They came in with a crane that went 175ft. and cut those things and lifted them right out of the forest. They were amazing and there was not one bit of damage done to anything. We were afraid that they were going to crack our driveway. One tree was extremely dead and it was very dangerous for them to remove in other ways. They just wrapped the crane around the top, cut it and lifted it up. There was nothing that they need to do better. They had to delay for some reason, maybe the weather, and they immediately called us and kept us up-to-date about when they were coming. They cleaned up well and you could not have known that they were here.

It did not go well from start to unfinished.

The entire job was done quickly yet safely. Less and his team we're very professional and friendly. They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up all the debris really well.

They were responsive. I liked their professionalism and the information that was provided at the time of the estimate. It seemed pretty much in line with what I hoped would happen. They did a really good job and their price was very good too. I liked their level of thoroughness and meticulousness. They were very careful and very attentive to detail. They really took the time to do the job right and made sure that the trees came down very carefully. They also cleaned up great afterwards, which is always a plus. They were awesome.

From beginning to end, the job was handled professionally. It was a big job, and you would never know they were here. They cleaned up after themselves. Lots of equipment filled the street and they had the crew in an out in about a half day. Excellent work. I would use them again if there was a need too.

We contracted Jand D Tree Pros ( http://www.jdtreepros.com/ ) for removal of 7 large white oak, hickory, and red maples that were hazardous to our home. (We called them for this elective tree removal since we had used their services in August, 2009 for emergency removal of a large red oak that had fallen on our house). The 'no impact tree removal' technique using their 75 ton Link Belt crane was important to us because of our comprehensive landscape and the proximity of the trees to our home and other structures. Importantly, the crane, logging truck, and chipper were located on city streets thereby saving any damage to our driveway and property. All the lifted tree materials were handled in the street by their equipment. The 5 men crew worked for two days carefully cutting, lifting, and handling each tree section. They had to setup the crane on two different streets on our corner property to properly access the trees from each street. They obtained the city's approval to block one through-street for one day. On the second day, the crane setup allowed vehicular access on the narrow culdesac in front of our house. On the culdesac setup, the crane's support outriggers had to be installed over my 'drystack' flagstone wall onto a raised flower bed. It took two hours as I assisted them in moving several plants and then they had to use support boards for the crane setup on the raised flower bed. This procedure and encroachment onto my property was necessary to allow traffic flow on the narrow culdesac. I was very impressed with no damage to my drystack stone wall and minimal impact on my property. I simply volunteered to replant the plants after they left. Since the 110 foot tall hickory tree was located 145 feet from the street, the crane could only lift less than 2000 pounds per cut. This took many cuts and lifts over my house with no problems or damage during this long procedure. Similarly the large white oaks were removed from the 'top down' by sections carefully lifted over surrounding trees to the street. I would definitely use this family-owned and locally operated company again if necessary. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They left the area completely clean when they left.

This was a very fair estimate compared to others we had gotten, the gentlemen showed up on time for the estimate, and they showed up on time for the job. They were professionals and removed the tree quickly. They cleaned up very well after the tree was removed. We are very happy with this company and highly recommend them.

The guy doing the estimate wanted to make this way more complicated than it was with cranes, ropes, men, hours, which way the tree was going to go down, etc. It did not instill a whole of confidence in me that the job would turn out right. The other estimates I received, the estimaters were confident, talked more like they have done this a whole lot and knew exactly how to take down the tree and offered opinions as alternatives

They did an excellent job and did not damage any of the other trees. They used a crane to do the work and I was very pleased with the work they did. They were timely and got the work done in the time that they said they would.

Excellent -- schedule was changed to accommodate changing weather conditions -- owner called and added us in after several reschedules. Job went very smoothly, the crew was very thorough, safe and polite. The work went quickly with several people doing things in the front and back at the same time. Price was competitive and they provided a 10% coupon in the mail.

Watching them remove our trees from the middle of many other trees with their immense crane was magnificient. They were extremely professional and did an excellent job. When they left, you would never know they had been there. We would not hestitate to have them do work for us again and we are recommending them to anyone who needs tree work.

I spent about $3000 on them. They were very good and very careful. I was very pleased with their work. I will consider using them again in the future.

I wasn't home when they did the work but it looked just fine when I got back. Everything had been completed as planned and they communicated their schedule changes very well along the way.

Overall, an excellent experience. I had another estiimate and those people didn't have a big enough crane. They came in $400 cheaper, but they were going to climb these trees and take it down one by one and drag everything across the yard and to the street. It would have taken a whole day if not longer and my yard would have needed big time repair. I chose to pay more for the crane service.

They came to do the estimate the day I called for help. We had a little confusion getting the estimate to me, a problem with the email address, but when I called asking about it, they corrected the problem and I got it immediately. I emailed back accepting the bid. They called a couple of hours later asking if they could do the work immediately. An hour later they arrived. They used a bucket truck to get up to the broken branch (at least 12 feet up, probably more), and made a clean cut. The ground crew cleaned up, shredding the branches and raking until everything was clean again. THEN the bucket man discussed another tree with me. This is the one that the previous guy had spiked, removing some dead stuff at the top. He'd left about 8 feet of dead trunk there. The bucket guy from Jand D said the tree trunk showed signs of a fungus on that dead part and if it was allowed to come on down the living trunk, it would kill the tree. He moved the bucket truck to the tree's vicinity, and took that 8 feet off, plus another dead branch up there that I could not see from the ground. He took it off in chunks, bringing it down with the bucket, rather than dropping it. In the meantime, one of his crew members volunteered to clean up a stack of fallen branches that were in my back yard. I asked him instead to take a smaller tree that had been cut and left there, and he did, shredding it. So end of story, what I wanted done was done, plus a lot of stuff that I didn't expect - and they didn't charge me more for it. In conversation with the bucket man, I got the feeling that he is as interested as I am in keeping the trees alive and healthy - and I really appreciate that in someone whose job it is to cut trees down. I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat, and probably will be using them again, since I have a lot of trees and there is often storm damage.

They were very customer friendly and professional. They were very polite. Also they did what they said they would when they would do it. There were no problems and we have recommended them to friends and neighbors.

We were very pleased with the service from Jand D Tree Pros. Greg came out and looked over our property at our new house and made some recommendations for service. He also pointed out some things that needed to be done that he felt my husband could handle. He gave us a firm estimate and told us he would contact us to confirm a scheduled appointment for the next week. There was a little bit of a snafu with the scheduling due to the fact that they had the wrong email address for us (this is a company very comfortable using email for communication, which is great!) but they resolved it quickly and sent our an arborist and crew the next day. The crew arrived within the specified time frame. The arborist, Leslie, was very knowledgeable and was able to point out even more things about our landscaping that should be taken care of and/or watched. He did not pressure me at all to have any additional services done, which was nice. I would definitely be comfortable having him come back and provide more services for us in the future. The crew was nice and friendly as well. The next week, a different man came to handle the fertilization of our trees. He did his job quickly and professionally. We highly recommend Jand D!

It was a massive project and I was very pleased with them and the results. They had to lift the trees over my house and they didn't leave a single branch in the yard or on the lawn. They were a little bit expensive but it was completely worth it.

J and D Tree Pros did an excellent job. They used a crane to take down the trees without any damage to our yard, power lines, or cable line. It was fascinating to watch the tree pro who was hoisted into the tree cut the trees from the top down. What little debris fell to the ground, they removed when they were done. Although I think the job was a little more difficult than they anticipated, they honored the quote we were given.

They were able to give us an estimate of the work right away and scheduled the work within two weeks from the date of hire. The whole crew showed up early (8:00) and worked quickly and efficiently. I was amazed they were done by 10:30! They really knew what they were doing! By using the crane, there was no damage to our lawn or foundation. They were always in control of the trees even when one giant pine tree was lifted over our house and they had to remove the other giant pine tree growing only 20 inches away from our garage! The only thing they could improve upon is communication. They left without telling us that they were finished and that they would be back another day to grind the stumps. When a man returned the next day to grind the stumps, he did not knock on the door, but began walking around the yard to find the stumps that needed grinding. The only reason I knew he was there was that the dog was barking.

Their workmanship was super we could not have asked for a better company. They explained to us what they were doing so it would be to what we wanted done. They cut one of our trees down as it had died with great care. These three guys worked to perfection. could not have asked for a better crew.

One of the best companies I've ever worked with and one of the few I've seen that take tremendous pride in their work. Every member of their team was courteous, professional, honest, etc, and the work was perfect. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree removal and will only use this company in the future.

The employees were very friendly and efficient. My neighbors had trees taken down and other people from the neighborhood, myself included, were able to get smaller jobs completed on the same day. They were knowledgeable and honest. I asked about the need to take down a large tree in my yard and I was told that the tree was healthy so it didn't need to come down. There are 2 arborists with the company and they have a crane that is used to take down large trees near a house. Overall I was very happy with my experience as were all of my neighbors.
