Salem Street Realty

I'm not someone who writes negative reviews lightly. That said, Salem Street earned this one. I have been given the run around for a little over 6 months regarding the return of my security deposit after having moved out. The property manager and I have had multiple conversations on the phone, during which he has confidently assured me that I would receive my check in the next day or two. There is just no good excuse left at this point. I've really given 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc chances. I honestly feel that I have no choice left but to leave this negative review in the hopes that someone will actually tackle the mundane task of mailing me the money that I am (undisputedly) owed. Doing so may motivate me to remove this post. But it most certainly won't come down until someone treats me as though it matters that Salem Street has been sitting on my money for months with no good explanation.

The lady who answers the phone is very nice, but the man who makes the decisions is decidedly unpleasant and a hot head. They took a holding deposit of 1350 and then backed out of the agreement because he told my son he was trouble. My son dared to ask about the electrical outlets which they could not plug their computers (or any other grounded plug) into because they are not upgraded despite the extensive remodeling done on the home. Once the agreement was broken, he told my son that our deposit would be refunded. 10 days later, it has not shown up. Called again and "the check will go out in the mail" on Monday morning, not arrived two days later again. Guess I'll have to go through the bank to get this charge reversed.

I can't recommend them highly enough. Laura spent an incredible amount of time searching for us, going to and viewing properties. We have been thrilled with her and the way she operates; she is wonderful.

Overall, our experience was wonderful! From start to finish John Marinaccio made sure everything went smoothly.
