Grand Openings Garage Door

Mike arrived exactly on time and began the garage door tune up. He lubricated all moving parts, tightened everything that needed tightening and replaced all of the rollers. I told him of a problem we were experiencing occasionally and he adjusted the tension mechanisms. Mike told me if the problem was not corrected, to call him and he would return at no charge. He also gave me tips to maintain the door on my own. Not only was our problem corrected, but the door opens and closes quieter and more smoothly than I ever remember. We recommended Mike to friends and they had a similar experience.

The service was good. They were quick to get out here and do it. He was very prompt, and was easy to get back in touch with, when we had questions afterwards. It was a good service. The pricing was fair.

It was fine. The guy who came out was prompt and courteous. He did exactly what he said that he was going to and the work turned out fine. There were no problems. I did not spend any more than the big deal price and he came out pretty timely after I purchased the deal, within a couple of weeks.

Installation was quick & was definitely needed! Got a keypad opener for garage door installed, too, which cost $50 for the parts & installation.

He arrived on time. Was friendly, but got right to work. This job went very well.

I called Mike to come out because the garage opener had difficulty closing the door. This occurs when the temperature reaches around 30 degrees and below. But on the day he came to investigate, the temperature was warmer and above the threshold to trigger the problem. Despite this, he still provided some suggestions as to the cause of the problem. He also offered an assessment of the door, spring and opener. The previous owner had replaced the door and the spring but the opener I believe was installed 20 years ago when the house was built. Mike was not comfortable performing a maintenance service because the opener could need repair at any time given its age and said it would be in my financial best interest to do repair/replacement and maintenance in one service call. On my request, Mike provided the make and model of a new opener -- the LiftMaster 8355. He followed up with a quote via email. I proceeded to get two more assessments just to be thorough. One company did absolutely nothing to troubleshoot the issue and just recommended a new opener. The other company did troubleshoot but was not as careful while taking apart the opener for examination. Both companies also recommended the LiftMaster 8355. I had some further email dialogue with Mike in my effort to educate myself on the new opener. He was quick to respond and provided very helpful information. This added to the positive impression I had when he initially came out to investigate. Once we decided to proceed, he was able to get us on the schedule within days. Mike arrived within the stated time frame. I was in the garage the during the entire installation. He set up quickly and began the process of dismantling the old opener, configuring the new one and hanging it. He adjusted the spring and lubricated it. He adjusted the door panels, lubricated the hinges and the rollers. He took time to tack the sensor wires to the wall in order to keep them neat and out of the way. Mike cut new mounts for the opener unit and ran the wires in a much more organized manner. He also cleaned up before leaving. It was such a pleasure to see the garage open and close without issue. And it was so quiet!! Mike is very courteous, respectful and scores high marks for his professionalism. I would certainly hire him again and would highly recommend him to others.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were wonderful. They get a high recommendation from me. They were on time, they were knowledgeable about the door, they did some alignments and adjustments that were not included, just to make sure that I didn't have any problems in the future. They were just very helpful. The price was very good for the work done, and they were very professional. I would use them again in the future.

I called Mike after purchasing an Angie's list deal from his company. He had just received a call with a cancellation so he was able to fit us in within an hour. He came to our house on time, explained the problem and immediately started working on fixing it. He fixed the issue to our satisfaction and also fixed a small issue with the other door. I was very satisfied with the work done by Mike and would use him again.

Mike returned my call within half an hour and was here within 3 hours, fitting me in during a busy holiday weekend. Mike arrived punctually. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed problem with the Garage door. This is an old wooden door that was drooping slightly inwards and tripping the light sensor. Mike found a simple fix that that moved the light sensors slightly. He also tightened up several loose bolts on the doorframe. Talking with Mike it was easy to appreciate his knowledge-ability and professionalism. Mike will be getting a call from me next time my garage door needs repair or replacement.

My 13-year-old garage door stopped opening all the way so I bought an Angie's list coupon for a $99 garage door tuneup from Grand Openings LLC. Mike Ropelewski came out when promised and told me that the spring on the door was broken. He explained the options of replacing the spring versus the entire door due to its age and builder-grade quality; I decided to get just the spring replaced. Mike came back a couple of days later and replaced the spring, lubricated the door, adjusted the sensors, and tightened up the door hinges with some additional screws. The total cost was $350 (not too bad considering that the spring was much bigger than the previous one and was guaranteed for 15 years or the life of the door); the $99 coupon was applied to that. The garage door now works properly and is a lot quieter and smoother than before. Mike was friendly and professional and I would definitely use him again.

I had contracted for a garage door tune up. That was comleted satisfactorily. Unfortunately or fortunately a serious issue was found and it necessitated additional work. I was very happy with the plans, additional cost to fix the problem and the quick resolution. They had the parts and install done within the next 3-4 days.

I bought the Angie's list big deal for a garage door tune-up and I'm glad I did. The technician arrived on time and got right to work. He seemed to really know what he was doing and my garage door works much better now. It's quiet as can be. He also helped troubleshoot a faulty garage door opener for me. I signed up for a tune-up although I knew that I needed more - a repair. I had used this company before, was very happy with Michael's work, and wanted to go through Angie's List. When he called, I explained the situation (I had backed into my garage door and the rollers were off and there was a bit of a mess.) He was booked for the day, but called me back to say that he realized I could not leave the house while the door was stuck halfway up and would come when he finished the job he was on. He came in the afternoon, reassured me I was not an idiot for backing into my garage door (nice, but not really true), and fixed the garage door. I am not sure exactly what he had to do, but it was considerable work. I would and will call him again and recommend him highly.

Michael was exceptional! I spoke with him on Sunday and he was at my house Monday morning. (I had called another garage door company and I still haven't heard back from them.) He explained what was wrong with the "operator" (what I call the garage door opener), told me what he did to fix it and explained the options. Very professional. Very prompt. Very knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend.

He came out and said we needed a part for the garage door and he order it. |He came out a couple weeks later to install the part and it didn't fix the problem, so he said he would order another part and would come back to install at no charge, we haven't heard from him, nor did he do the things that was included on the special.

He was very professional and knowledgable. Informed me of all that he was going to do, and when he left, I was very satisfied.

It was great. Mike was a pleasure to work with. I used him once before because he was the only one who did not charge for a service call. He spent some time fixing the problem but said we did not need to replace anything immediately even though he could have found many ways to sell us something. He did not charge for the service but I paid him anyway. We then had him replace the opener and he did a great job. I did not compare prices but his seemed reasonable. He added an outdoor keypad and charged only what it cost him. I would strongly recommend him for anything related to garage doors, based on his ability and personality.

He was so impressed with Mike's honesty, competency and professionalism that I decided to call Mike to install a wireless touch pad and to do some maintenance on my garage system. Mike arrived promptly and actually did the work . Upon further discussion about the poor quality of my original garage opener I decided that I wanted a new opener. There was no sales pressure from him . I scheduled Mike to come the following week for an installation. He did not charge me for the service call. He arrived promptly again and worked diligently to install an opener and touch pad. As promised, the difference in quality and performance between the two openers was amazing. While at my home he answered a few phone calls from potential clients and I was impressed with his professionalism and courtesy. Mike is golden and I would recommend him to anyone who needs garage door service or replacement.
