I can tell you who I don't use or will never use for again. They do a deal where they do the special rates. Those boys came in here to clean a couple rooms and told me the reason it looked dirty when they left was because it was warn out and real old. I went a rented a carpet cleaner and got all the stains out. I would't call them and give them the time of the day. It was their advertisement so I called them. They were all over the room they did the stairs. Where the traffic carpet was it still looked dirty when they got done going out. They gave me the stuff and I just let t hem go out the door. I dealt with and know a guy who put in carpet before and I know a little bit about carpet but I just didn't want them in the house. I just let them go on out and sent them on their way. When I got done it was all clean. I got the dirt out. I rented a cleaner brought it in here. I haven't used anybody since I just do it myself. They responded. They didn't show up on time. They were at least nice. I see the ads and yea. There maybe some of them that do good, but I am not going through that again.

Stanley Steemer arrived at our inn. A young gentleman, Trevor, accompanied my husband upstairs to view the staircase. Note I said view. He viewed the stain, never touched the carpet at all and announced to my husband, I have bad news. This won't come out. It looks like ink. My husband tried to explain to the fellow that he did not believe it was ink as it was found on the bottom of our guests shoe. He made no further comment and left the house to confer with the other worker, who never even entered the house to look at the staining, and returned with his contemporary's corroborative diagnosis on a stain he'd never even viewed that it was in fact ink. We were completely stunned. No further evaluation, no tactile experimentation with the stain. It was completely apparent to us that this company did not want this job. We called Stanley Steemer to find out if this was their typical response to stained carpeting. In view of the fact that their job is a result of people needing their dirty carpets cleaned, it seemed completely out of the realm of reason that it was. We were routed a man in Charlotte. He stated that he was the owner of this company and would be in touch with the Asheville district manager. Thus far we have heard not one word from this person. Clearly, we still had the problem, a house full of guests none of which would have been a bit delighted to have seen the stained staircase. Frankly, I wouldn't blame them one bit. We went immediately to Angie's list and blessedly, delightfully found Five Step Carpet Care LLC. Amazingly enough, the young man representing this company arrived at the inn, thoroughly evaluated our stains, promptly removed them at a more than fair price (Please see review written for this company if you require carpet cleaning) and was back in his vehicle headed home within a very short time. So, not only were the stains removed. They were removed without fanfare and very, very easily. Not over 10 min from his arrival time. I wish I could tell you something logical regarding the behavior of Stanley Steemer Company but I don't have any idea what was going on save to say it was patently obvious that Stanley Steemer had no interest whatsoever in cleaning the carpet. Frankly, had this happened in a home application it would have been irritating but in a business application, it was a situation in which I do not intent to find myself again. We value our guests and deliver our best to them. Stanley Steemer took customers of nearly 40 years and handed them on a platter to another company. Doesn't' seem like a great business model to me. I will not be calling this company again.

I have used them a couple of times and I have been pleased with them. The scheduling was good. They got the job done in a couple of hours.

Not good. They are supposed to move small things. They just cleaned around them. The floors were still soaking wet after 24 hours. We had to open all windows and run fans to dry the basement. They emptied the dirt on the drive way. And, we are pretty sure they damaged our stairs with the equipment. All the way around… poor experience. We will not call them again.

It was terrible. I called them a week and a half ago and they never came to my door but instead lied and said that they had knocked and no one was home. I waited a week and half to get them back here and one of them comes up and says they can't do it at all because I'm on the 3rd floor. They would not even try to do it. The one who came said the one in the truck told him to come and tell me they couldn't do it. And, that was after waiting all day for them to get here. They came 30 minutes before they quit for the day just to tell me they could not do it instead of suggesting I call another business with a portable. So, they lied and wasted 1 1/2 weeks of my time and left me hanging all day waiting for them when I could've called someone else. I have used Stanley Steamer everywhere I have ever lived, but will never use them again!

They came on time, did their job, and then they left.

My overall experience with them has been good. They come when they say their going to come and they get the job done within a hour. I will continue to use their services in the future.

I have used them for years, so I keep having them back. They are thorough and do a good job. The guys are always anxious to help out, and if I have anything extra to do, they will do that for me too. The last time around, they charged whatever their going rate was at that time. They usually have some kind of a special going. I really don't have anything to compare them to, but I think they are good. Their pricing is reasonable. Their quality of work and punctuality are good. I have had all my carpeting taken out and have hardwood flooring instead, so I don't need them now, but I would use them in the future if necessary.

They are good. They are reliable and do a good job. They charged $99. I think there was a special for three rooms or something like that. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job and the people were very friendly.
