Arrived on time - did the work and cleaned up - very well overall experience.

The arborist was very knowledgeable and provided expert advice to our questions. We received quotes from four different companies and even though CS wasn't the lowest, we felt the most comfortable with them doing the job right. The day of the job, the crew arrived right on time and kept us informed of the progress. Everything was done quickly and safely and everything was cleaned up very well. We are very satisfied and will definitely use them in the future.

The large sycamores were close to our house and a neighbors house. They had gotten too large and literally loomed over the houses and were dropping leaves, branches and bark onto the roofs. Removal was complicated by the location of the trees which were blocked from a direct approach from the street by other large trees and the slope of the land. A large crane was a necessity but the only approach was through my neighbors front yard. Power lines in the street also complicated the job. The CS crew was most impressive. They had obviously worked as a team for a long time. They took extreme care when positioning and setting up the crane to not damage my neighbors lawn by placing an abundance of heavy plywood sheets and plastic pads. After the trees were gone they spent a considerable amount of time doing a meticulous cleanup of my yard and, most importantly, my neighbors yard. Everything looks great.

It was quite the show. Brought in a crane and made expert work of removing the tree. Included grinding the remaining stomp along with a cherry-picker truck which trimmed the tree in the front. Professional and definitely knew what they were doing. Cleaned up afterword and hardly knew they were there.

Very pleased with this service. I called on a Monday, Steven came out to give me an estimate on Tuesday and sent me an estimate within the hour. On Wednesday, I told Steven I wanted to hire them, and they came out that morning to complete the work. Initially, Steven told me it might take a few weeks to get out and complete the work, but I told him I needed it done sooner than later, so they fit me in that day. Their price was equivalent to another service I got a quote from, and $50 less than a third service. Steven was very pleasant to talk with and responsive to my emails. While he was at the house for the estimate, he also gave me some advice on a tree I was concerned about. He told me it didn't need to come down, even though I thought maybe it did, which made me happy that he wasn't just trying to sell a service I didn't need. They seemed to do a good job with the stump grinding. The area is flat with a bunch of wood mulch, which is what I expected since I didn't ask them to take away the mulch. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience.

Very well. They did it within one afternoon, and answered all of our questions.

They were great. The quote was higher than we expected but "supply and demand" after a storm was likely the cause. They carefully removed the tree and then went back up onto the roof to give us a general idea of the damage. Also, they left the mulch from the chipper for us!

The team arrived on schedule. The removal was professional and well done with good cleanup. They had to bring a crane down the driveway to do the job, and provided protection for the concrete to prevent any damage. Chris discussed how they would need to use the crane and bring the branches and trunk into the front yard for removal. The team was careful not to damage a Japanese Maple that was close to the drop zone for the branches and trunk. We were very pleased with their services and the reasonable price.

Scheduled a meeting to provide an estimate for replacement of 20+ trees. No one showed and no call to advise me that the meeting was cancelled. When i called, I was told that i can be scheduled again in 3 weeks. I understand when a company gets busy but there is a right way and a wrong way to handle these situations. Not having time to call to let me know is a poor excuse.

Kevin from CS was responsive and got back to me immediately with a price. I signed contract that day and he indicated he would get back to me quickly to set up a date. Two weeks later I received an email wanting me to rate the work they had done. When I called the office I was told the email was a mistake and that they were all caught up with the work from Hurricane Matthew (my initial contact was 1 week before the storm.) I was told they would contact in several weeks... or later... to set up a date. Without the "or later", it would have been a month already from the initial contact.

We contacted CS about removing some large diseased trees from our heavily wooded yard, as well as trimming a number of limbs overhanging our roof. Steven was quick to come out and give us a thorough, detailed and reasonable estimate. (We solicited 4 estimates for the job.) Before we could schedule the work, Hurricane Matthew sent a large white oak from our neighbor's yard crashing over on our roof. The tree was not stable on the roof and presented a somewhat precarious situation. CS responded quickly to my call. Steven came out the next day (Sunday) to survey the situation and Chris and their amazing crew showed up the next day and went to work. This was an incredible team of professionals. With a huge crane, a bucket truck, a chipper shredder, dump truck and bobcat, these guys worked like a well-oiled machine. In six hours, they expertly removed three large trees (one mostly dead and unstable and one propped against the house with 40 or so feet of branches lying on our roof). They cut and hoisted huge -- tree-sized -- limbs, threading a needle up and over the house and through a maze of trees and power lines and down onto the street where their crew made quick work of cutting and shredding all the debris. They beautifully protected our landscaping, driveway and even some sculpture. They picked up every twig and blew off the roof and driveway, leaving barely a trace that they had even been there. The whole crew was professional and courteous. It was an absolute pleasure to do business with CS Tree Services!

CS Tree Services does efficient, quality work. Although the cost was higher than I imagined it would be, Steve (estimator and arborist) was very thorough in his explanations and gave me a few options. I like that their certified arborists care about the health of the trees in addition to the needs of the client. Their crew was very professional and made quick and clean work of removing a giant dead pine.

Awesome company. Steve did the estimate, and he's a very kind and knowledgeable arborist. If I have any further tree work, I no longer have to shop around, I just go directly to CS tree service.

Just in case you don't want to read all the details, here is the bottom line: CS TREE SERVICES, INC., IS AWESOME! DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THEM! Steven Kurtz, came out to our house not once, but again at my request, to discuss all of our needs to clear an area for installation of a pool. But, while here, we walked around and discussed some additional pruning, etc. I asked him to come back because we were concerned about a couple of large oak trees that we really wanted to spare and he gave us some excellent advice and we made a few changes to the original plan. Once our HOA approved our project, I let him know and he scheduled two days for our project. On the scheduled day, a crew of about 7 arrived first thing in the morning along with a large crane, a chipping machine, a truck to haul away logs, some smaller pieces of equipment, and tools including safety gear and communication devices. It was clear right from the start that each member of this team knew what their role was and played it well. Impressively well. My husband and I watched from the deck as one of the crew was hoisted up to the treetop by the crane, attached the tree to the crane, then lowered back to the ground to saw the tree off its roots. Then the crane lifted the trees one by one up over our shrubs and crape myrtles to the road where the treetops were fed into the chipper and the logs cut and loaded onto the truck. While some were engaged in this activity, other crew members went about the business of pruning, reducing, and removing other trees and shrubs. Near the end of the clearing we identified 4 additional trees to be removed and they took care of it. All of this went on throughout the day, at times during periods of rain...and sometimes the rain was more than a light rain! We thought maybe they would quit and return the next day as 2 days were originally scheduled for this job, but they just kept on working. They only took one short lunch break. The job was done in one day, and done exceedingly well. One holly tree at the front of our house was "reduced" in height and did not look very good...aesthetically speaking. We thought maybe it still needed some shaping that was overlooked...which, given the amount of work, the weather, and the location of this tree, was completely understandable. I emailed a photo of this tree to the owner and he replied (quickly as always) that the tree would now fill out at the top and ultimately look better. But, the next morning, a crew was in the area and, because they saw my email, they stopped by to check with us to make sure we were happy with everything. That, in our opinion, is the best customer service we have ever experienced...and we've dealt with many, many contractors over the years. These people are highly professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone and CS Tree Services will be our go-to for any and all tree needs.

We called CS tree service to give us an estimate on removing several tall pines, a huge tulip poplar and two very large oaks. Steve was prompt and spent at least an hour going over the property with us. As we pointed out the trees we wanted removed, I expected him to say that certain trees were going to be problematic. In every case, he assured us that it could be done. After a few hours, he had emailed with an estimate and an aerial view of the property identifying the trees to be removed. I asked a few questions about the estimate and got a reply. We scheduled two full days for the work, two weeks out. Crew of 6 and two trucks arrived on the appointed morning. After a review and discussion of the job, they immediately went to work. Starting along the front of the property, they adeptly removed massive pine trees without disturbing any under-story trees like dogwoods and redbuds. They made short work of the front set and then moved down the driveway to get another pine and a massive tulip poplar. At the end of the first day, they started on the giant oak. On the first day, neighbors were so impressed with the work that they were asked about removing pines on their properties. On the second day, they finished the largest oak and moved on to the second oak in the backyard. They were very careful and did not damage a nearby 25 year old cut-leaf Japanese maple. The made sure that the equipment would not crack the driveway or disturb the septic system. They also gave us as much chipped branches as we wanted to use for mulching our gardens. They cleaned the drive-way of any debris. The professionalism of the team was impressive. I cannot recommend them enough.

Well, we had our trees trim in the past and they were just chopped off the way you see some crape myrtles done. We did not want it done that way this time. We searched Angie's list and came up with CS. Steve Kurtz came out and spent about an hour plus with my husband going over how he would trim the trees. It appeared that his plan is exactly what we wanted. He said trimming the trees this way would allow us to go 2 or 3 years without needing trimming. So we did use his service and was please at the outcome. Now we will see how the look over the next 2 years. We did feel the price was a bit high but went with it. His crew arrived on time, very polite and professional and did a good job including clean up.

They were on time and actually a little early, did a great job and cleaned up well afterwards. I highly recommend their services to others and their prices are very competitive.

Steve came out promptly on the day that we had an appointment, and spent an hour looking at our trees and evaluating what needed to be done. Within a couple of hours, he had emailed me a detailed estimate of what it would cost, depending on what they found when they got up into one of the two trees; we were concerned that the tree (a VERY large water oak) might have to be removed. When I asked a question about the estimate, he responded immediately with a clarification, and we made an appointment to have the work done. CS was nice enough to work us in asap because of work that is going to be done on our house. Chris and a crew of two trucks and 5 workers arrived promptly on the day of our appointment and went to work immediately. Within two hours, they had trimmed both trees, each of which are over 80' high, removed all the dead limbs and chipped them up, cleaned our yard and walkway, and were finished. Impressively, they charged me the LEAST that the estimate had allowed for and gave the water oak a clean bill of health. Based on tree work that I've had done before, their price was very reasonable, and their professionalism was impressive. Can't recommend them highly enough!

This provider was absolutely wonderful. They did an awesome job. When I first looked outside I was concerned about the mess but when I looked out after they were done it was like they were never there. Excellent job cleaning up! They rented special equipment to ensure that they could get up to the trees, have better control and used ropes to ensure where the trees landed. Both of the trees that they worked on were over two others trees that I didn't want damaged. They took such great care to ensure nothing went wrong.

It went great! They came out for a quote very quickly. They were also able to work us in quickly since the tree was rotten. They were professional and fast. Cleaned up nicely! I plan on using them again.

It was very good. They cleaned up and left us with some wood chips and logs cut to blanks that we can use and cleaned up the rest. They left a reasonably clean area. They were prompt, professional and we didn't have any problems with them at all.

The crew to the man were professional. They removed all the trees, ground the stumps and left the area looking even and neat. They used mats to protect our turf and finished the job in about 3 hours. It all exceeded our expectations.
