 + -1 moreMr. Hutson responded to my call the same day, came to my house for an estimate the next day. Was clean, well- dressed, organized, and gave estimate immediately. Explained all charges. Arrived at my house on-time and got started immediately. Handled changes to requested work easily. Accomplished all tasks in a very organized, thought-out manner. Cost to me was as estimated. I could not be more satisfied. I will certainly hire him again.
Description of Work: Installed 10+ outdoor plugs on two new circuits, updated/replaced four existing old plugs, installed three new indoor plugs

 + 3 moreWe found that Mr. Hutson communicates well, is honest and conscientious, considerate, and is on time--or calls when he must be detained even briefly. He is quite knowledgeable about most work presented to him, but does not hesitate to recommend someone else if he feels that person might have greater expertise at a particular task. We appreciate that candor as refreshingly honest and realistic. We found his work to be very patient, methodical, and thorough and felt that he gave us more value in his careful assessment of our entire system than we expected. He is a genuinely helpful and personable individual, but is always professional and trustworthy. We will feel completely comfortable in having his professional assistance again in the future.
Description of Work: Mr. Hutson ably assisted us with a variety of electrical repairs in both our home and a nearby shed/art studio on our property. He replaced a burnt basement receptacle, repaired sockets in a mirrored bathroom light fixture and one in a recessed ceiling canister, checked two ceiling fans to determine various problems in each and even spoke to the fan manufacturer to back up a claim for repair under warranty. He could easily have just insisted that the fan be replaced without checking the options. He checked to see that a programmable thermostat was properly wired and was able to patiently, tactfully, and clearly educate the homeowner on its proper method of programming once he determined that the equipment should be operating correctly. In addition, two motion sensors were replaced with similar types of equipment although this meant a separate trip for Mr. Hutson who might easily have tried to press us to accept replacement with the one-piece equipment he usually had on hand. In addition to these repairs, he very thoroughly inspected electric panels and all wiring, connections, and appliances in both the house and the shed/studio trying to determine the basic source of instances of voltage dimming observed by the homeowners. He plans to return at no additional expense to reinstall the ceiling fan once the manufacturer has either repaired the motor or replaced the fan.
