The process went better than expected mainly do to expertise, including the crew, timeliness, and communication before during and after the installation. Steve listened to expectations and roofing issues then came onsite to examine the roofing and construction. It became obvious that he was an expert in all things about metal roofing which is important I found out researching that many metal roofing installs, including my older metal roof can be installed incorrectly allowing for long term recurring leaks, critter (bats) access and wind damage. Use an expert specializing in metal roofing! Based on my needs and the assessment he provided two options of high quality products with detailed materials and labor the day after he was onsite. Pictures of the progress and issues like water damaged wood were sent as they developed. He communicated his schedule and changes in a timely manner. Overall, Mad Roofer has been the best and most reliable contractor I have worked with in years.

They were great. It was fantastic. They came in and worked quickly. They were efficient. They did it right and did it well. They did what they told me what they were gonna do.

It was very good. They solved the problem. He was good about talking options. He talked about what's wrong and gave us warranty of his work. He was reliable and accurate. He charged me what he's going to charge.

He said he would be here at 1pm on Friday, Feb. 19th to provide us an estimate on some work on our chimney. Not only did he not show, but he never called to reschedule or to explain his lack of showing up. He just totally blew us off, after we stayed home to wait for him. Absolutely no professionalism.

This company is one of the best companies that we have ever worked with for a home improvement project! The owner Steve is very knowledgeable about roofing options and provided us with timely estimates. He also remained on budget, which never happens! They are prompt and organized. They arrived everyday at 7 am to start working on our roof and worked until 5 or 6 pm. They are all very hard workers and they are super neat and conscientious of our home and us. They were able to work around the weather and kept in communication with us at all times. We HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone looking to put on a new roof!

GREAT! The entire team were friendly, professional and non stop workers. My roofing job was complicated, and the attention to detail was ever present. I'm someone who asks a lot of questions and both Steve and Dan were always available to answer them. And "last but not least", the clean up every evening was amazing! Everything wrapped up tight at days end and Mike was meticulous with the magnet picking up nails and shingle debris.

Steve Rulli, the Mad Roofer, responded promptly to my request for estimates on replacing the roofing on a couple of small houses I own, and after discussion and his presenting me with numerous options, I signed up for the work. His crew knocked it out in good time, and I am very happy with the results, especially the metal roof which looks fantastic! It's not the first time I've hired him and it won't be the last. He's also helped me in the past with some smaller projects including chimney repairs (especially pleased with a custom metal chimney cap he made and installed) and a couple of partial re-roof projects.

Steve came out and took some measurements before sending me a few quotes for different options and a timeline. Once we decided what we wanted he was able to get the job done quickly. The new roof is perfect. It looks great and was fairly priced. He answered all of my questions and concerns before he got started. It's the first time I've had such a major repair on my home, and he made it a breeze. He even cleaned my gutters and applied credit towards the replacement for a recent repair he'd performed.

We had a terrible experience with Steve Rulli/The Mad Roofer. After researching online, as well as get a friend recommendation to use Steve to replace our existing shingled roof with a metal roof, we chose to move forward. Steve estimated not only our roof replacement, but replacing existing flashing around our chimney and in areas that were needed. He did an extremely poor job with these items, as well as put our guttering back up completely incorrectly. Now, the water just sits in our gutter and will not drain properly because it wasn't re-installed correctly. We unfortunately paid in full because Steve was insistent on being paid as soon as the job was complete, and it wasn't until our first rain that we noticed things were not functioning properly. We had a general contractor inspect to see what was happening and at that point did he point out all Steve did incorrectly or poorly. We reached out to Steve to come and take a look at our issues, providing him pictures and exact information as to what was happening/wrong. That is when the ugly texts began, very poor and unprofessional language was used, he refused to correct his mistakes, and he refused to communicate with us further. At this point we are having to get someone else to completely re-do these items and pay twice for something that should and could have been done correctly the first time. I have given him 1 star on this review because honestly, the roof he installed looks to be fairly good quality and decent work. However, everything else that went along with the roof was incredibly disappointing. After mentioning to another contractor in general conversation what had happened to us with Steve, he informed us that Steve has a very bad reputation in the area for not being willing to fix his mistakes or do things correctly the first time. I just wish we had learned this information sooner, as we would have chosen someone else to work with. I would definitely never be able to recommend him for any work, but if you do, I would certainly not pay him in full before all work is completed and inspected for accuracy.

Let me preface by saying that I'm sure his business is very busy; however, why does it seem that I've been ignored since I only want a repair at this time which is paramount vs a new roof? Steve was very quick to come out the day after I called (March 5, 2019) to look at my roof as I have a leak in my bedroom ceiling that has been slow growing from staining to actual leak with heavy rain. He said he would e-mail me an estimate. It is now 2 weeks later and I've not yet had any further contact from him. I have since hired a more responsive contractor. My roof was too tall for his ladder but I happened to have a long enough one so he could see the roof. I was already aware that I need a new roof, but not able to do so at this time. I asked if he wanted to come inside to see where the ceiling was leaking but he declined stating that he doesn't take care of the inside. I'm also aware that the actual problem on the roof can be in a different region than exactly over the ceiling leak. I wish I could recommend Steve, but unfortunately I cannot. updated 5/11/2019 Just a follow up to my earlier review this past March. Due to my very honest review in my particular case, this is the response I received via this site from Steve; this is his exact response: “Yeah, we didn't give you a quote because you are rude we didn't want to work for you, we don't owe you anything and we could care less about your rating. It's meaningless against my A rating. your just a whackjob that doesn't deserve my gifts”.

Mad Roofer was the only company who answered my request quickly and made good on their word! Leak was fixed with good attention to the work. I have appreciated working with Steve 2x now on smaller jobs, so he will likely be the first person I call and recommend for larger ones!

Project went well. Steve and his guys did what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. I will hire again.

I needed some cedar shakes replaced on the house I had just purchased because the insurance company wouldn’t cover the roof in the condition it was in I called him and he sent someone to look at it. He gave me an estimate of $1199.00. The estimate said $900.00 for shakes and had other miscellaneous hardware to total $1199. He told me that they would repair it so it would pass the insurance inspection so I told him to go ahead. The guy who came out to look at it was the guy who showed up by hisself to do the repairs. He only showed up with one bundle and had to go to the store to get another bundle. He spent about 3 hours working on the roof and when he was finished he said it would pass... it didn’t. I still had missing shakes. I called him and his answer was “ I will take the 1199 off the cost of a new roof and I will give you an estimate in a day or two” ... he didn’t. As far as I am concerned he stole 1199 from me because I still need my roof fixed.

Great job, He fit us into his schedule because the roof was actively leaking.
