Great service

A walk-through of my yard (which was quite soon after my initial inquiry) was done by a very professional and pleasant young man. He told me he would get back with me that afternoon (May 5) with an estimate. He never called. I contacted the company the following week, asking for the promised estimate. I have yet to hear from them. I have hired someone else.

At first the work went ok. They came out right away to meet with me and to draw up a plan. After I signed the contract, things slowed down a bit, but eventually the first year's worth of work was done and it looked great. Unfortunately, a number of shrubs did not survive the winter and the trees that were removed had not been sufficiently ground down, so they started coming back. Snow Creek promised to replace the shrubs, but never did, although at one point they claimed that the shrubs had been replaced and that I must not have noticed because the new shrubs they decided to put in were deciduous. Oddly, the supposedly new shrubs looked every bit as dead in the summer as in winter, so unless deciduous is another word for dead, they were never replaced. The stumps were also never ground as promised. All in all, I was very disappointed with Snow Creek and would never use them again.

Installation went well, trees looked nice. 2.5 months after installation one of the 6 was dead, needles had begun to fall off. Remaining 5 looked great. Notified Shea, he said no problem they would replace under warranty. Multiple follow ups, he told me replacement had been marked and they would work it in. Still no replacement after 2.5 months and neither Shea nor the owner will return my calls. I’m moving on and having someone else replace. Obviously, they don’t do what they commit to. I never would have expected this from these guys. Do not recommend.

Jimmy came by to do a walk through for an estimate on a few projects for our yard. Seven weeks later, no one has followed up. I have used Snow Creek twice before at a previous residence and was pleased with their work, so this is a major disappointment. If you don't have time to do the work, you at least owe the customer a courtesy call to tell them. I had recommended them to several friends in the past. Again, what a disappointment.

I called last Thursday, picking them over a higher rated provider who said he was busy till April. I counted on them calling back, decided not to look further. They have not called, very common with Asheville contractors. A polite call back is professional, and not a lot to ask for, and to me, shows signs of potential problems if I had used them. Now I won't. I'm too busy to hold peoples hands and call them repeatedly, they need to do it on their own.

They were knowledgeable and they were really good about what they’re doing. I do have problem in scheduling because they are very busy. I keep them because those people that working at my yard can beats anybody I’ve ever had. They come out and do the work.

They removed a good portion of the pea gravel, removed all the weeds (pulled), and covered much of the open area with a thick layer of mulch. Looks good. The high cost was partly for removal of a prior landscaper's effort to beautify the area. Our main concern is keeping the area weed-free, which has proved to be a great challenge. At the moment, we're very happy with their work.

They were not as reliable, they were expensive, and they were not as good as the club uses now. Our interactions with them were not great. They were not punctual, they didn't get there quickly, and we seemed to have miscommunication about everything. The work was not bad, it was just painful to get there.

Came on time, placed mulch per order on certain areas and cleaned up after themselves.

On 9/23/14 I contacted SnowCreek landscaping thru Angie's List and Jimmy Gaston reponded quickly and came out to give us an estimate. We had contacted about 5 different contactors but we were impressed with Jimmy's professionalism and knowledge of what would work for us. Jimmy was able to fit us in their schedule to have the work done on 10/1/14. On Wednesday morning Jimmy and a 3 man crew came out to the house promptly at 8 am ready to start work. Jimmy went over the plan with us then went over everything with the work crew. By 8:30 am work began, grading, digging and installing the edging and under matting for the rock. The crew worked non-stop til 5:00 pm and had majority of the rock placed and the preparation work done plus cleaned up. Thursday morning the same crew came out and finished the soil prep, spread the fertilizers, seed, and staw plus cleaned up again. Jimmy had stopped by before the crew was finished to check with us if we were satisfied - YES we were VERY happy!!! All the crew members were very friendly and worked very h****** both days to make sure they were doing exactly what we wanted!

They're very good. They have efficiency, craft and promptness. I have no issues with them. I would say A to all those categories.

We were very satisfied with their work. They were on time for the appointment, they were professional and their work exceded my expectations. I did not run into any problems.

They did a great job. The stock they installed has held up well, and we look forward to seeing it grow next spring.

The person we dealt with was Shea Carrington. We checked around with several companies and took bids before we did the work. Their quality of work was very good. They came back when we had questions and concerns. They've been very thorough. They were here when they said they were going to be here.

They do good work. I only moved here a year ago, so I didn't have any idea about keeping up the yard. They are excellent.

On October 4 I called Snow Creek Landscaping and described my landscaping problems to the receptionist. She said her two project foremen were busy the next two days, but that she would have someone call me within two days. By October 12 I still had not received a call, so I called back. She told me she didn't know why Steve had not contacted me, but she would give me his number for me to call. Because I did not want to contact him when he might be busy and I thought it was his responsibility to call me, I asked her to please have him call me when it was convenient for him. Steve called a little later that day and explained that he had tried to call me the week before, but no one at that number knew what he was talking about. Apparently he had the wrong number and just dropped the ball. He didn't explain to me whether he spoke to the receptionist again to try to get the correct number. He set up a meeting with me for the next day and he arrived promptly. We discussed my landscaping problems and possible solutions. Because I needed a new retaining wall along my driveway, he said he would need to contact a landscape architect who would call me the next week. Also because I wanted some of the hemlocks cut down before winter since they shaded my driveway and blocked the sun from melting snow, he said he could have his men come some time when they had a little free time and do it. Today is November 10 and I have not received a call from the landscape architect nor a follow up call from Steve to see if things were on course. I expected some sort of follow up from Steve to see how the plans were progressing, but either Snow Creek is too busy, are unorganized or don't care. So far my experience with Snow Creek Landscaping has been horrendous and I would not use them. I have dealt with many companies over the last 34 years I have been in Asheville, and this is the worst service I have ever experienced.

Snow Creek is right across the street from us. They are a high rent type. They service these real expensive neighborhoods, I was hoping they would give us a break because we are across the street but I don't think they did. When we went to pick the trees up it wasn't that far to go. These were big trees, they had to deliver them and had to have a machine to dig the hole and everything. It seems like if it was close it would have been easier and less expensive. Everyone we deal with tacks on extra charges cause the gas is high.
