Darrell was efficient and meticulous to every detail of the projects he was given. He showed initiative by sweeping out the entire garage when the shelf installation was completed. Everything he did exceeded my expectations in quality and quantity. He will be #1 on my list to call for future jobs. His company is well named "A+ Home Improvements"

Made prompt appointment and showed up on time. Repaired wall cabinet by bracing attic joists and repaired numerous squeaks in floor by bracing floor joists from crawlspace. Our upper cabinets had been sagging for several years and were getting worse. They now look perfect!! The squeaks in the floor have decreased dramatically. Could not have asked for nicer people and for better service at a reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend them. Will call them for any other repairs we need to have done.

Work was done on a rental house that was starting to show signs of aging due to weather and water leak in the bathroom as well as dog damage. Our arrangement was that I would pay for material, and he would charge me for the labor, at an estimated price. Darrel's carpentry work was excellent and he matched the siding boards very well. He painted all new wood that was put up.. Darrell was on schedule and there when he said he would be. I am very happy with his work and would not hesitate to use him again. The only drawbacks that I can say were that he asked me if I would haul away the debris as I had a trailer and he said his was full. This required me to make a trip to the land-fill. Also, a short section of the gutters was missed when he replaced them and I was not present at the house to notice it while he was there.

Excellent, Daryl is trustworthy, hardworking and honest. He was straightforward and came in under budget. He finished quickly and his guys were polite and professional. We will definitely use him for ou Mex remodeling project. We ended up buying environmentally sustainable wood and he made it last by being efficient. He's awesome!

They finished on schedule just as promised- sometimes working late and weekends to get the job done. They also finished within budget. Darrell was great at communicating what was going on in the process and any changes/decisions that needed to be made. His entire crew was very respectful and professional and I always felt safe and comfortable having them in our home. The work they did was exceptional- it was exactly what we wanted and the quality has been terrific. I would definitely hire A+ in the future if we have any more home improvement needs.

The whole experience could not have been better. Everyone who came was not only polite and professional but pleasant to have around. Darrell was here daily and always made sure that I was pleased with the work going on. He is knowledgeable, competent and a joy to work with. Two things really impressed me, in addition to his professionalism - he did more than our original agreement called for and he was always willing to make a change if I wanted it. That, along with his trustworthiness, make him unique in my experience. In the future, when my house needs anything done, inside or outside, I will call Darrell. We have already discussed a deck project in the spring and I look forward to working with him and his crew again.

Darrell and his crew did a very good job. They were punctual, thorough and neat. Darrell did an excellent job of reinforcing a weak railing without having to do a more expensive rebuild. Their price was significantly lower than the other estimate we got.

Well worth it. It is beautiful. I have dogs so gates were required for containment in different parts of the yard. Darrell was creative and suggested additional gates so that a vehicle can get into the back yard. Darrell's crew was just as friendly and pleasant as could be. Showed up on time and stayed on the job all day. It was a great experience. Once they started they were here until it was completed. The work quality is excellent. I would highly recommend them.

Terrific....my only hesitation is that everyone will call Darrel and I won't be able to schedule him. He's thorough, fair priced, and a good communicator. Highly recommend.

It was an excellent experience and we're glad we found Darrell and his staff. We could not ask for any better. He did the job right and he couldn't be a nicer guy. These days it's great to find someone that care so much about their work and do the job the right way.

He did the first job and we were pleased with him. So then we had him do the second job for us. This job went very well as well. We were pleased with his work and the time frame. He did what he was supposed to do. We thought painting was a little bit more than what we thought we could have. I was willing to pay for it because I didn’t want him painting a two story high roof. Overall I was pleased with his work and I would hire him again. He did good work. He was in and out of here pretty quickly. He was here when he said he would be here. He came early that day in the morning. We actually asked him not to come so early. He came at 7 o’clock in the morning. We are pleased with his work and we will use him in the future. His bid was the lowest. The quality of his work is good. I have no problem with that. He could have done better but he’s still good. He was responsive. He was willing to take extra work. I would use his services again in the future.

I was freaking out when we realized there were live babies stuck in the rafters of our porch. Time was of the essence to get the babies out alive. I called A+ Home improvement and immediately my call was answered by Darrell. I asked if he could meet me at the house that day at 3PM when the wildlife company was coming back. He said he would arrange to be here no matter what he was doing. He was right on time, removed the bead boards and then sawed a hole in the wood behind the bead board so the animal removal company could get the babies out. Everything went perfectly and without a hitch. Two days later Darrell came back to clean out the area and close up all holes. Not only is he friendly and kind, he is compassionate and professional. We had never discussed price because we just wanted the job done at whatever it cost. I will just say that Darrell is worth ALOT more than he charges. I would trust him implicitly alone in my house that is just the kind of character he has. He is a gem. I hope we have the opportunity to use his services again. Thank you Darrell and thank you Angie's list. This is the third time you have saved us angst and money. Your service is invaluable. Both of you guys keep up the great work.

This guy is just great. He has done other work for me. He is smart, skilled, and very nice. I called and asked him about this collection of odd jobs; he came by after his scheduled work that day and took a look. Came back to do the work about a week later, as agreed, brought a helper, was in and out in no time, did a great job, left the place clean and tidy, and gave me a reasonable price. I am having him back to paint a cottage in a couple of weeks. He's just a high quality craftsman and a high quality guy.

Darrell was very prompt and professional; returned my initial phone call immediately; came out that day, after his scheduled work, to give me an estimate, and did the work on the following two days. He was fast, extremely skilled, did a beautiful job, and hauled all the trash away. He just did an outstanding job at a reasonable price.

It was a process that took several days, as various changes (like tiling steps) had to "set" before work could continue, but the results are great! I should note that the $2,000 is only for labor. I bought all the tiles, vanity, shower doors etc. myself at Home Depot or Lowes. That was the way I wanted to do it.

Darrell showed up when he said he would, gave us some options on pricing, told us when he could do the job, showed up with a crew on-time, worked consistently, finished on time. We were very satisfied with the quality of work and plan to use him again to install a new shower in our bathroom.

We received quotes from several painters on Angie's List. While important, price was not the major factor in picking a painter. We were most concerned about having the job done correctly with plants being protected, the windows not being scratched by the pressure washer, no paint chips left behind, etc. Darrell Shroyer was very willing to work with us and address our concerns. He kept appointments, worked quickly, and most importantly, he did the job as described. His attention to detail was very good. Example: even though we didn't ask him to paint the entire soffit, he took it upon himself to paint it anyway because he felt that just painting part of it didn't look right. Of course, his price was what ultimately got him the job. One of the painters on Angie's List was twice as expensive as Darrell's quote. Some quick math showed the other vendor was making almost $50 per hour for the job. We have other non-painting jobs that need to be done and we'll strongly consider A+ Home Improvement for the jobs.

Good estimate given in reasonable amount of time. Did a great job and cleaned up afterward.

From the initial call to the finished product the service was excellent.

He started the work a week and a half ago. So far, everything has been good. He has been on time. He is fast and does a good job. I am happy with him so far. He is very prompt. He came out and gave me a bid. He answered all the questions that I had. He is neat. He ordered the materials and used some of the materials that I already had. He did the job and the floor looks great now. He is very responsible and dependable. The project will cost me $5000. I will use him again in the future.

They responded quickly to my call and began work within 2 days. While here, they kept the work area small and cleaned up after themselves when finished. I would highly recommend them.

The deck reinforcement was concluded in two days instead of the costed 4.5 days. This allowed time for the other two jobs. The three workmen worked fast and professionally. Their wide range of skills permitted the work to be completed quickly with good quality. There was no extra labor charge, so value for the money was outstanding.

They came when they said they would, finished the job under cost, finished the job on time, no time off they stayed until the last nail was in. They have been in contact to make sure all is well. Did not ask for check until work was completed and we were satisfied. As an Art Director I was very pleased with Darrell's design skills. No job was too small, they took on even the dirty work. I could not be more pleased.
