoted the job and accurately projected when and how long it would take to be completed. We couldn't be more pleased with the communication and service that Rick provides.

Rick was prompt, friendly and professional, and is most assuredly knowledgable. We strolled my thicket of a back yard for thirty minutes, and rather than provide me estimates, he provided me with a DIY roadmap, so to speak, free of charge and with a smile. Not because he was disinterested, but he understood that the complexity wasn't worth the effort; I could make dramatic improvements myself while saving a ton of money. He took the time to explain everything despite knowing he wasn't going to get work out of the deal. So in essence, he spent the time being my consultant at no charge. He's earned my trust and I'll call on him whenever I have other work to be done. No question.

In addition to designing and planting my front yard foliage, owner Rick Thrash and crew made sense of my overgrown .4 acre backyard--making it low maintenance for my big dogs, by eliminating weeds and underbrush and planting groundcover to make it as low maintenance as possible. Rick was very thoughtful and attentive to my wants, and offered me economically sound solutions in every case. His crew was tireless and professional. I enjoyed working with someone who listened, and who I felt was looking out for my best interests at each turn. A great experience on all counts.

Rick and his crew are hard working men that gave us a beautifully landscaped yard according to our concerns of little or no up keep. This is a new home with wood chips used as mulch on top of poor dirt/clay. They raked all, front & back, carted away along with cutting down five small trees and trimming others. Next came several loads of top soil spread out, plants, four dogwood trees, three Green Giant Arborvitae, Azaleas, Rododendren, Carissa Holly, Helleri Holly and ending with pine needles and periwinkle all over. There is a stone walk way on each side of the house to the water supply, and sod in the front joining the builders limited sod. They also replanted all plants that were in front of house ( wrong plantings from builder) scattered in the back of the house near the woods. Rick is quick to adapt to the homeowners concerns and communicates as he goes along. I highly recommend this honest, hardworking, knowledgeable company.
