Chris and John were professional and helpful and a joy to communicate with. Gave us tons of information before and after purchase; helpful and friendly when we called for advice. Stored the order until we were ready to install. Suggested best underlayment and installation process, cleaning. When we changed our mind about bamboo throughout the house, happily picked up 1/2 the order and replaced it with cork, even though the cork was less expensive. No question about refunding un-used (unopened) material. Totally wonderful retail experience. We will recommend to all friends
Description of Work: After extensive consultation, sold us strand woven bamboo for nail-down floor on main floor and floating cork for basement on 3000 sq ft house. Installation by our contractor

everything went like clockwork. very professional. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: bought 680 sq. ft. Of laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators and had it installed by their installers, Hernandez Flooring, they did a beautiful job& the floor is perfect. We bought a little too much laminate & Chris at Lumber liquidators was kind enough to refund even though we had taken the plastic covering off the packages. they were really nice to deal with and I highly recommend them.

We ordered carbonized bamboo flooring - MUCH harder than oak. Per the store and installation management instructions, the installation of this particularly hard product would require a higher air pressure and nail gun than we had to do it ourselves (with experience, btw). Turns out the crew that came to install used average equipment, without any higher pressure equipment or techniques - with many chipped boards and pretzelled nails. Their own recommendations for installing this product well were not followed. I am pleased with the improvement to the house, because it was sorely in need. But if I look closely, I am not particularly pleased with the expertise that the installer spoke of but did not provide. Therefore, we have chosen a different approach for the other 1200 sqft. I would buy from Lumber Liquidators again, but I will not deal with them for installation again. We felt purposefully misled.
Description of Work: The in-store help, ordering, delivery were all fine. The recommended installer team and management left much to be desired.

The ordering was easy and the staff helpful and friendly. They weren't always great on returning phone calls, and I got frustrated with the delay on the stair treads, but otherwise no complaints. I paid to have everything delivered - and the flooring itself was delivered, but I ended up picking up the quarter round, T-moulding and stair treads myself as it was faster. I used the Lumber Liquidators contract installers, but probably wouldn't do that again. Since that was a different company, I'll report on that seperately.
Description of Work: I purchased 3 rooms and one long hallway of bamboo flooring with matching stair treads. This included the accroutrements of Threshold moulding, quarter round, etc. One good piece of advice from the estimator - you have to use 1.5 in staples with bamboo becasue it's so hard. If you use the standard 2" staples, it'll dimple. Caution - order your flooring well in advance. It took over a month to get the stair treads in regardless of what they tell you.

It was a horrible experience. It took two attempts to get the job completed. The first time I ordered the job through the Ace representative. I asked him three times if the price he quoted (~$2000) included everything and he kept saying and ldquo;yesand rdquo; Since this was an installation in a home we own, but rent out, I had to make a five hour trip two weeks later for the installation. I called when I got there only to be told that the installers do not order or deliver the lumber and since I had not gone into the store to pick out the lumber, It had not been delivered and I had made the trip for nothing. Obviously the providers and installers were not talking. I had made a deposit on the job however, so they had already cut out a pound of flesh. My wife then went ahead and ordered the lumber to be installed at a later date. This finally got finished after months of trying to coordinate the job via long distance. Call the provider they had not heard from the installer but would call me back. Days go by where they have not called back so you call again, only to be told that they talked to the installer and he was suppose to call me back. This goes on and on for weeks. When the flooring did come in we were told that we needed to go pick it up as that was not the job of the installer. We had to pay someone to deliver the flooring ($100). After the flooring was on site coordinating the actual install did not go any smoother. The installers would seldom return a call or coordinate with the people we had arranged with to meet them at the house. All in all it could only be described as a kabuki dance of major proportions and the only good I can say about it is that it is over,
Description of Work: I thought that we were purchasing flooring from Lumber liquidators and having it installed by Ace flooring of Asheville NC. I was sadly wrong. The two companies seldom talk to each other and spend most of their time pointing at each other when problems arise

The overall price of the product stood out as well as their attentiveness. They have a showroom with a variety of selection of hardwood floor flooring that is laid out like it would be in a home so I could actually see what it would look like in my home. They have a variety of areas with natural sunlight and artificial sunlight so I could get the differences of the hardwood flooring of natural and artificial light. They were attentive to my needs and answered my questions. Some of the order had different mill dates and when that was brought up to them by the installers they rectified the problem and got product with all of the same mill date. That was an issue but they did rectify the problem.
