Economy Exterminators

I originally just purchased a one-time spray, but they were so thorough I opted for a monthly service. It's the best decision I've made in years. They have been coming regularly throughout the summer for three years and I have yet to see a single pest since their service started. Best $60 a month every summer I've ever spent.

I called Economy Exterminators because there were mice in the crawlspace. Joe Teichman, the sales representative, was very helpful and knowledgable. He examined the problem. He clearly explained EE's services. I decided to have the crawlspace vents sealed, mouse stations installed in the crawlspace, shed and attic, and have the outside, shed and attic sprayed. I decided to not sign a contract because I cannot afford it. I think the quality of the work was excellent. Two technicians took care of the sealing of the vents. Another technician installed the mouse stations and sprayed. He examined underneath the sinks and walked around the outside my townhouse. He pointed out three other problems, which I will take care of in the future. I highly recommend Economy Exterminators.

See above. Then they also went into the crawl space to check for termites and to try to see how the mice were getting in the house.

They were professional and thorough. They made recommendations to further seal the home from critters. Did not push other services but explained how I can deal with critters myself.

He was great. Arrived right on time. He even bought a light bulb at Home Depot to replace the one that didn't work. Cleaned up everything. I was very pleased. Thanks !!!

Overall, it was a good experience. The scheduling process was easy, they arrived on time, and they were responsive when I asked them to return and lay additional traps. Unfortunately, the traps weren't effective, and I felt as though I overpaid since the traps were simply wooden and spring-loaded like the ones found in Wal-Mart which sell for a dollar.

Eventually, it went very well. The big deal was fine except that they missed the termite infestation. They came back and took care of it. They gave us a significant discount. They did a good job eventually. We didn't have any problems. They're straightforward and they did the inspection. I called them back when I found something suspicious and they took care of the termites.

We have used this company for over 10 years and have been pleased. We signed a contract and they are here within 24 hours the few times we have called them. Professional and friendly staff. I recommend this company to everyone.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was perfect. I gave them a very high rating. I called them yesterday and I just got back from Florida. I’d been gone for 3 months and all the mice have gone. My son found one dead in the house and one dead in the shed. So now there’s no more. They told me what to do to fix the problem and not the traps, where the mice were coming in which was ideal. I was very impressed with their professionalism. They came once and if I wanted more, I would have paid more but I didn’t need it. They were punctual and professional. The two of them came as a team. They walked the entire house inside out, and in the shed and they told me exactly how to fix it. They told me where the problem was and where the mice were getting in from. I asked them not to put out poison except in one spot and they did and it worked because the poison got one and the trap got the other. They achieved what I wanted to happen. I just saw the deal and I knew I had mice problem, and I decided to try them. I didn’t do any comparison whatsoever with regard to the price. I assume it’s a good price. The quality of work is excellent. There was not a single problem. They were very receptive to my questions and my comments. It was good. I highly recommend them. They know what they’re doing and they don’t mess around. They come in and check the problem, and see where it is and fix it.

They were polite and knowledgeable. I signed a contract with them. Still pleased.

Michael and Andrew were both very pleasant and knowledgeable. They were prompt and affective and helped in every way to alleviate the problem.

The scheduling of the appointment was very smooth. The technician and a sales person arrived on time. The tech asked if I was having any rodent problems and I said I was not that I had purchased the service for him to check and make sure there were no areas where rodents could get into my house. While I signed the Work order and listen to a sales pitch for regular exterminating services, the tech walked around downstairs and from what I could he was opening lower cabinet doors. He then when upstairs and then up in the attic. He was back downstairs and ready to leave in less than 5 minutes from the time he arrived. He said he saw no activity but he had seen some very old activity in the attic so he placed several mouse traps up there. I asked him why he put mouse traps in the attic if he had seen no recent activity of mice and he said to be on the safe side. I told him I did not want traps in the attic unless he was planning to come back and check them on a regular basis. I asked him to replace them with something that a mouse would eat and then go away and die. He didn't seem to want to do that but he did. I asked him several times if he saw any places that looked like problem areas where a mouse could get it and he just repeated that he didn't see any recent activity. Even with replacing the mouse traps with poison blocks he was going out the door in less than 15 minutes from the time he arrived. I assumed he was going to check around the outside of the house for potential problem areas but he got in his truck and left. I was glad to hear that he saw no recent activity of mice but disappointed in the service in general. I have no idea where he looked or really what he did as he was in and out rather quickly.

While inspecting out house, they also noticed that our HVAC vent had fallen down in our crawl space and informed us - which was a great help since we never go into that corner of our crawl space. They also noticed that we had a portable dehumidifier in our basement - and recommended that we get a permanent one that is more effective and safer. Just information and no real pressure to buy. Both a company rep and a service tech came to our house and both were very professional and polite.

I would use them again for any extermination needs and am very pleased to have found them.

They were very professional and thorough. However, we wanted a company that could removed squirrels. The description of services was rodent control. Squirrels are rodents. But the actual contract they brought with them said no squirrels. We would have not purchased this deal if the up front description had said what the services available really were.

This was my first experience with Angie's List. I needed help with an ant problem & was able to utilize a coupon for discount services as well the very same day! What a terrific introduction for Angie's List. ( I've meant to leave feedback & just never seemed to take the few minutes to do so ) I would definitely work with Economy Exterminators again & highly recommend them to my friends & family.

Our experience with Economy Exterminators was outstanding. They were very responsive in setting up our appt. for an estimate and Mike from Economy Exterminators should up promptly and was very professional and informative in what he found and what he recommended. We signed up that day...the $50 Angies List coupon helped, but we would have signed up without it. A week later they came to perform the first application. They were on time and were very cautious as they performed interior application which we had to be out of the house for 3 hours for safety reasons. It was raining that day so they said they would have to come back to put the application down on the exterior. A few days later they came, notified us they were there and performed the work without any impact to our schedule. Great product + great customer service = happy customer...I am very pleased with them.

Two technicians came out and examined the problem, decided on a treatment, put out traps and did some spraying. Had to leave the house for three or four hours. They took care of the problem.

Three people came out on the call. Very polite and professional; suggested one course of action. Would like to have had more options to proceed. I feel they probably know their business and may do a good job but will look for more choices on remedy.

It turned out very well. I spent an additional $100.

I contacted the company by e-mail. They called me. We scheduled estimate. Person came. Estimate was for $1,200 in addition to the $200.

No surprises. The service was on time at the contracted rate. Would use them again.
