Triangle Custom Landscaping

Maintenance was done for about a year and then they stopped showing up. No response from voicemails or phone calls.

They do all my landscaping; they mow the grass, they do all my flowers. They do lawn maintenance. We have a contract with them. They're awesome. I would absolutely use them again; we're contracted with them.

TCL called me 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment time to say they were running late. I understand things happen and am not concerned they were late, but a heads up in advance would have been nice instead of waiting until after they were supposed to be there to let me know. Was very courteous and professional when they arrived. I explained all the work I wanted done and gave my budget. I was assured that all services could be performed within that budget, save for the retaining wall (as expected), and was promised a quote within a few days. The fact that they even gave me a quote at all is the only thing preventing me from giving them an F, because it took two weeks and multiple follow-ups on my end to get a response. I have to imagine they simply didn't want to do the job, because the quote appeared to be something they whipped up in 5 minutes and was not in budget anyway. I was sent 2 renderings of possible plant ideas (which did look very nice) the day before the quote was sent. I was never given any options on these plants, but me saying I liked the renderings was apparently taken as approval, as the quote I later received stated the plants were "per approved design". The quote completely ignored one of the four beds, did not account for a tree I asked to have moved, included only a single plant for 150+ sq ft in another bed, did not account for fixing the discussed drainage issues, didn't include the lawn reseeding, and recommended a plant that requires full sun for placement in a heavily shaded bed. To top it off, it came in hundreds of dollars over budget, and that was for only half the work I requested. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but this was very disappointing considering I was assured that they could do what I asked within my price range when they were on site. In the end, my frustration lies in the constant over-promising and under-delivering. They didn't hit a single one of their promises, time or budget-wise. I understand I was not asking for an extensive yard remodel, and perhaps they didn't have the resources to allocate to such a small, relatively low-paying job. I would have much preferred they simply communicate that to me rather than string me along and price themselves out when they finally did respond. The account manager I worked with was friendly and seemed excited to do the work (unlike a couple other companies I talked to) when we first spoke, and I had really high hopes for TCL, but was left severely disappointed.

Great job on the seeding as well as the stone pathway. Looks outstanding.

They cut my grass, trim bushes, lawn maintenance. They are efficient. Pleasant and trustworthy. They put their names on their shirts as well.

I explained to Rob my requests for a new landscape design. I had been in the retail florist business for 30 years and was looking for my new plantings to reflect that. Rob, masterfully came up with a to scale print out design. I was quite impressed with Rob's suggestions and ideas. Rob gave me exactly what I wanted and I am remain a satisfied customer. Thanks again Rob, GREAT JOB!

We are very pleased with the patio! It looks great and the guys were very friendly and pleasant to have around!! We would absolutely work with them again!

Robert Echols met with me to discuss plans for replanting the border around our yard. We decided on hollies and Hollywood junipers totaling 30 trees. He was very attentive and responded quickly to any questions I had as we waited for the planting to be done. The team arrived on the appointed day and worked steadily until work was complete - very professional. I also had them prune crepe myrtles and a large Japanese maple as well as transplant some plants. Robert also came back after planting to stake some of the trees after a few days of strong winds. I am very pleased with the service.

Pretty simple... 5 years of yard debris removed from back yard. completely filled up their dump truck (not a pickup) with fallen trees and organic matter that I had put into three large piles as close to the road as I could get it. There were three workers, including the owner, and myself helping the entire time. It took about two solid hours to fill their truck. The response time was excellent, the owner was 100% professional, they were friendly, courteous, and worked with no breaks until the job was completed. The job would have cost more had I not helped the entire time. The value was worth the price.

Robert was extremely responsive and professional. The crew did not meet my expectations. The backyard was bush hogged, but not removed which resulted in the vines coming back within a month. I had to redo most of the removal myself to get what I thought I was paying for here. A cable was cut in the front yard, which was fixed the next day, coordinated by the company, and no outage experienced by anyone. The people who killed the existing yard also killed part of my neighbors yard. No biggie, they got free sod, but I felt the installers ran low on the sod becaues it was laid very patchy (spaces in between, not tight). The sod was also not rolled, which in previous experiences seemed to be a standard thing. So, my weeds were gone for a month and my sod was installed, but no better than what my husband and I could have done ourselves for less money. Overall, I'm very pleased with the yard, but I would not use them again. The cost was too high for the quality of work received.

They do a great job and I'm happy with their work. I would recommend them.

We have been using Triangle Custom Landscaping for a few years and always have had a great experience. The crews are friendly and courteous & always do a great job. It is so nice to come home to a freshly manicured lawn and not having to worry about doing this chore on the weekend. I would highly recommend this company!

Very responsive and professional. The did a good job with the pruning, were very particular with putting down the mulch and cleaned up everything before leaving. I would highly recommend Triangle Custom Landscaping.

The did a great job remulching the beds and cutting back weeds. However I was particularly wanting the beds around the house re-edged and thought they would be doing that with an edging machine. I didn't get the nice little edging trench around the beds, but he did take off what he charged me for what was minimal shovel edging around parts I of the beds. I will have to hire someone else to re-edge the beds. Nice hardworking crew, though.

We normally do our own yard work but had to call in someone this year. After reading the Angies List reviews, I contacted Robert Echols about doing our project. The project was delayed due to the crazy weather we have had this winter and I was always notified about delays. Communication was excellent before, during and after the project. Once they came out, I have never seen folks work so meticulously, quickly, carefully and politely. They went above and beyond to make sure our yard was neat and tidy from beginning to end. Questions were asked if needed. Care was taken with my late mother's heirloom plants, other transplants and plants in beds to be mulched. They did an excellent job removing all the ivy, a truck's worth, a bear of a job we couldn't have done as well ourselves. They even put garden statues back better than I could have. No time was wasted. These guys worked steadily in the rain. And finished up the project in less than a day. Excellent work. The best workers we have ever had on any house projects!

I still use them. They charged $43 for 1.9 acres. They are very good. They all show up. There have been occasions because of weather that they do not show up on schedule date, but they take it up later on in the week. The one great thing about them is the only way they seem to be able bill me is via paper check which is kind of antiquated in my mind. They had been fine with their communication with me. Normally, it is e-mail exchanges and if I ask them to do something, I get a response back very quickly.

They’re fine. We’ve been using them for 6 months. They’re doing what they’re supposed to be doing. So far, they seem to be keeping up with what’s going on with my landscaping. They’re responsive when I need things done. They do it at a proper cycle. I'll stay with them until i have a problem.

Everything went well except one miscommunication. There was mulch around the base of the tree and it was easy to see the difference between the mulch and the bare ground. But the young man doing the job began covering the mulch with the good top soil. If I had not been periodically watching, he wound have covered it all with the mulch and seeded it. He said he thought he was following the right directions from his boss.

The service provided was good. They come every other week and they don't bother anything. They just come in and do their thing and if you have special request, they do that.

As far as what he performed he did well. The pine straw was laid very well. I just wished he would have done what I wanted him to do. It would have been nice.

Working with Triangle Custom Landscaping not only was super easy but the job was done perfectly. I was worried since we had just planted 15 small shrubs which could of easily been buried in the mulch, but they took the time and care to make sure each was nicely and gently mulched. The mulch is beautiful and we will continue to use Triangle Custom Landscaping for all our mulching and landscaping needs in the future :)
