We hired Carolina Ductmasters to clean our air ducts and dryer vent and were very happy with the service! The technicians were on-time, responsive, and courteous. This was great experience and value. Great company! Highly recommended.

This is a long review because I want people to truly understand why I would NOT recommend Carolina Ductmasters. They don't care about your safety and will not properly inspect your fireplace. You will put your family and investment in danger if you hire them. They are nice on the phone, but they are not willing to hold themselves accountable for their dangerous practices/mistakes. They were recommended from Angi and I hired them in spring 2022 for an in depth inspection due to planned home purchase. I wanted to make sure the fireplace was safe and void of any hazards. I paid $650 for air duct cleaning and fireplace cleaning and inspection. They assured me this is what they do and the inspector will indicate if the fireplace has any issues. The report stated no hazards or issues. I began using the fireplace in winter 2023. I burned about 1/4 of half a cord of hardwood during that time and noticed smoke stains developing at the ceiling seam from behind the fireplace wall... Indicating an issue. After months (Feb-June 2024) of trying to get a resolve from their manager Robert and GM Marshall Adams on why this issue wasn't caught or mentioned for my initial safety inspection, I was basically brushed off. They were no shows for scheduled investigations and then tried coming to my home unscheduled on a Saturday. I was forced to send them away because I was leaving and they didn't schedule a date/time. To date the GM tells me they are all booked up and I would have to wait until they are free. But yet they seemed to have open schedules whenever they wanted me to pay for a yearly inspection. I had to hire a different company to inspect my fireplace and they immediately found the safety hazard, showed me, and told me the fireplace is not safe and I'm lucky my house didn't catch fire. If you value your lives, choose a different company to properly inspect your fireplace. Carolina Ductmasters essentially is costing me thousands of dollars to replace this hazardous fireplace.

These folks are the BEST!! I got prompt service and Dwight and Cody were terrific. They were professional and helpful and answered all my questions.They did a great job at a fair price.

I used Carolina Ductmasters 3 years ago and had a good experience. This time, however, was much different. The two guys were at my house for 50 minutes total. That is from the time they stepped out of the van until they were pulling out of the driveway. I have the Ring doorbell videos to corroborate. My house is 3100 SF. When I got home from work, I checked just (4) of the ducts and one of the ones that I checked is shown in the attached photo after it was supposedly cleaned. At this point, I stopped looking so that I could have them come back and fix the issue. I called to let them know that some of the ducts were not cleaned properly and the lady who answered was very nice and apologetic and scheduled them to come back. They did not clean any of the diffusers. My wife took them all off and cleaned them herself. When they came back, they were literally at my house for 7 minutes total. Again, 3100 SF and all he did was stick his arm down in the one duct that my wife showed him as far as he could reach and wiped it out. Nothing more. They didn't even bother vacuuming it out again. I took the cover off of the unit and there was mold all over inside, but they had said it was clean, so I just cleaned it myself. I really feel like they did a good job 3 years ago and I even recommended them to someone else. I do not recommend these guys at all anymore. I think they were behind on their schedule and tried to catch up on my house. When they came back out, they seemed mad that I had called them back, so they didn't bother checking behind all of the vents, only the one that was still literally black right inside the top portion of the duct. The picture attached is not after scrubbing. I literally just took a wet towel and touched it to the duct and it came out black.

I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give them negative stars. I had them over this morning to clean our chimney, wood stove, and fireplace. Destiny was the person that came. She brought a helper who did not work for the company. I was working in my home office while they did the job. I paid $375 and gave them a $25 tip. BIG MISTAKE. After they left I went to look at the fireplace. They had broken the glass door insert. They also scarred the wood floor in front of the wood stove when they moved it. I looked around more and saw that soot had covered every surface in the house. We can't sit in anywhere in our house, our white dogs are black, we don't know what to do. We are going to have to call After Disaster because we can not clean it up and we can't live here right now. I called the office to report it and spoke to Tammy. She said the manager was out and would call me back. I've not heard from him. I called back and asked Tammy to call the manger's cell to alert him. She said she would and I still have not heard. She must have called Destiny because Destiny called me and asked if there were issues. I said "dam right!". She started yelling at me about using a cuss word, then proceeded to cuss me out and hung up on me. We truly do not know what to do. Hopefully our lawyer will because we just left a message on his phone. I left all the pictures Yelp would let me. I don't usually leave bad reviews, if they would have contacted me I would have let them make it right!

I didn't get any dirt in my home..The air little bit cleaner as well. The service is great and they were prompt and nice.

We had a house fire and wanted to have the ducts cleaned before replacing the HVAC system I was assured that they could clean and sanitize the duct work when they were finished I could still sweep out piles of sand and grit there was loose screws and other debris I asked for the supervisor to come out to check out the job instead he refused to come out and see for himself telling me he was going to take me to court I sent him pictures of the job then he said he was going to write it off as a"customer that couldn't be satisfied" I will be happy to provide pics and video of the job if anyone is interested but for$365 I was expecting to have better results than what I could do with a brush and shopvac

The vent was cleaned and now the dryer works properly. The price was extremely fair, as Aurora Pro wanted to charge me $950.00 to do this service.

came and repaired....leak continued ... called 3 times before they would send someone out. Said that he did not guarantee their work. Finally got someone out to "fix" the same problem and wanted me to pay for the call, when I refused the owner advised that they would never come back out. And the leak is worse and the chimney looks terrible...never use this company!

Quick call back from quote requested from Angie's List. Appointment made within 3 days. Tech Pete and Austin arrived on time with professional vehicle and equipment and were obviously skilled and knowledgeable, courteous and well, just nice. They assessed situation and determined that cleaning from inside would work well and although a significant amount of soot and debris came down from the cleaning process, there was essentially no mess to clean up other than a vacuuming around the hearth as they were very careful to keep the debris within the firebox. Provided clear and complete report of condition of chimney and the maintenance performed. All accomplished within a very reasonable time for a reasonable price. Very pleased. Would recommend and hire again.

She and her assistant were fantastic! She knew exactly what to do and did it in two hours. They both worked extremely hard and did excellent work. I was so happy and as a token of my appreciation, I gave them each a $10 tip!

Professional service. I scheduled an appointment with a window of 4 pm - 6 pm. They called the day at 10 am and asked if they could come early because they were in the area. They were fast, professional and did a good job. I only gave them a B because it was $150 and they were here a total of 20 minutes from start to finish so I think the price is a bit steep. And this was on a house that was 15 years old and probably never had the dryer vent cleaned to my knowledge. I can tell a difference and the vent flow indicator on my dryer has finally turned off and my drying times are much shorter now.

PROMPT, THOROUGH, AND INRETROSPECT MUCH NEEDED

They were prompt and professional except the young man's driving skills weren't up to my driveway's demands and he didn't listen well to my advice about how to get parked near the lower entrance without tearing up my lawn. He left a bit of a mess and the company was informed but never called back.

Perfectly! They called to keep me informed of their arrival time. The work was done efficiently.

Had another inspector come in the same day as I was looking for quotes on any work to be done before converting to gas logs. He ended up cleaning the whole fireplace again, it was full of dirt as soon as he opened the flue. I did contact Ductmasters about this and sent them a picture of the dirt. They immediately refunded the money I had paid them. In that regard I was very impressed.

I needed two things done 1) install chimney cap and 2) clean inspect chimney. This was my service order. Company told me they could complete both. I would not have hired company had I known they could not install chimney cap. They came out and completed the cleaning/inspection. HOWEVER, company did not do the cap installation- no It did not charge me for that but its stated reason for not being to do the job was inadequate- it lacks a talk enough ladder. This is a house chimney not an industrial smokestack! Don’t tell customers you can put chimney caps on if you cannot or at least warn customers that your services are limited - I would not have given them the cleaning work had I known they could not deliver on the chimney cap request. The tech told me someone would come out next day to try to install cap but no one came. I called twice since then but have not heard from company

They were courteous and responsive to my needs and concerns. I would recommend them to others needing this work done.
