They came out and installed new vapor barrier. They were professional and spent about 3-4 hrs removing the old vapor barrier, and installed the new barrier. They double the thickness near the crawlspace door to help avoid damage due to traffic. Would use them again if needed.

Scheduling nightmare. Scheduled dates but no show (excuse = "wrong contact number" but the company had previously contacted me). Project started and then 2+ weeks passed before completion. Company sent invoice but still had not performed one of the services listed (install of drain). This is AFTER they had been there for QC (quality control) check. The people are nice but not organized and I'm not confident in their QC processes. Check your invoice to be sure all work performed!

The owner came out about the big deal, 500 sq ft of vapor barrier and moisture analysis for $99. He informed me on arrival that he would not do a partial job of vapor barrier and that according to plans on file with the county the vapor barrier would cost about $1000. He offered to refund the money for the big deal when I said we didn't need all the vapor barrier replaced. After looking at the crawl space he gave me an estimate for a dehumidifier and crawlspace sealing (which we clearly needed and for which we had received a much higher quote from another company) and included repair of the vapor barrier where it was broken and tacking up of insulation that was hanging down. He was also going to remove some debris and pots. On the day the work was supposed to be performed no one showed up and I had to call. Finally someone else was sent who had a few scribbled notes on a yellow note pad (not the original work order). After he left I realized that the insulation had not been replaced, the debris had not been hauled off, and the dehumidifier was sitting at a crazy angle on some bricks. I called the owner again and he gave me a partial credit, and the next day the worker came back with a cinder block for the humidifier (he said they had run out) and he also hauled away the debris and did a little more work under the house. When all was done, the owner called about the payment and agreed to come by to see the work and if it was what he had committed to. After I gave him my credit card number for final payment, of course I never heard from him again. After that my grandson, husband, and I spent about two days under the house replacing insulation and putting down more vapor barrier. I realize in retrospect that I got what I paid for--maybe even a slight bargain but certainly I wasn't cheated--because of the sheer amount of work that needed to be done. Ultimately the work that was done was decent quality, and the owner responded when I called. However, I do believe he was vague in his commitments and unduly raised my expectations, and overall the communication was inadequate. The Big Deal was very misleading and continued to run that way for a long time. I would use this company again because in the end the outcome was fine, but with full awareness that I would need to clarify what needs to be done.
Description of Work: Installed a small amount of vapor barrier. Tacked up some insulation that was falling down. Installed dehumidifier and sealed crawl space.

I purchased this deal just before the end of the year in 2014. because i was waiting to have some other work completed in the crawlspace they allowed me to wait until i was ready, even though its a time limited purchase. Customer service was great and very responsive. The work was completed in about 4 hours and the crew was very clean and took care of my property but covering the floors and cleaning everything up once the job was complete. the job looks fantastic and i'm sure it will be a lasting quality job.

The crew did an excellent job. The crawl space looks pristine with new insulation and vapor barrier. It looks brand new under there. The guys went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and finished in a day. Punctuality no big deal, but job started late due to equipment, but they more than made up for it with the quality of their work.

Smooth installation. Rob was a pleasure to work with. Provided multiple quotes and took time to explain pros/cons of each option. Ultimately, we decided to fully encapsulate our crawl space. Rob's team did a great job from beginning to end. I would recommend to everyone.

What a DISASTER! We were on the providers calendar for a Thursday and Friday. This was suppose to be a 2 day job. The Monday before they were to start I sent them an email letting them know all of our stuff was out of the crawl space and asking if we needed to do anything else. The response I got made it clear the provider had not read my email, but did say see you Thursday. Thursday came and no one showed up. Thursday evening I called and informed the owner that no one showed up. He apologized and informed me 2 crews would be there on Friday. Mid morning Friday, one young man showed up and was working alone. About an hour later another guy showed up and needed to borrow a roller and roller pan to do his painting as he did not have either. About 2pm they informed me they ran short of materials and would come back to finish the job. They said they would come the next day. I pointed out the next day was Saturday, but they swore they would be at our home. For the record, none of the "crew", there was now a woman with them, had on crawl suits or ventilators. Saturday came and no one showed up. Sunday night I called the owner and left a message asking that they finish the job on Monday. Monday when I came home I went and peeked under the house and could not believe what I saw. The wall had been painted, but the vapor barrier looked like a patch work quilt, there were nails all over the floor and it did not cover 100%. I was pretty over this entire project so figured when they wanted their money they would get in touch with me. When I went into our house I saw I had a phone message. It was from the owner, informing me that I was correct, that the job had not been finished, but he came and finished it himself and everything was in tip top shape, and he would send the bill that night. I could not believe my ears or eyes so I called him and shared my opinion. I questioned if he had really been in the crawl space and if so how he could consider the job done. He told me he would send his best vapor barrier guy over. At this point I insisted on them working on Friday's (I don't work at my day job on Fridays) since we had to relocate our dogs for them to be working in the crawl space and we had already done that enough times at our expense. Friday came and a gentleman showed up mid day informing me he was the CEO of the company. He made a comment that Rob, the owner, told him what I wanted them to do. I informed him I just wanted the job done and done correctly. I went into the crawl space with him and when he saw the job he said, "my 8 year old son could have done a better job than this." Because of that comment I kept my rant to a minimum. He apologized for the "nightmare", his word, of working with his company so far, but promised me he would be back on Monday to do the job and do it correctly. He came with the intention of finishing a vapor barrier and since he had to start all over did not have enough materials on his truck. He told me he would be there Monday and if anything changed he would let me know. I was feeling a bit better about things. Monday came and no one showed up. I called and left a message and got no response. Tuesday came and no one showed up. I sent an email to both the owner and CEO informing them we considered this an abandoned job. I called the owner and left a voice mail to the same effect. The owner called me back and was full of excuses. I gave them an ultimatum. Get the job done before the end of the week or we will consider ourselves through with your company. That week our exterminating service came to do our quarterly treatment. They always go in the crawl space to look around and when they came out they asked why we did not have our mold removed when we had a new vapor barrier put down. I was speechless. I hired an unaffiliated company to do an inspection of the crawl space and learned that Triangle Reconstruction had lied about and used inferior materials than was clearly stated they would in our job contract. We sent TR pictures of the mold, sent a swatch of the inferior material, a check for the vapor barrier which was the only part of the job they got even close to correct, and a leter stating we would not pay for anything else. We sent it certified mail. The USPS tried delivering the letter on a Tuesday. That week we got 2 calls from a 3rd person from TR asking for payment. A week later I sent an email and left a voice mail informing them if they picked up their certified mail they would get our check. They did the following day. After 4 days they got in touch. They did accept our "settlement" and apologized profusely for the "hassle" They blamed it on hiring an outside contractor, but both the CEO and owner had been in the crawlspace long after the external contractor had, and made no attempt to correct the issues. The owner left a long and sad sounding voice mail letting us know he was reevaluating his customer service as a result of our situation. Maybe he will, maybe he wont. I know I will not have the opportunity to find out. I am done with these people. It was not a hassle, it was an outright ripoff, and I highly suggest you find another company for your crawlspace needs.
Description of Work: The provider was SUPPOSE to put a new vapor barrier down, remove mold and fungus from floor joist, close crawlspace vents with 1/2 inch material and paint a wall that had a water issue with an appropriate paint.

Overall good experience. The initial contact was a $19 inspection of my crawlspace, with $200 credit (I think) towards any work that needed to be done. Prior to contacting them I was aware of some issues I had including, no moisture barrier and some mold/mildew on my joists. So this seemed like a good deal. The intial contact was great. A representative came out on time and performed the inspection and confirmed what I already knew. We discussed options on how to deal with it. I decided to go with a new moisture barrier and some manual cleanup of the mildew to be performed by Triangle Reconstruction. There was a minor confusion regarding the actual work. The gentleman who came out was not aware of the cleanup portion of the job. So there was some back and forth from him to their office and they worked it out to install the barrier on that visit and return on a second visit to do the mildew removal/cleanup. After the first visit I received an invoice asking for full payment, which was about $211 outstanding after the $200 credit towards the work. I replied asking for the rest of the work to be completed before I would pay the balance. And they came out for the second visit shortly thereafter. The second visit was fine and the work was performed as expected. I then paid the balance. I only mention this part because I was recently contacted by them asking for me to settle up (5 months after the job was done). We exchanged a couple emails and got it sorted out that I had already paid. No major issue. Overall I am pleased with the work. I would recommend working with them with the small caveat to make sure your communication with them is very clear to avoid any confusion.

I contracted Triangle Reconstruction for an estimate for vapor barrier installation and moisture analysis. The estimate was performed as scheduled and went smoothly. The price was good so we scheduled the installation within a few days. I wasn't home when the barrier was installed but everything looks perfect. I couldn't even tell they had been there. The vapor barrier looks good and the entire crawl space area was left very clean. Thank you!

Very poor job and incomplete . Made me promises that he will do an honest job and put back the bricks and take care of lawn after he finish digging. He broke my neighbor fence and messed up his lawn. And never bothered to fix . He promised to complete the job and he never did. He added extra charges and lied about materials prices . He completely distroyed my back yard and never finished the ditch . He got paid all what he asked for and never bothered to show up to finish his work. He tried to cover up and cheat on pouring gravel under crawlspace to pass inspection.!!!! They are not honest people . Read reviews and complaint with BBB.com. They will not finish your job. They will make a mess. They take for ever do any work. They will destroy your garden and claim that they are sorry and donot try to fix their mess. They WILL over charge you . They will add extra charges to your bill. They are very manipulative. They are theives. I'm very disappointed on man who stands in front of you and tells you lies. Not recommended at all . SAVE YOURSELF A DRAMA AND A HEADACHE AND DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY.

It was all right. They had told me that I needed to get a lot of extra other stuff done and then worker came to do the work. He was like you don't need to have any of the stuff done. I thought like it was a little bit scheduling and the guy was great when he got there, but have lot of things that originally I thought that he was going to have. He did the best he could. He was great. This is the first time I am using them. The person who actually come and did the work was very efficient. He was very friendly. The initial people that came for the assessment came out on time. They were very professional in their behavior. I would not use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Triangle Reconstruction Big Deal purchase in January for energy efficiency audit. They came out probably three weeks later after the purchase. On initial visit they just did a walk through and determine what needed to be done and not done and they said they were going to bring some other equipment, but in the end it never happened and the never came back to do that. Then somebody else who came back it wasn't the same people. First time they look around to seal the air leaks around the windows and that was it.

The jobs were done as expected. I especially appreciate that the technician spent extra time ensuring that the front door sill was adjusted properly to keep out cold air.
