Our first meeting was very thorough. A thermal imaging camera was used to see where we were loosing heat and why. First the outside of the house was inspected, then the crawlspace. When the inside of the house was inspected, it was explained that we were loosing heat through our doors and windows and were shown exactly where the loss was coming from with the thermal camera. The recommendation was to weatherstrip all exterior doors and caulk all the windows. In addition, Triangle Reconstruction recommended that we consider encapsulating the crawl space, explaining that our air quality would be better because some of the air coming into the house is coming from the crawl space. An additional bonus would be warmer floors in the winter. I was given the estimate and that was it. NO PRESSURE! We made a followup appointment to have the windows and doors sealed. Triangle Reconstruction arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner, and what a great job they did! The temperature difference was noticeable almost instantly. The crawlspace encapsulation was a little on the high side although not expensive for what they are doing. I've had other estimates that were higher and the quality of the material wasn't as good. I will definitely be calling Triangle Reconstruction for the crawlspace encapsulation when I'm able to fit it into the budget. I can't say enough good things about Triangle Reconstruction. I will be recommending them to my friends and neighbors!
Description of Work: I purchased two services from Triangle Reconstruction. the first was thermal imaging and the other was an energy evaluation including weatherproofing of exterior doors and windows.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I crawled underneath the house a couple of weeks after they finished and it looked like they did a perfect job. They came at the time we agreed upon and did a good job. I paid additional because I had more square footage than the big deal covered. The price was reasonable and I was happy. I would recommend them. I didn't cover their prices.

The job and pre-evaluation went real well. Rob came out and checked everything out and gave me some real common sense options as to my moisture problems in my crawlspace. I am under a budget and had to do what I could at the cost I could and Rob'd big deal worked out real well. I was able to add some more sq footage at a nominal cost. My worst area is now completely covered and the smell of Mold has disappeared night and day difference. Rob is a professional and very reasonable to deal with, I felt completely at ease calling him and going over things with him. I would definitely hire again!

Triangle Reconstruction is a first class company. Rob came out a couple of months ago to diagnose the source of water in our crawl space. His initial recommendation was a new vapor barrier and a dehumidifier. He wasn't positive it would completely solve the problem, but we thought it would be a less expensive and less nvasive step. This most recent rainstorm resulted in water pooling in the crawl space. He came out again to evaluate and will be putting in a French drain and sump pump. Because his initial solution didn't work, he is absorbing the cost of the sump pump and the additional length of drain that he didn't include in his original quote. Rob is very professional and easy to work with. He is prompt, courteous, reliable and he stands behind his work. I can very highly recommend Triangle to anyone who needs this service.

Rob & Eli went over the plans for the Mold Remediation and Crawlspace Encapsulation, answering all my questions. Throughout the projects Rob & Eli kept me appraised of the progress, as well as giving me both email and cell phone numbers (which were promptly responded to).. These gentlemen instilled a level of trust and desire to do quality work. I am satisfied with how these projects turned out and would recommend this service to anyone.

Purchased the Angie's List deal for $149 for 500 sq ft of crawlspace underlayment plus the additional sq ft. Eli inspected the crawlspace & discussed the work that would be performed w/ photos. Work was performed quickly & cleaned/removed all trash. Robert & Eli definitely stand by NO pressure sales & willing to work around your schedule. Very happy w/ the results.

It was fine. We had to coordinate their schedule with the Orkin people. I ended up actually having more than just the radiant barrier replace and I don’t remember the exact cost. They worked well with me. I ended up needing to replace the insulation but I wanted the Orkin people to do the wood treatment.

The first appointment didn't happen as scheduled due to a delay with the customer before me. We rescheduled, as I could not wait longer that day due to previous commitments. Because of inconvenience caused to me, Robert, my contact at the company, said that when they came to the house, they would caulk all my windows, not jut the limit of 15 as on the purchase agreement. The workmen arrived right on time on the rescheduled day (and even built in some flexibility, i.e., arriving just a little later than scheduled, per my email request the night before, because I found I had to keep another, unexpected, appointment that same morning just before they were due to arrive). Their flexibility gave me time to get home and be ready for their arrival. The workers who came to the house were nice, friendly, literate, easy to talk to, very attentive to detail, quite aware of my cats (i.e., leaving no open doors unguarded, etc.), and were very unobtrusive in their work. I carried on at my desk and let them move through the house as needed. I didn't feel inclined to observe, direct or hold any hands. They were quick, so the job was done before I knew it. In this review, I gave the company all A's but was tempted to give them a "B" on price -- but, if I did, it would be as much about me as them. I thought, with my house being older, more would be needed and that it would be well worth the $199 deal price. As it turns out, my house was fairly snug, and very little had to be done. Having no previous experience with this type service to compare to, I am left to wonder if the $199 price was a little steep--or conversely, completely fair--for what I actually ended up getting done, especially since it took so little time. On the other hand, neither the company nor I knew in advance just what would be required or what the house would need, so neither of us could predict a price (if I'd gotten a bid first, maybe it would have been less, but maybe not). If they review my case and decide I was overcharged, I have enough faith in their integrity to think they will get back to me. If not, I won't worry about it. They provided good service, were knowledgeable and thorough, did what their deal called for and a little extra (one door seal they switched out just for aesthetic reasons), so I have no real complaint even in this one area. Nor any at all!
Description of Work: Checked all windows and doors for air/heat leakage. Caulked all window and replaced any weatherstripping in four doors and one window.

The work was first scheduled to be done a week or so before the date it was actually done. On that day the owner came by my house to evaluate the work to be done, and to personally let me know that his guys had encountered a larger than average job and would be unable to make it to my house on that day. The owner advised me of current NC state regulations and recommendations on the work being done, and how they had changed over the years. He also described the type of wood under my house, and its susceptibility to moisture problems. We discussed the layout and square footage of the area where the plastic barrier would be laid, and I did some measurements and calculations myself that evening for the area, and he used and billed me based on my own measurements. The work was rescheduled and then done right on time. The worker was very polite, very neat, and very competent as well. Overall, it was a complete pleasure dealing with such a professional and friendly company. I wish all my experiences with service companies would be similar.
Description of Work: The provider laid down a plastic vapor barrier over the entire crawl space.

Mr. Robert Ayscue came to assess the size and cost to perform the encapsulation process on our crawlspace. When the total came to some $12,000.00 overall - down to around $10,000.00 with Angie's List coupons, my husband and I decided that we could not afford to make such an investment at this time. Mr. Ayscue has been a complete professional, punctual, knowledgeable, pleasant and understanding about the fact that my husband and I cannot afford to purchase this Angie's List big deal at this time.

installed moisture barrier in crawl space under house, plus cleaned up. very professional. liked the 'before' pictures taken and shared to illustrate what needed to be done...might have been nice to see 'after' photos, too... took a while to get the appt set up (mostly from my end) and it was a bit unclear what time the guys were expected to show up....perhaps a confirmation email the day prior to the appt would have been good. overall, great work - happy with end result.

All aspects of the job, from the estimate to the completion of the job went well. They were professional, competent, timely and a joy to deal with. We felt that we got a good deal for our money, and extra service and help in addition.

Rob was very responsive to returning my phone calls. He was quick to come out to meet me for the inspection/estimate. He was able to schedule work for the following week. During the inspection to provide estimate, he took photos and reviewed them with me. He was very good at explaining all that was found (crickets, non-toxic mold, moisture, etc.). He gave me a breakdown and options of work to be completed. He did not require any deposit before the work was completed. His team came out on the scheduled day and finished the work in record time. They cleaned-up everything very well (all the debris from the crawl space). Rob took an "after" photo to show me the completed job.

I'm now selling my home and the inspection has come back. I paid Rob for spot treatment of the mold under my home and the inspector has come back and said there's mold. We know. I didn't pay rob to remove the dormant mold, just treat it as my husband and I thought that would be sufficient (for us). We've called him and to me, he's going above and beyond. I need a letter saying he's treated the mold and it's dormant and is no longer an issue. He said he would be glad to do that. Thank you Rob for all your help! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! Keep up the fantastic work!
Description of Work: Rob and his helper came to start the project. They arrived promptly and started work immediately. I had a mold issue that he took care of. I also had a vapor barrier replaced and a dehumidifier installed. He had to install a new outlet for the dehumidifier. They did this with no issues. There was an incident where they had to cut a water pipe (as planned). Rob was unable to seal the pipe back properly and it was leaking. He called a plumber to come take care of the issue properly, so I would have no worries. He kept me informed through out the entire process and was very professional. My husband was out of town throughout this whole process. I feel like Rob took care of everything I needed as if I was a family member. Every time I've called him he answers or returns my call promptly. He's very knowledgeable and I felt as though he was perfectly honest. I felt really comfortable having the work completed by him.

They showed up at the stated time and went over what they planned on doing for the job. When it was completed they rang the doorbell and told me that the job was complete and went over the warranty information. They have a one year warranty and if another contractor comes in and damages the vapor barrier, they will come back and replace that section.
