Perfect. Responded to e-mail request for estimate same night. Made appointment around my schedule. Showed up on time. Thorough explanation of parts and service. All work done in less than one hour.

The technician was on time. Very polite. Did the work without much fuss. Garage door is functioning without squealing. Very pleasant experience. I asked if I needed new rollers and he was honest and said that I had the best kind already installed on my garage door. I really appreciate that honesty

My garage door was stuck open. I called around and got some information on the likely problem, but could not find anyone to come out on a Sunday. I called Mike and he provided me with a lot of detailed information and arrived at my home within a few hours. He arrived on time and was very professional. He took a lot of time to explain the problem and show me the broken parts. He had the replacement parts in his truck and was able to repair it on the spot. In addition to fixing the spring, he was able to repair the track so it closed more smoothly, as it has never opened and closed quite right. I am very pleased with the cost and quality of this service and will highly recommend Grand Openings.

We were having problems with our garage door coming out of the runners and as any man would do I tried to fix it myself. As such it ended up coming completely out of the runner on one side and went beyond my capability. I prepurchased a package on Angies List for 99 dollars for this vendor which listed a myriad of issues they dealt with for that package. Runners and anything else that could be wrong with your garage door were both listed as included in the price. The repairman showed up at 8'oclock on time but quickly informed me that it would cost extra to put my garage door back on its runner on the one side. I was of course frustrated so he said he would cut me a deal and only charge 50 dollars extra. At this point I was so frustrated, unsure if I could get my money back, and ready for the stupid door to be fixed that I told him to go ahead. Cheap practice to charge a customer extra after they've already purchased the deal. I'm sure his response to this review will be well the door was really bad. I'm here to say that the garage door was not bad and that runners along with anything wrong with your garage door were listed in the details of the deal. Not sure if it's a company practice to charge extra upon arrival but be aware just in case.

The tune up was quick and the addition of the brace solved the problems we were having with the garage door not closing. He was quick, professional and on time and our garage door now works perfectly and it's much quieter and smoother when opening and closing.

Excellent! Technician came to my house at the appointed time. Actually the appointment was for between 9 and 10 am and he was there at 9:00 on the dot. Awesome! The technician told me what I needed and how much it would cost. He performed the tune-up and my garage door never sounded so nice and quiet. If you have garage door issues you would be foolish not to use this company! A+ work! Will recommend to my family and friends!

Returned from vacation to find our garage door wouldn't open due to a broken spring in the original Wayne Dalton torque unit. Called one vendor first thing in the morning, never received a call back. Called Mike at Grand Opening at noon, he called back within the hour and we had a appointment scheduled for less than 24 hours later. The technician was on time, explained everything, and done within the hour. We decided to replace the bar with a more robust unit and heavy-duty spring that we expect will last longer. He cleaned up everything and the door works great!

My rental townhouse had a lightening strike which took out several appliances and the garage door opener. The service technician came right away to give me an estimate and detected scorch marks on the circuit board. He pointed out there could be other damage and this old Genie might be better replaced. To save me money they were willing to try a replacement circuit board (which I paid for separately) before installing a new system. They came out a second time and replaced the board and everything worked fine! Great service, extremely accommodating and an unbeatable price. I highly recommend Grand Openings!

These guys were super honest, efficient etc. Had plenty of opportunities to up-sell me on newer equipment etc, but thought I could get some more life out of my current system. Owner came out to look at my setup and consult with a few neighbors on my recommendation as well. Looking forward to future garage door problems so these guys can save the day!

My garage door closed on top of my car recently, of course no fault of my own as the door did it all by itself, and I bent the metal bar connecting the garage door opener to the door. Result: Door still opened and closed but would always stop 2 inches off the ground. I'm sure that's just enough space for a feral cat to take up residence in my garage during my work hours so I decided to call for an estimate on getting the garage door section repaired. First company I called came out (but was late) and decided that instead of just fixing my door that they'd try to sell me an all new one. I guess they figured, who couldn't use a brand new $500+ garage door to brighten their life? Answer: This person. I made a second call for an estimate and the owner picked up the phone. Wasn't expecting that. And he had a sense of humor. Double win. He was booked on Friday when I called but volunteered to come out at a time that worked for me on Monday. With that it was Grand Openings to the rescue! The owner showed up ON TIME, during the 1-hour window that he promised, and he was professionally dressed and polite...I notice these things. I immediately started my antics about the door - it's been in a bad place emotionally since its accident - and he got to work on trying to fix the broken bar at the top of my garage door. Not even 20 minutes later I had a working door - yes, the same door I had grown to love not a brand new $500 one - and when I mentioned the death squeals my door likes to do while opening and closing those were promptly taken care of as well. I won't miss the squeals or the rat door that I "built in" to my door by busting the bar. Plus I'm sure my door feels better...at least it's not complaining audibly anymore. Excellent experience, excellent pricing, and I will absolutely call them again - not that I'm planning the next doomsday scenario for my garage door already. Highly recommended!

Showed up early, spent a lot of time checking over things and answering my many questions. Noticed one of the brackets that was keeping the rollers from falling from the garage ceiling was missing and replaced free of charge. Thank goodness! Couldn't have had a better experience. Plan on using them whenever in need of service for the garage door.

Mike is great. He fixed an issue with our old garage door opener (spring, I think), and when that one finally broke down completely, replaced it with a new one that is quiet and has a external keypad. Mike is always punctual, honest, and does great work. He also has great stories about playing with his band for celebrities. Ask him about Shaun White. :) I wouldn't think of calling anyone else for garage door issues/installations.

Mike is great. He had helped me prior over the phone with an issue with my garage door at my old house and helped me repair it with some over the phone advice at no charge - so when we purchased a new home in Durham a few weeks ago, I knew he would be the person I would hire to come out and tune up our garage door. During our inspection, our door had failed all of the standard safety tests. Mike was able to adjust the door so that it ran better and auto-reversed without excessive pressure, etc.... he's very knowledgeable and overall just a nice guy. I will certainly hire him again in the future if the need arises.

Fabulous. Called him a few months later with a new (small) garage door problem, and he came out promptly and adjusted it for free. My aging door is working really well, and I appreciate the great customer service. When it's time to replace the door, they'll have my business.

When my garage door quit working, I usedI Angie's List to contact Grand Openings Garage Door LLC. Technician Mike Ropelewski responded and quickly diagnosed the problem as a shortage in the wiring. He repaired the wiring and adjusted the spring and In less than 30 minutes, he had my garage door operating smoothly and efficiently. In the future, whenever I have a problem with my garage door, Grand Openings will be my first call.

Really quite impressed. I called in the morning and Mike was able to work me into their schedule that day. I got a call from Matt to let me know he was on the way. When he got here, he talked me through what needed to be done and completed the work quickly. He let me know what I needed to do to maintain the new springs and my system is as good as new.

The service provider was very responsive. He was able to respond and fix my garage door on the same day that I called. The provider arrived on time and fixed the door in less than one hour.

These guys were absolutely the BEST! I was having some intermittent problems with the door not shutting sometimes. I just thought it needed a "tune up", but it turned out I had a loose connection at one of the floor points. Also, and unknown to me, the ceiling mount was failing and would have caused me problems down the road, so they fixed that as well. This was over - and beyond - the call of service!!! In fact, they could have let it fail, and then I'd have had to call them back to fix it - but NO! They saw a potential problem and fixed it BEFORE it would happen!! While there, they also did what I paid them to do, which was oil and lube everything! The door now runs like a charm! I'm very satisfied and would definitely use this company again!! And highly recommend them.

Our garage door broke over the weekend. We called Grand Openings Garage Door LLC on Monday morning and they came out that very afternoon and fixed our garage door that was off its track. They also fixed the tension within the springs and replace the rollers, as well. Now our door opens with ease. There were no hidden charges and were very professional and friendly. We recommend them highly !
