The crew was professional and did a great job removing the old carpet and installing the new carpet and padding. The removal was more involved than expected but the crew worked diligently until it was completed and instead of taking shortcuts, called in additional help and worked late to finish the job in one day.

We had to wait several months to get on their schedule, but we are so glad we did! It was a pleasure to work with Tony and Danise throughout the entire process. They were always prompt and responsive with communications, always did what they said they'd do, always provided good advice and listened to our concerns. For our master bath, they removed an unused garden tub and created a wonderful walk-in shower in its place. In the space where there had been a small shower stall, Tony built a beautiful open closet/shelving area. We replaced the countertop on the double vanity with granite and got new sinks and faucets, but the vanity itself was in reasonable shape and we wanted to avoid unnecessary costs. So instead of replacing it, RCN painted the vanity to match the new shelving area, and Tony drilled holes for new ceramic knobs my husband made. In addition, they replaced the floors, lighting, and fans in the master and guest baths, replaced the faucet and shower rod in the guest bath, painted both bathrooms, and replaced all three toilets in our house (master, guest, and half-bath downstairs.) RCN's commitment to the quality of their work and to the customer's experience is outstanding. They were trustworthy, reliable, highly skilled, professional, meticulous, talented, and very reasonable regarding price. Tony's skill with tile is evident in all the work he did, and we especially appreciated the extra effort and talent it took to include some decorative tiles my husband made into the design for the master shower. We had never done a project like this before, and Danise provided helpful guidance along the way. We are very happy with the improvements to our home and we give RCN our highest recommendation.

Over the years we have built a house & remodeled several houses. Our experience with Rochester Contractors has been among the best experience. From the start Tony & Danise were able to take our ideas, thoughts & visions & transfer them into designs & reality. They were open to our suggestions & changes. All their sub-contractors & their sons were polite, easy to work with, experienced & always cleaned up their work area each day. We were kept abreast of each contractor's schedule. After the actual project is completed " follow-up" is important. Rochester Contractor's excel at this & many times go beyond what is expected. Although ,a remodeling project is long & messy - Tony & Danise made it as easy & pleasant as possible. We are very happy with our bathrooms especially our master bathroom - strange as it may sound it is one of our favorite rooms in the house!
Description of Work: Updated guest bath- floor, counters, sinks/faucets, toilet, painted. Totally gutted master bath- heated floor, cabinets ,sinks/faucets, toilet , curb less /walk in shower, tiled & painted walls, replaced windows, built window seat with storage, chandelier.

Rochester is the only contracting company we will use from now on. We had the best experience working with Danise and Tony and have recommended them to everyone we know who has remodeling projects. Danise worked with us on the design and selecting finishes, while Tony focused more on the construction/functional side (taking measurements, estimating, creating options for us). Danise was so accommodating, flexible, and patient, meeting with us at many tile shops to choose finishes. Tony had great ideas and came up with options/suggestions that we never would have thought of. They were very detail-oriented and made sure to update the project estimate every time we made changes. Once the project got underway, we were extremely impressed with the care they took to cover the floors and surrounding area to keep it clean and not do any damage. They cleaned up at the end of every day and tried to leave us with as much usable kitchen space as possible. Since one of us works from home, they took special care to communicate what work would be done when and coordinate when they needed to be quiet. Throughout the process, their level of communication was excellent. They were very responsive, honest, and transparent. There simply is no comparison to other builders/contractors we have worked with. So easy to work with and trustworthy. We felt completely at ease letting them enter and lock up the house with no one else at home. We could not be happier with the final results ? everything looks perfect. The quality of the work is outstanding, and their sub-contractors are top-notch. Keep in mind that they are busy, and for good reason. It may take longer to get on their schedule, but it is absolutely worth the wait. We are already in discussions with them for the next renovation project on our house.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel - moved and rewired electrical, replaced electric cooktop with professional gas rangetop and new ventilation, replaced double-bowl stainless steel sink with clay farmhouse sink, replaced base cabinets for rangetop and sink, installed new granite countertops, installed new backsplash tile, installed custom island cabinet trim, installed door-triggered pantry lighting

While clearly this is a busy contractor who did explain that it would be 10 days to 2 weeks to come out to get us n estimate, no follow up call was ever received with their intentions in any way. It must be nice to have a full book but other members should be aware of this lack of business courtesy and professionalism. Apparently a job must be of a certain size to get their full attention. If you need less than a gut remodel, you may want to look elsewhere.
Description of Work: They provided an estimated date for a follow up call and visit to our home for an estimate but never called back or came to perform estimate.

Dear [member's name removed], As I said when i spoke to you it would be at least 2 weeks before we could get back to you and we were booking into Spring of 2016. We are a small company and try very hard to accommodate everyone the best that we possibly can no matter how big or small the project is. It is never our intention to make anyone wait or inconvenience them. We have done numerous projects with several repeat customers and have never had someone give us an F until now and we did not even do any work for you. I understand that you are frustrated because you had to wait but I think the F review was uncalled for especially because I was very honest about our schedule. We put a lot of effort into our business and satisfying our clients. Most of our customers turn into our friends because they know how much we care and see how professional we are. We wish you the best of luck with your project .

The entire project went quite smoothly. At the end of every work day, our garage and kitchen were left very neat and orderly. We love our new kitchen! The colors of all the finishes are beautiful together. The kitchen is now a much more functional and enjoyable room. We have much more cabinet space. The space is more efficient as well -- we have roll out shelves and especially like the spice cabinet next to the stove. The lighting is fabulous, we love the pendants, the "under-the-cabinet" lighting, and the dimmers. Our refrigerator was moved to a better and more accessible location. The shelving above the washer and dryer will now accommodate our warehouse club kitchen products. Noteable highlights: Tony came up with a backsplash design that was exactly what we had in mind!! Danise is a fabulous cook!! Tony and Danise are very professional, courteous, personable, most accommodating, all around genuine, kind and trustworthy people. We have felt so priveleged to know and work with them.
Description of Work: RCN remodeled our kitchen. They worked with us to find out what our tastes and needs were and helped us with the design and selection of all materials prior to the start date. They gutted the kitchen, hauled all trash away, had new plumbing installed, painted, installed new lighting, tile, cabinets, granite, sink/faucet, appliances and backsplash.

Thanks so much for your kind words! We loved creating a beautiful new kitchen for you both and really appreciate your business. We hope you enjoy your new kitchen! Thanks again, Danise and Tony
Everything from start to finish was GREAT! Tony came out and listened to what we wanted to do and had some great ideas and suggestions. We did get multiple estimates but really like what they were able to offer and they had a very competitive price. After we decided to go with them Danise came out and helped us with the design. Neither of us have a great eye for design so Danise was a HUGE help in picking out all of the colors and making sure that everything was going to match. We did the project in two installments with the kitchen cabinet working happening first and then they scheduled the hardwood floor work for while we were going to be out of town so we didn't have to spend money on a hotel for a week and with a toddler in the house it was a huge relief. They always kept us up to date on progress and sent us pictures throughout the day to make sure that we liked what was happening. They were constantly in communication with us during the entire project and we could not be happier with the results. We would definitely recommend and will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Painted kitchen cabinets, installed under cabinet lighting, installed new hardwood floors in family room and refinished existing hardwoods floors in the rest of the lower level of the house to match.

Honest, knowledgeable, conscientious, creative, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with! Tony and Danise helped transform our home from an older, run-down house with quite a few design issues to a beautiful, comfortable home that looks and feels like new. Walls were removed in some rooms and added in others. The kitchen ceiling, which had been lowered, was raised making the kitchen look much bigger and brighter. One of the biggest challenges was lowering the raised living room floor with its dangerous 20-foot long 7-inch step down to the hallway. This included installing a new floor with hardwood that matched the rest of the wood in the house and reworking an entire two-story high wall of windows! In addition to the many structural improvements, almost the entire house was renewed including flooring, cabinetry, and molding, and there were 3 complete bathroom remodels! The project included electrical, plumbing, drywall, glass, tile and stone work, etc... Danise was especially helpful in guiding us to good decorating choices. It helped a lot to be able to talk ideas over with her before having to make decisions. The scope of the project was huge. I especially appreciated Tony's flexibility and willingness to help us develop ideas to make the renovation even more special than originally planned. Tony is very knowledgeable but never hesitated to call in the expertise of others (architect, engineer, etc.) when needed. He works with good subcontractors and takes the responsibility for the end product no matter who the workman is. It is very comforting to know that you can rely on Tony at all times. Thank you, Danise and Tony, for helping make our house a home we can love and enjoy!

Do not pass this contractor up! He is reliable, honest, and conscientious. I've seen his work first hand at our next door neighbors' house and it is excellent. He was unable to fix our home issues, but he helped us solve them anyway and we definitely will hire him in the future!
Description of Work: We met with Tony on numerous ocassions. We had window and door issues, and were considering other projects around the house. He was punctional, professional, very communicative, and very honest. It turned out that our windows and doors were covered under warranty (thanks to Tony's investigative work!). Unfortunately, he couldn't fix the windows and doors for us due to the great difficulty in obtaining window replacement parts and doors from the manufacturer, and his schedule was booked months in advance. However, I must say that if it wasn't for him we would never have even been able to obtain warranty service. The manufacturer was extremely difficult to get in touch with and to deal with, but he personally contacted them and drew up a list of what we needed. Many times he took time out of his hectic day to help us without a penny changing hands. What an honest and tremendously helpful man! I hope he's around for years to come because we hope to hire him for future projects!

Tony and Danise from Rochester Contracting Network (RCN) did a fantastic job remodeling our downstairs bathroom. Danise helped me bring out my vague ideas for a tile wainscoting into a finished design, which Tony expertly installed. All of the subcontractors involved are chosen with RCN's high standards in mind. I still smile every time I walk into my new bathroom.

Thank you for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you to create a beautiful new bathroom. We hope you enjoy it in the years to come. Thanks again we appreciate the kind words and the business.
Tony and Danise Ciaccia of Rochester Contracting network did a wonderful job on our renovation and were a joy to work with. Tony was able to spend some time with us to define exactly what we wanted to do for each part of our renovation and provided us detailed and accurate quotes for all the work that was going to be performed. Our project had some special issues with permitting that Tony helped us work through and provided much needed guidance. Our local building codes did cause us to make some changes to our overall project plan and Tony was able to help us work through the changes and not blow our budget. We had several trades involved in our project. We had carpentry for the widening of a doorway. Electrical for the addition of ceiling fans, can lights and low voltage home theater setup. This actually turned into basically a complete rewiring of our "family room". We had old insulation removed and current insulation installed in the outside walls. We found out our mechanical room needed some additional sealing and insulating as well and we also decided to upgrade the door and frame. Plumbing work included the replacement of an old toilet and vanity in the laundry room. The family room got all new sheetrock on the walls and ceiling and there was various other patching/replacing of walls in the other rooms as well. We got new flooring throughout. Stairs were repaired and re-carpeted. The laundry room got new vinyl flooring and the rest of the rooms got laminate flooring. Finally there was trim carpentry performed throughout. Danise was a big help in picking out the new paint colors, flooring and carpet. She was able to understand what colors we liked how we wanted to "hide dirt" and was able to help us pick out the laminate, carpet and paint colors to give us everything we wanted and retain a modern clean look. She made sure we were well informed about what was happening on days when Tony was not as readily available. Both of them were great communicators as we typically talked with Tony on just about a daily basis. Our questions were always answered quickly. We are very happy with the quality of the work that Tony and his crew performed. They were all clean, courteous and professional. Especially the electrical, trim carpentry and flooring were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. When we are ready to renovate the next floor of our house we will definitely be calling Tony first.
Description of Work: We renovated the lower floor of our split level home. This included: some electrical rewiring, structural work to widen a doorway, replacing bathroom fixtures, sheet rock work on the ceiling and walls and some new laminate flooring.

Tony and his crew were professional and detail oriented, working out anticipated problems with me ahead of time, and taking care not to make more of a mess than necessary. They took care to keep my wayward and curious cats inside and worked to make sure the last details were taken care of, including a jet that was not working perfectly. I was impressed by the professionalism, realistic advice and attention to detail. The mosaic tile looks very nice. Tony patiently replaced a vanity after I knocked it over in the dark and shattered the sink. I will have them back when I have time to select some molding and a light fixture.
Description of Work: This was a bathroom remodel involving demolition of old garden tub and replacement with a jetted tub. Also drywall, tile and framing were involved. One long vanity was removed and replaced with two small vanities.
We found owners Danise and Tony Ciaccia on Angie's List, and they delivered to us a kitchen far beyond our dreams or expectations. Remodeling Design Specialist Danise and Contractor Tony and Tony's subcontractors for painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tile, hardwood, carpet, granite, appliances, and cabinets are suberb. Everyone went above and beyond in accommodating, patience and expertise and making our home just the way we wanted it . Danise and Tony took us to choose the materials, advised us and presented fun and fresh ideas and solutions and cared about making us happy. They did an unbelievably beautiful job and our kitchen feels like a living room with fancy furniture. A masterful craftsman, Tony's meticulous execution is impressive. He is impeccably clean, orderly, and careful to cover things and use drop cloths, always vacuuming, cleaning, and insisting on putting felt protectors under anything that moved. The project was done on time and on budget. The plans were concise and reflected a creative approach to space utilization and very close attention to detail. The recommended products were of high quality and we had a variety of options from which to choose. The coordination among all those involved was excellent and we were carefully communicated with during all phases of our remodel. Danise and Tony were in constant contact with us and response time to any question was immediate. A pleasure to work with, we heartily recommend Rochester Contracting Network; in fact, we have scheduled another bathroom for remodel. Outstanding customer service and workmanship. The best contractor ever and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Complete REMODEL / redesign of KITCHEN and PANTRY including new door, moving and recessing refrigerator, hardwood flooring; angled cabinets, island, granite counter tops, crown molding and trim, in-cabinet LIGHTING with glass shelves for display; can lighting in kitchen ceiling, over sink, under cabinets and in ceilings of hallways; tiled back splash with pencil trim; carpeting Master bedroom, stairs and upstairs hallway, PAINTING of entire FIRST FLOOR (bathroom ,library, living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, Master bedroom, hallways, foyer and all doors) and upstairs hallway; all house door locks and handles replaced, changed all window locks, added shelves to linen closet, shelves and light in laundry room dimmers on all kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway light switches; relocated HVAC vent from kitchen to dining room wall, replaced sconces and smoke alarms, checked dehumidifier under house, replaced mirror cabinet and towel racks in bathroom and changed all electrical outlet and light switch covers.

Tony is a top notch contractor. My wife and I were expecting a baby and needed extra space. We had an unfinished room in the basement that was currently used only as storage, and Tony worked with me through several drafts to find the best way to redesign the layout, and provide the best use of the space. I obtained 5 estimates from top companies here on Angie's List. Tony wasn't the cheapest from the list...but he wasn't the most expensive, either. After interviewing they 5 candidates, I found that Tony just gave me the best vibe...very personable, and had an honest sense about him. Once we had the estimate written, we found that the township needed an architect to draw out official designs to show how the main wall was going to be supported. Since this requirement came after the estimate, Tony paid for this out of his own pocket. Once work began, it was quickly apparent that Tony used high quality sub contractors. The framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall/finishing, and painting were all done by courteous and professional guys. Extra care was taken to ensure that the dust/noise from the construction would not adversely affect my pregnant wife and 2yr old daughter. Even when we discovered some drywall dust in the main floor, Tony offered to pay for cleaning services. "Above and beyond" is Tony's creed. During the course of the project, there were several small annoyances with my house that needed addressing (misaligned doors, poor HVAC drainage, etc). These items were minor, and Tony could have charged me to make these repairs....but he didn't. This act along cost very little as far as time and effort, but they went a long way in proving his dedication to his clients. Overall, the work is fantastic. The finished product is well above my expectations. Tony's wife, Danise, helped us with all of the finishing touches...paint color, bathroom fixtures, carpet, etc. She has excellent taste, and added a nice personal touch to project. There is a real sense that Tony and Danise really care about each and every project, and the people they work with. Once our baby was born, he was even thoughtful enough to bring by a gift. I cannot recommend them enough.

Overall this was a good experience. We talked to about 6 contractors and got 4 estimates. Tony was not the least expensive, but seemed more comfortable with some things we wanted which were not straightforward. He suggested things along the way that changed the design slightly and improved the product, and he didn't nickel and dime on changes we requested. My wife particularly liked having Danise there to help with choices and meet us at vendors. She smoothed things for us. The tile work came out particularly good and this is what I'm the happiest with. Tony did the tile work himself, where the other contractors depended on bringing in tile subcontractors. Tony seemed to enjoy it and discussed options he suggested along the way, which resulted in a better looking job at the end. I doubt this would have happened with a sub crew who would be there a couple days and not come back. I'm sure it made the job last a few days longer, but in retrospect, I'd not want to do it any other way. I appreciated the smaller crew approach as well, since it limited the number of different people coming in and out of the house and give us confidence in the people who were there. Lastly, but very important, any problems were fixed - no discussion, and he honored the quote. Extra work I asked for was performed petty inexpensively, or he opted not to charge. He takes pride in his work and his reputation, which is refreshing. If I were starting this one over again, I'd ask him to come back.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of master bath - rip out to walls and replace.

Took several days to comple all projects. Tiling kitchen floor was more disrupting than other projects we had done but that was explained upfront. They suggested and helped implement workarounds for some of the expected discomforts. Workmen were curteous, well behave (no loud radios etc) and cleaned up perfectly after each days work. as if no one was there. We had one issue with the hardwood floor installation but that was easily, quickly and expertly resolved. Everyday as we use these areas(mentioned above) in our home we think of how satisfied we are with all the services, products & pricing we rec'd via Rochester Contracting... Service before, during and after the sale has been spot on... Looking forward to our next home inprovement project together.

They are great. They are always son time, they did a good job. I had a tile that split and he came back and fixed it. His wife helps with the picking and choosing, she takes you around.
Description of Work: He did our master bathroom. He redid all of the tile and the ceramic shower.

They did a spectacular job, came on the weekend (!) to get it finished, and were absolutely lovely people, as is Tony's wife Danise. I plan to hire them again and again, and I recommend them wholeheartedly!
Description of Work: Tony and his son repaired and tiled my bathroom floor, which I'd destroyed after having tried to fix water damage myself.

Tony and Danise take pride in their work. They wanted to make sure I was happy with my selections and how things were done. They showed up on time and got right to work. If there was going to be a delay they let me know as soon as possible. Danise always let me know what would be worked on the next day. I told Tony what I wanted done, he prepared a detailed estimate. Danise took me to the suppliers and helped me pick out the things I wanted. As things changed they updated the estimate so I always knew what it was going to be. This was a big project, it ended up taking a few days longer than they estimated, but this was because of unforeseen problems that arise and "little" things I added along the way. One of the toilets had a very small drain into the bowl. Tony replaced something in the tank, the tank itself then finally the supplier allowed him to just put in an entire new toilet to solve the problem. If there was a problem, they were on the phone to correct it right away. For example a cabinet door was scratched and they immediately called to get a replacement. They didn't put a problem off, got on it right away to find a solution. Around the fireplace there was a gap that Tony came up with a way to cover it with molding, looks great. They cleaned up the work area daily, leaving nothing in the driveway or front area.
Description of Work: Removed old and installed new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, granite countertops, under mount sinks, garbage disposer, plumbing and faucets. Installed tile backsplash in kitchen. Moved an old kitchen cabinet into the laundry room. Installed hardwood floors in kitchen, powder room and hallway. Installed tile in the master bathroom & laundry room. Installed carpeting throughout rest of house. Repaired a step that needed reinforcement. Installed new lighting fixtures in kitchen family room, master bathroom, powder room, hallway. Under counter lighting in the kitchen. Installed 2 new toilets, 1 exhaust fan, 2 mirrored medicine cabinets. Removed and installed new fiberglass bathtub & shower, had to open slab and move plumbing for drain. Fixed doors that would not close properly and installed new hardware and locks, on doors.

They are very personable. They helped me out with samples. They brought me to go look at granite samples. They were very professional. I did have one issue with the carpet on the stairs, where one of the staples came apart, and it was repaired in the same week.
Description of Work: They installed the carpet in our rental property 2 years ago. They did some lighting in my kitchen, and installed granite countertops in my personal home about a year ago as well as installed carpet about 6 months ago. They will be doing vinyl flooring in our rental soon.
