I had originally contacted other electricians, would never get a return call, I contacted Buckingham Electric (found them here on Angie's List) talked with office staff initially, within 30 minutes had return call from contractor and schedule appointment to come out the following week. They installed wiring for our hot tub from the breaker box next to the tub to the main house breaker box. Two gentlemen showed up and got the job done in a matter of hours. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I was unaware that a pigtail was to be added to the breaker box next to the pool. I was contacted by the store we purchased the tub from indicating they could deliver the next day and wanted to confirm a pigtail was at the box for the hot tub to be wired into. I panicked and contacted Buckingham Electric asking if they could come back out from Asheville to Flat Rock to install the pigtail. He told me they were booked the next day, I asked if there was any way he could come out right away, he said he would have to charge me for the trip out and back, but would make time to come out. Within 2 hours of my call, Buckingham Electric was there installed the pigtail and we were ready for the delivery of our hot tub the next day. Buckingham Electric will be our electrical company for all our needs.

I was very impressed. The two guys worked non stop for the entire hour and seemed to be willing to try and do as much as possible during that time. They were very professional. They added an outlet in my basement from an existing light, helped fix ceiling fan, told me how to fix second light in basement and installed a light underneath deck. The cost was $75 plus $21 in material costs.

They were quick and efficient. They were mindful of the time and worked diligently to get the job done so that I would not have to pay into the next hour which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs electrical work.

It was easy to contact Derek to set up the appointment, and he was able to schedule the work very quickly. Fast, courteous, professional. This was a small job to add an outlet on a new circuit in my garage. Derek came for a quotation, scoped out the job, and discussed various options for accomplishing my objective. We settled on the simplest approach, and he was able to perform the job right away in about 45 minutes. That included time for him to thoroughly clean up his job site and make right the space. I will definitely use Buckingham Electric again.

John Buckingham has integrity. Super nice guy. Crew members wonderful to work with. John went well out of his way to make sure job was done well. Family run business. John is serious about making sure his business reputation is beyond reproach. I would hire John in the future with no hesitation.

I purchased an Angie's list deal for Buckinghams. I have been renovating and at the time of purchase was unsure when I would be ready for their help. When I called a month later they were super nice and scheduled me in a timely way. I had been concerned they might make a "deal" customer a lower priority. They set a time, called to confirm and miracle of miracles arrived on time prepared to work! Dereck and his partner were courteous, knowledgable and happy to tackle my various projects. They installed fans, fixtures and changed out switches. A few had some issues which they quickly identified and fixed. I was needing more than my deal purchase would accommodate and had them stay on to finish. Their rate was fair and their attitude was great. Truly a good experience all around. I have other projects and will be calling Dereck again very soon.

.It went perfectly well. Dennis called me around 9;30 AM and arrived with his assistant at approximately ten. They took about two hours to do the repairs. They were polite, knowledgeable and kept me on board for all of my options. They cleaned up the areas when they were finished.

This is the second time I've used Buckingham Electric and I was very pleased both times. The first time Derek made the time in his schedule to wire a hot water heater while the plumber was here. This time he replaced a faulty wall switch and installed a bedroom ceiling fan. These guys were spot on time, the quality of the work was great and they were very professional. They're the ones I'll call in the future for any electrical needs both at home and at my business. I would highly recommend them.

Have only good things to say about Derek and Howie. When a problem arose with the fan installation, they were able to customize a solution. They work efficiently with no wasted time, always aware of the cost to the customer. I have used them before and have another project in mind for them.

I was so impressed with their work! I had purchased a work order for 2 hours of work for $79 from Angie's List. Since I had 2 jobs to possibly do, they sent 2 men to work for 1 hour each. One went to work on the bathroom and fixed the problem easily, as it seems it was just a loose plug. He then came down to help with the ceiling fan/light issue. They removed the fixture, checked the wires, and determined that the problem was in the fan motor and not the wiring in the house. They even cleaned all the dust off of the fan for me! I was going to clean it while they had it down from the ceiling, but he took the rag and duster and began to clean it before I could, which I thought was rather nice of him! They were here just short of an hour and I was pleased with their work!

Derek and his assistant arrived on time and went right to work. They informed us up front that there would be an additional charge if the Angies List time frame was not enough time which it was not in part due to one of the outside fixtures having cracked glass and had to be replaced. Also one of the light switches was not the right kind. The work was well done and they even recommended using silicone caulk around five of the fixtures because they found bee nests in all of the bases. If the bees were getting in, then rain was also getting in. We would not hesitate using them in the future.

I bought a $79.00 coupon for 2 guys for 1 hour. I got an email telling me to contact Derek. I called and contacted Derek and he agreed to come the next day. He showed up on time after call ahead to let me know of his arrival. He and an assistant worked to install a ceiling fan and troubleshoot a wall sconce not lighting up. They were done within 1 hour. Once the left I realized that the remote for the fan/light was on the same frequency as the indoor light/fan. I called Derek back the next day and he came over that afternoon to change the dip switch settings. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and fast. Good price for good work. I'll call them again for future work.
