Description of Work: For the Angie's List cost of $159 (maybe $149), the company was to do a complete electrical sweep of the house plus an hour's worth of work. For us, the latter included putting in an additional outlet and changing a switch. | With the former, there was failure to check for pipes behind the wall, which required drilling two, not one, holes; so there is now the requested outlet with what should have been an unnecessary cover over the hole next to it. | With regard to the switch, instead of a "soft" one as all other ones here have been for thirty+ years, a "hard" one was installed. Why?? | After inspection, Kilowatt said that there are four deficiencies, that such would be identified in an e-mail before the end of the week. That now has been almost three months with nothing provided. Do we or do we not have problems which should be addressed? Evidently another electrician is needed to determine that. | We also asked if there is a system which with one switch could turn on/off all five lamps in a particular room. After investigating, KiloWatt said, yes, that there is and that it would cost $4-500. Clearly that was far too much; so KiloWatt said that it would search for a lower price. Silence since ---- although we have via a friend found a set-up which does the job, a set-up which cost less than $30.00! | KiloWatt probably is well-intentioned, but it is unreliable and fails to deliver. |

Description of Work: Work was done efficiently but paid for driver to look for part around town for an hour, then said they would order part, never did get back to me about the part.

Description of Work: I originally purchased a 'Big Deal' for Whole-House Electrical Inspection due to problems I was having with some outlets not working despite attempts to reset, however my son came home from college and resolved the issues. I called to cancel and Stephanie assisted me with cancelling the appointment and offered to contact Angie's List for a refund. She got back with me to inform me of the steps to take to cancel and obtain the refund. Excellent and friendly service! Will call on them again when needed!
