It was okay! It was fine, it wasn?t anything that I was overly impressed, but they didn?t do a bad job either. It cost me more than what the deal was, that is part of why I was surprised. I didn?t think their rates would be that high. It cost me almost $100 more. They got the job done. It was just okay. They didn?t have to bring anything. I mean, I had the switch and everything for them, all they had to do was switch it out. But, it took them a while, because they needed to make sure that it worked. I think they were pretty good about responsiveness.

They had a cancellation and called to see if they could come early. They took care of the problems quickly.

Great! The cost was right for the job. The office called to narrow the window of arrival. The electrician then called to let us know when to expect him and he arrived on time. I would hire Buckingham Electric again.

To start on a positive note, talking to Kayla, the person who does the scheduling and is the contact when you call their line, if rating her I would give an "A" rating across the board. She was exceptionally nice and not the norm for customer service these days, which was really refreshing. I scheduled an estimate about a week or two before I scheduled them to come to install the outlet. Derek, the owners son, and another guy came in and had shoes to wear in the house which was really appreciated. They were efficient and didn't waste a lot of time going over the things I wanted an estimate for in the house. This was the end of the positives but I did want to point them out, at least. I could list lots of details of the not so great parts of the estimate experience, but the main problem is simply that I scheduled them to come out to install an outlet for our TV. I was scheduled from 12-4 and at 3:30 I called Kayla (who was, again, very nice) because I hadn't heard a word from them. Stayed home all afternoon all to hear Kayla tell me Derek was stuck at a job and it was going to be another hour and a half.... but that we could RESCHEDULE??? He never called me to say he would be later or that he wouldn't be able to make it. Never offered to come after. Never apologized. They could have come the next week (with 4 hour intervals again and the MORNING time between "10-2") but I decided if my time wasn't important to them or my business then I could find plenty of other qualified people to do the same install. Thankfully I found someone else after one other call and it was going to be $70 less than their quoted price. I read their replies to other negative reviews that they are "so busy" and "sorry" but as a business owner myself I don't agree with this way of doing business. Would definitely not refer them.

The phone was picked up promptly by Kayla, who was very helpful, and able to schedule the service in only a few days. When Derek and Nick arrived, Derek carefully explained what work would be involved, and exactly how much everything would cost. We decided to have the work done, and it was done exactly as explained. These guys were very professional and respectful of our home, putting on overshoes when coming inside. They did a great job, and we will surely use them again and recommend them to our friends.

Derek and Nick arrived early. Very professional and courteous. Spent over a half-hour just troubleshooting our rv electrical. Because they did not install our tank heaters (we needed additional equipment) they did not even charge us for the visit. Provided me with a cost-effective solution. Exceptional guys and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Buckingham electric was very knowledgeable about recessed lighting - using the best design and the best size cans to make the kitchen and dining room bright! I had 3 different companies come in and look at the area. Buckingham Electric suggested that 6 inch cans be placed in the kitchen over the countertops, where the other companies suggested different placement and smaller cans. I am so thankful that I called this company, as I now have a beautiful, bright kitchen and dining room - lots of light, as I wanted.... with the most effective placement for each of the cans! They also chose bright lumen cans, a detail that made a huge difference. They squeezed me in quickly, and had the work done in one day. Love the lighting! Will definitely call them again. Derek and Nick did a great job. They were suppose to come at 10 am but they finished their earlier job so called and asked if they could come early. They went to work quickly and communicated well with me about what I wanted. We even talked about another job that I will need done when the cabinets are put in. Great work!!

They have excellent communication, show up on time, and have a great work ethic. This was a quality installation done to the latest code. Easily passed inspection for the City of Asheville. The work is nice and neat and they respected the home and cleaned up afterwards. My home feels much safer now. They are coming back to do additional work on my electric wish list.

It didnt. The quote on the work was absolutely, totally, completely, ludicrous. For what I considered an eight hour job, the quote was more than $400 an hour.

The first job (track lightning in the living room) was great. Two men arrived on time and finished the work in the estimated time. AND they cleaned up before leaving. I was so pleased I called them back for a second job (light above shower) and had the same GREAT service. I highly recommend.

Mike, did an excellent job. One company had wanted to charge me $626 to run a new wire and install their thermostat to my existing heat pump. I knew there had to be a better way. I figured out how to get a wire through my home from heat pump to thermostat, bought a good thermostat from Lowes and then Mike came out and connected the thermostat to the wiring and the wiring to the heat pump. It went perfectly. But , more important, I appreciated Mike's ethical values and willingness to work with me and also appreciated his expertise. He also educated me on heat pumps, things to watch out for, etc. This company takes the high road and walks the walk. I would trust them with other work needed on my heat pump. Highly recommend.

They did a great job... Efficient, professional and pleasant.

Two electricians arrived right on time and proceeded to remove the candelabra and replace it with the electrical fixture. They were careful to assure that none of the glass in the chandelier was damaged. Then they installed the Carbon Monoxide detector, explaining to us that it needed to be closer to the floor, something we didn't know, but which is really important. After completing their work they cleaned up the area, and applied a coupon to our bill for service.. We will certainly call them again for future electrical work.

The entire experience was easy, smooth and professional. The electrician called prior to his arrival and arrive on time. After speaking with my husband for a few minutes, set to work and had taken care of three small jobs and quoted on a fourth larger job in under an hour. We haven't decided on the larger job at this time, it has nothing to do with service, but if we do the job, we have some style options we want to review. We will call Buckingham Electric to do the job, once we make some sort of decision.
