It was good. They were not able to do the whole thing because they could not access the entire crawl space. They were responsive. They got the job done in about one hour. The workers were all good to deal with.

Everything went great. The owner came out the first day to do an inspection of the crawl space and got measurements for the plastic. A quote was sent and another appointment was scheduled. The installer showed up on time and started working. I checked the job after the installer had left and it was just as advertised. I highly recommend this company for crawl space work. Thank you

They were on time and thorough. There were few issues discovered. My attic does need insulation and they were going to send me an estimate to perform that work, but I never heard any more from them. No estimate was sent, so I will have that work performed by someone else.

Very unprofessional. I usually don't write bad reviews, but when you take time off work to meet someone for an appointment that they never show up, it's really annoying.

It worked out very well. We didn't need a lot of attic insulation but he helped us seal up the insulation and clean up an attic closet. He also checked all of the attic and insulation and installed an insulating attic cover over the attic's pull down steps.

Scheduling miscommunication initially, resulting in no show of service provider. Rescheduled to another date. Crawlspace inspected, recommendations and estimate provided. Decided to first determine the source of water collecting in crawlspace and make repairs, before proceeding with vapor barrier installation, thus, requested a refund of the Big Deal. Will consider contacting this service provider in the future.

Good job. First fellow came out and did the mold treatment. Wow is that knarly. He had the full contam suit on. Scrubbed all the joists with a solution. Took much of a day to apply. Next a day a pair of fellows removed debris, then put down 20-mil layer on ground and around block supports, and a 1.5in insulation board insulation on the walls, and filled in the vents to the outside. Its really pretty down there now. My only knit is that I wish they hand more branding on their vehicles; two different crews and then the original job-quoter fellow; and it would have been nice if they had something with some identification like most of the other vendors we have had out. A couple follow up issues were handled promptly. We really like results and would use them for future work.

Forgot to mention that before he did his inspection I said I thought we might have mold, Eli replied that it couldn't be mold. He said there is no mold in North Carolina!???? Really? There's no mold in NC? Why would mold decide to away from NC? Is the state of North Carolina somehow mold proof? I think he actually might have seen mold and that's why we never heard from him again. I'll find out when I hire someone else to do what's needed.
Description of Work: We purchased a coupon on Angies list for 19.00 for a crawlspace inspection which included 200.00 credit towards any work that was needed . Eli was on time and did a thorough inspection, showed us photos of the crawlspace and told us we needed fungus and moisture removal and how that could be done, although actual cost was never mentioned. We explained we'd like to do the work in phases and he said fine he would email us with the estimates. That was 10 days ago and we haven't heard from him since. At least we know what needs to be done when we call another company to come do the actual work. Very disappointed that there was no follow up as promised and the so-called $200.00 credit is unusable. If a deal looks to good to be true it probably is.

We gave you a quote for mold removal and had you scheduled for the job. It was not until I saw your pending bankruptcy and asked for payment.in advance. That is the point you became upset with us. II think you are dishonest and were up to no good. Anger is the emotion you resort to when you know you are in the wrong.

I purchased the Big Deal for a $99 vapor barrier installation for crawl spaces. The company was very responsive and scheduled an initial review within a few days of the purchase. It did cost more than I was expecting (paid more for additional square footage than was included in the Big Deal) but overall they did a great job.

I wish I had contacted triangle reconstruction to do this service earlier. Rob Ayscue was very professional and went out of his way to work around our schedule to get the work done. Our house is fairly old (built in 1952), and I previously felt like it was well insulated... but the work triangle reconstruction did has made an enormous difference in the interior temperature in our house. Previously, the kitchen in our house stayed pretty hot in the summer time while the rest of the house would be several degrees cooler, but not anymore. Overall, the service they did was great, and triangle reconstruction was very professional. I highly recommend both the service and the provider.

Rob (vendor) was responsive. He inspected the attic (after a slight address foul-up), gave us a reasonable bid for the whole job. We agreed, scheduled the service. He used a subcontractor to do the work, intended to be on site when the sub showed up but arrived a few minutes later; there was some confusion because we didn't know who would be doing the work, but it was quickly straightened out. The work was done quickly and competently. Rob came back a couple of days later to inspect the work with us, insure it was done to our satisfaction, which it was.

We originally posted an A rating for this company. However, we must update this review as we have not had a good experience, after all. We were not crawlspace experts by any means when we hired them to do the work. After the work was complete, we were pleased with the appearance and thought we would be reaping the benefits of moisture control, air quality, bug and rodent control, and utility savings that an encapsulated crawlspace promised. However, months after the encapsulation, we were left with a horrible ammonia odor that resembled cat urine and higher than expected humidity ratings inside our home. After some research, we knew that many people had experienced a similar odor after encapsulation, so we did not think this was the result of faulty installation, but we were concerned about the continued high humidity readings in our home. We contacted them about 1-2 months after the installation to inquire about the smell and the humidity. They told us it should dissipate after a few months and the humidity should gradually drop, so we waited. The smell got worse and the humidity did not drop as we expected. We called them back. When we contacted them, they said they wanted to work with us to resolve this issue and we agreed. They suggested that they come and clean under the crawlspace and install a dehumidifier for a few weeks. We agreed and felt that they could correct this issue; we had no reason to think otherwise. After dehumidifier trial, we called back and said the odor was still prominent and our humidity inside the home was still high when the dehumidifier wasn?t running. They came out and adjusted the dehumidifier. And the offered to do more research about the odor. They felt the odor was a result of a mineral in the soil. They had an experimental solution and wanted us to let them test it out. They only had one or two other people with this same problem. We felt uncomfortable with that and opted for a second opinion. So we contacted Healthy Home Restorations (Dennis C***) to do an inspection of our crawl space to determine the current condition and any issues that could be causing the odor. He concurred that the odor was generated from the soil; however, he identified other issues that contributed to the significant odor inside our home and were the result of an improperly sealed crawlspace. During that inspection, a visual review of the crawlspace revealed incomplete or faulty work and his report said in part that (what follows is from his complete review): - "there was an inadequate or missing effort to identify large or small gaps in the subfloor area of the home and apply a sealant to those gaps. - The piers in the home were wrapped with the floor liner but do not appear to have been sealed to the concrete surface. - There is a foam sealant at the top of the foundation insulation, but everywhere that the vents were sealed, there is a large gap at the foundation vent area and there does not appear to be any sealant attaching and sealing the liner to the foundation walls to prevent air contaminants and humidity from entering the space. - Odor of this sort typically emanates from below the liner is thought to be caused by damp soil un derneath the liner. The odor is entering the home form large unsealed gaps in the home that can be detected in most of the downstairs area. One major gap is from the duct near the HVAC unit. This large gap is a major source for odor in the downstairs coat closet. Gaps of this size and width should be properly sealed with an anti-rodent foam to prevent entry of rodents or odors into the home. - A typical sealed crawlspace insulation will seal gaps in the subfloor but also at the band joist and sill plate, as well as the foundation walls. This is to reduce the likelihood that insects and rodents can enter the space. This crawlspace has a heavy rodent infestation. Due to the large volume of rodents that have infested this space, there is a heavy load of rodent droppings (feces) found in the space, not only on the liner, but the insulation, foundation walls, piers, and the HVAC system. - Proper removal of rodent feces requires vacuuming with a HEPA sealed vacuum to avoid spewing any dry rodent droppings into the air along with mold and other collected insect debris which were still present in the space." Upon reading this report and seeing the photos, we were floored. We had multiple photos, in addition to the detailed report, which we provided to Triangle Reconstruction, and they agreed to make the necessary corrections. They spent approximately 4 hours amending the crawlspace, but it took multiple phone calls, one no-show, and a lot of follow-up to get it scheduled and completed. We had a difficult time contacting them. Once the work was complete, we never received any confirmation that the work was done, so we called to get an update and were told that the crawlspace was vacuumed and all the work was completed. We decided to have Heathy Home Restorations back out for another inspection to verify that everything was corrected; however, upon re-inspection, none of the major issues had been corrected. And what was corrected made the situation worse: new foam had been sprayed on top of existing rodent debris instead of vacuuming to remove the debris. In multiple places, the tape was still improperly applied or was coming loose enough to allow for rodent entry. The insulation under the stairwell was not removed and cleaned, so mold was still present in the crawlspace. And upon second inspection, the damper on the air vent, which circulated air in and around our crawlspace, was improperly installed and was not working at all because it was a spring-loaded damper that relied on gravity to function and it was mounted flat on the top of the furnace, which prevented it from working. We went back to Triangle Reconstruction and asked for compensation for the $875 we spent to correct errors and properly seal the crawlspace. We did not want to give them any more opportunities to correct the crawlspace, because we did not trust them to competently complete the work. The owner stated that happy customers was his top priority and that he would mail a check for compensation, but also had multiple reasons for why the check was not mailed. We did not receive the check and we feel like we have been ripped off.
Description of Work: We had them clean our crawl space of fungal growth and encapsulate our crawl space and then needed them to come back fro additional issues.

You have a rat infestation because of bad housekeeping and a leak to your hot water heater. Rats are nasty. Allergic to chemicals and cats? Really. This is filled with half truths and b*******. I came out 3 times after your warranty was long over to help you. The reality is you believed the wrong person and he ripped you off for 875.00. You should be thanking me for trying to help you for free. Funny but true story. I had another huge contract I was referring to you and then I read this review.

Rob came out and inspected our crawlspace for mold and other problems. He determined that the mildewy smell was coming from the dirt and he suggested installing a vapor barrier (plastic to cover the dirt and mask the odor). The workers came out 2 weeks later and did the work. They did a really good job and it looks very professional. I would highly recommend this company for this type of work.

Purchased the Big Deal Whole Home Energy Evaluation and Thermal Camera Scan. The folks from Triangle Reconstruction arrived promptly and presented themselves in a professional manner. They performed the services outlined in the big deal and addressed a number of questions I had related to energy efficiency. The thermal scan found a number of areas in my home that were allowing cold air to penetrate. They provided recommendations on how to seal or insulate those leaky areas. They addressed every area inside the home including bonus room eves and attic. They were also kind enough to address some concerns I had related to my walk-in crawl space. They provided a report the next day that contained thermal pictures and normal pictures of the areas being penetrated by cold air. Overall I had a very pleasant experience with Triangle Reconstruction and would do business with them again.
