Description of Work: We were very happy with this company's services, however, when we called them again to schedule another appointment for a different issue, they never call us back.

Description of Work: Buckingham Electric replaced a Bathroom Exhaust Fan. Previously, a Handy-Man recommended by Home Depot (where I purchased the fan) had tried to install it, but bungled it up. Buckingham had no problems with finishing it up in a professional manner.

Description of Work: I called them to repair in intermittent switch malfunction which I told them I thought was related to a short located in my attic. They replaced 3 switches on the morning of their first visit. The problem persisted and I called them back, again noting that I thought the problem was a short in the attic. They spent most of the second visit tracking down and repairing the short (in the attic). They did not give me any credit on my bill for the wasted first trip. I had to call them back for a 3rd visit because on their 2nd visit they had disconnected a junction in the attic which fed a ceiling fixture which now didn't work. They charged me for the 3rd visit as well.

Description of Work: Motivated and punctual...two adjectives that most closely describe the guys at Buckingham Electric. I've been looking for a reliable, cost efficient electrician in Asheville since I moved here in 1991. I have finally found them. Great jobs guys.

Description of Work: The work was done well, but clean-up wasn't the best. They didn't use drop cloths while drilling for and hanging ceiling fans. Otherwise, good job, pleasant workers, prompt service.

Description of Work: Replaced two ceiling lights and fine tuned and installed a remote on a ceiling fan. I had purchased the Angies list deal $25 for $50. He contacted me the next day to schedule an appt. They called prior to time to let me know they would be on their way and arrived promptly. Finished within an hour, were friendly, efficient. This was a very pleasant experience and will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Buckingham Electric did some minor electrical work for me. For what they did, it took quite a bit of time and I question the quality of the parts they used. They charged $99.00 an hour (I think), which I thought was very high; however, I have limited experience about these costs. In general, I was satisfied with the work and found them to be nice, professional electricians.

Description of Work: They didn't do much of anything. Problem had been fixed by the |time they had arrived. He was here less than 5 minutes. And, I had |paid $95.00 up front for two hours of electrical service. |I was not home at the time, my partner was. So, I tried calling them |that same day, leaving a message that maybe I could reserve the remainder |of the time for future services. Could not get anyone to call me back. |So, I just lost my $95.00. I would not use this company again, nor recommend them to anyone else because of extremely poor customer service. |

Description of Work: Analyzed and repaired 3 malfunctioning outlets on my deck - determined that one of them had a bad connection (animals chewed through the romex maybe?), disconnected it, got the other two working.

Description of Work: I needed an additional outlet installed for an electric heater, and they did the job efficiently in record time. There was a question regarding whether or not the wiring could handle the extra load, but after accessing the problem, what I had was adequate. I wish I had something else for them to look at because they were "here and gone". There was a No complaints on this simple job. |
