8/7/2015: Called Lowe's of Asheboro inquiring about the above fence install. The sales rep. came out that day and gave me a price. I chose Lowe's because of previous reviews I had read on Angie's list from other locations in North Carolina. To get started I had to pay for everything up front. There was no breakdown between the fence or the labor as pertaining to price. 8/21/2015: Informed by Lowe's material should arrive today and it did. 9/8/2015: Contacted sales rep. and added an additional 20' of vinyl fence. The cost for the addition was $491.03 which is included in the about price. 09/28/2015: Installer called to say would be coming out today to install fence. The weather was the reason for the delay in install. They installed the stockade fence along back yard and installed vinyl fence along side of driveway. Upon inspection I immediately noticed about 20' of the vinyl fence was missing. It was late (about 4:00 pm) and the installer said he would check with Lowe's to get the rest of the fencing. I called Lowe's and they said they had the additional fence in stock and they would call the installer and arrange a time to complete the installation. 11/13/2015: Called Lowe's of Asheboro to find out what the delay was. Was told by Michael he was sure laborers would be here as soon a can. 12/18/2015: Called Lowe's main office: Was told they could not find the additional fence. Bo w/Lowe's said the shipment may be lost, will look for and call back. 01/06/2016: Lowe's main office (Bo) shows 20' left of fence has been delivered. I explained to him I did not have any more fencing and no deliveries had been made. He put me on hold while he checked with Lowe's Asheboro. Lowe's found a box in receiving with my name on it. He also checked with the installer and salesman. He was going to have the box checked and make sure the rest of the fencing was there. No one called me back that day. 01/13/21016: Bo called to let me know 1 Box in receiving was part of the fence and the rest would have to be placed on order Material should be in next week by Jan 22, 2016. 01/20/2016 Lowe of Asheboro delivered another box. They show the shipment is complete. 02/01/2016: Lowe's main office: Bo not in but they called installer today about 1:30. 02/16/2016: Lowe's main office: Not heard anything from installer. 02/17/2016: Left message for Bo to give me a call. 02/18/2016: Lowe's main office: Per Bo "has called installer will contact me for an appointment. Maybe next week. 03/07/16: Lowe's main office: Per Bo will contact installer and get this thing installed. 03/14/16: Lowe's Main office: I requested the following: 1. Remove the 40' of vinyl fencing and take the additional box (of fencing) back to Lowe's for full refund. 2. Pick up the 8 bags of 80 lb concrete mix and get it out of my drive way (the concrete had gotten wet and to heavy for me to move). This was the 2nd request. 3. Pick up excess stockade fence and get rid of it. 4. Pick up any excess material left by this install. Lowe's told me they would remove the fence but I would not get any of my money back. I mentioned getting a lawyer and they said they could no longer talk to me. After expressing my frustration with Lowe's of Asheboro the guy on the other end of the phone said he would talk to a supervIsor about the situation. I also had the property surveyed so I could show Lowe's of Asheboro where the property line was at. They took it among themselves to move the fence toward the driveway by a foot. I only had 2 feet from the driveway to the fence to begin with. So now I have 1' from the fence to the edge of the driveway. Lowe's said they always do this and if I had read the contract I would know. That's true, I did not read the contract because I trusted Lowe's. Taught myself a lesson. 03/17/2016: Lowe's of Asheboro had the installer come out and finish the fence. Someone else came and picked up the 2x4's, 4x4's, excess concrete. One final note, the installer informed me two shields that go on top of the vinyl fence were missing. He went to Lowe's and was told Lowe's of Asheboro would have to order them. I have not heard anything from them as of this date (04/13/2016). As frustrating and agonizing this has been I must say Lowe's did it their way
