Excellent service from start to finish. We're clearing out our back yard to make a play area for the kids, so we needed to get rid of a couple of trees and a bunch of old stumps. One of the owners came out for an estimate, which he gave us at that time. He also gave us a copy of their insurance info, which for this small a job wasn't really necessary but I thought showed that they are thorough in their jobs. Two guys came out a few days later, did the job and cleaned up. They took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was satisfied before they left. This company was great to work with, I will definitely use them again.

Their work was fantastic. There wasn?t a little twig left on the ground after they cleaned up. They were very professional, very polite, and they were on time. I?ve been having trouble finding people that are this reliable. I already have them on my calander to call next year to have them check some trees. They are also arborists which not all tree companies are.

The service was great. Very responsive with call backs and scheduling. C & S arrived as scheduled. They did everything we talked about when they estimated the job plus they did some additional trimming as the work progressed. Good job of being careful around the house, a great job of cleaning up after the job was completed.

This was the first time I used this company, but it will not be the last! I chose CS Tree Service based on all of the superior reviews from other people's experience on Angie's List. I set up an appointment with Steve who came by, on time, a few days later to look around, understand what exactly I wanted and to write up an estimate. The price was reasonable, especially so with the 10% discount. Steve and his crew showed up right on schedule, reviewed with me what they were going to do - to double check - and proceeded to do a great job. No complaints/concerns whatsoever. All of his team were friendly and professional. They also cut down a few additional branches, that were not in the original estimate, at no charge. They cleaned up everything they cut down - as well as multiple small limbs that had fallen off during the winter season. I would highly recommend them to all - they DESERVE their EXCELLENT RATING.

After seeing great reviews on Angie's List, I contacted CS Tree Service for an estimate. I also got a couple of other bids. Steve's bid was the lowest. However, he was the only one who said he would need to come through the back of my yard...which meant dismantling part of my fence (a split rail fence backed with coated wire). This concerned me as the fence is for my dogs and I didn't want it mess it up. I discussed this issue with Chris who told me that they deal with fences regularly and that they would leave my fence in as good or better shape than how they found it. So, because of the low bid and the good reviews, I decided to go with CS Tree Service. I'm so glad I did! They were delayed two days because of rain, but they communicated with us in a timely fashion. Chris and his crew arrived promptly on the day of service and were finished in about 4 hours. My yard looks great! As noted above, they took down a 4th small pine for free. Also, we had a bunch of debris...branches and very small trees that had fallen...and Chris got rid of it all without charging extra! He even picked up some branches that had fallen off my dead pine into my neighbor's yard! Given the exemplary service, the perfect handling of my fence and the 10% Angie's List coupon, I am beyond satisfied. I recommend CS Tree Services highly...and if you have a fence, don't worry. Chris and Steve will give it TLC!

I think they did a fantastic job from start to finish. I first made an appointment for an estimate - Steve Kurtz came out to my house and was very professional and knowledgeable - he quickly understood what I was looking for, was able to advise me on items I wasn't sure about, and quickly put together a comprehensive and detailed estimate of what needed to be done. When I decided to contract with them, Steve set up an appointment to have the work done but warned me that the date might need to be changed if there were any problems with the weather. A few days before the work was due to be done, Steve called me and told me that the weather forecast didn't look good for the planned date so could he come and get it done on the previous day? That was a real pleasant surprise; one would usually expect a delay in such a situation! On the morning that the work was to be done, Steve and his crew arrived very punctually. They went about their work in a very efficient and professional manner with minimal noise, and within a few hours the work was finished. I was really pleased with the quality of work they did - all the cuts were neat and unobtrusive and the trees they had trimmed substantially looked really great and did not have a lopsided or shorn look to them. They even threw in the spot trimming of the crepe myrtles, which we had discussed but which had not been included in the original estimate. When they were done, they cleaned up the entire work area and left it spotless condition (much cleaner than it had been when they came!). In summary, I would definitely use them again if I need such services and I would highly recommend them to others. It is a pleasure to work with a quality company like this.

After living in our house for ten years, both the original trees planted by the builder as well as the existing trees on the lot had grown out of control. After watching an episode of "Ask This Old House" on this topic, my wife and I searched Angie's List for an arborist, as we felt they would be the most knowledgeable when it came to pruning and trimming. Based on the recommendation from Angie's List, we called CS Tree Services to schedule a consultation. One of the two owners/partners -- Steven -- arrived on time and patiently walked around our yard to survey the work that needed to be done. Steven answered all our questions and presented us with an estimate, along with a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance. We accepted the quote, and scheduled a day for their team to come out and do the work. Today was the day that Chris -- Steven's business partner -- and a crew of three or four arrived precisely on time. Chris walked around the house with my wife and me and went over the plan. After about three hours they had completed the work. Chris asked us to walk around the yard with him to evaluate the work he and his team had done. We were pleased well beyond our expectations. Our yard is back under control and all the trees look perfect once again. We highly recommend CS Tree Services because of the high quality of their work, their reasonable price, and their knowledge of trees, plants, and landscaping.

They are wonderful. They called me back the same day that I called them. They came out to inspect my property in a timely and professional way. They are going to do a lot of work for a very good price. They are very very professional. They are scheduled to come out and complete the work in a couple of weeks. I have so far had an A+ experience working with them.

We got them off of Angie’s List and looked at the references. I called the gentleman out, and he came and gave us an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. The first thing he did was present me with his insurance policy, which I appreciated. He gave me a copy of that along with his proposal. At first, he told me that he couldn’t schedule me till the 26th of October, and so I said that he could call me if there was a cancellation. He called the next day and said that he had a crew that worked exclusively for the school system. Since they didn’t have anything to do for the school, he sent that crew and truck over. They came early actually and got right with it. They had a thing to grind up mulch and everything and throw it in the back of the truck. The clean up was unbelievable - they even blew the leaves off my driveway. They did a great job. They were in and out in about 3 hours. When you figure that they had the equipment and that the crew was about 6 people, I thought that the price was fair. He had all English speaking workers too, and so you knew that they weren’t shaving on labor. They were very professional. There was a young man that was in-charge of the crew. When they were done, he walked around with me, and I made suggestions, and they took care of that and cleaned it up. I would rate them highly. I probably would use him in another couple of years.

They were very good and the crew that came out was excellent. They were very impressive, very efficient, asked questions when appropriate and responded very quickly to our question and our requests. The price was also good.

Maple tree was saved. Additional work was performed on 4-5 other trees on property; mostly pruning/shaping. Came home as job was being finished up - great job and great clean up.

They are the best. They provide good service. Nobody could do the job any better than they do. Their price is reasonable for the work they do.

Chris was very responsive. He informed me that they were booked for the next 2 weeks for removal but would be able to come out the next day to provide an estimate. He called me when he was on site doing the estimating to ensure he understood my expectations for the work. He even offered to clear away the debris from the tree that lost it's top in the storm. His estimate was the lowest of the 4 estimates I received. But more important than that, he provided the most information about how the work would be done. I was very happy that C&S was going to be able to do the removal without bringing heavy equipment into my yard. Chris and his crew arrived when they said they would and left the job site cleaner than it was when they arrived.

CS Tree Services returned my call regarding the tree removal promptly. They showed up to provide an estimate at the appointed time. They then provided a quotation while they were on site (and their insurance certificate without prompting). When they performed the service on the appointed time - I actually didn't even know they had come and gone. They felled the tree and cleaned up so well after themselves - so much so I didn't even realize they had completed the job!

He came by the next day to do an assessment and provide an estimate.The crew arrived on time and did an excellent job.They were very professional, the yard was clean and had no damage to the grass. We absolutely will use his services again and will highly recommend this company.

Everything went without a hitch. I was impressed with the systematic removal of these two trees and I am happy with the result. I thought they did an OK job with cleanup. There was a little more debris than I would have liked that remained stuck in the upper limbs in the adjacent dogwoods, I removed most of that the next day with a 24' pole. Also, there was some damage to my landscape lighting wiring which I observed some of the workers noticing but did not acknowledge to me. This was a $5 repair so I just took care of it. Given the price and the effort I didn't feel it was necessary to bring this up with the crew that day. Finally, twice they had to re-schedule for this job, which was a minor annoyance but did not really affect my situation or my regard for the job they did.

I wanted to get a certified arborist to take a look at my heavily-wooded lot and give me opinions about what I should do about all the trees, especially near the house. After checking Angie's List, I called CS Tree Services and Steve came out on Saturday morning to take a look and give me his advice. I knew I wanted to remove a tree that was very close to the house, but Steve gave me some great advice on what to look for and pointed out the large beech tree with the rotting top. After talking about my options, I decided which trees to cut down (the dead beech top and 3 others). We scheduled a time on Monday morning for his crew to come out, and Steve gave me a written estimate of $625 along with a copy of his liability insurance certificate (before I could ask). They arrived on time and all 4 members of the team, including Steve, promptly went to work. I had decided to add some smaller trees to the list of trees to remove, and Steve agreed to take them down too for very reasonable additional cost of $75. Steve was in the cherry picker doing the painstaking work of removing the dead section of the beech, starting at the top and working his way down. The rest of the team went to work on the other trees, dropping them in narrow gaps by the house and cutting them in sections to take up front to the chipper. They blew the chips right where I asked, and cleaned up the work areas with rakes and a wheelbarrow. The whole job, start to finish, took about two and a half hours of steady work. Everyone on the crew was very professional. I highly recommend them!

I called the company on Friday (3/6/09). Steven returned my called later in the day. He came by the next day to do an assessment and provide an estimate. I accepted the estimate and we set an appointment for Monday (3/16/09). He and his crew arrived on time and did an excellent job..

They arrived on time, cut down the trees, made wood chips, and dumped them in the spot I asked them to (I use the chips for paths). Very satisfied with the work. Their estimate was 100 less than the other estimate.

The company responded quickly to my call, gave me a written estimate and a copy of insurance coverage; after we agreed to the contract, they scheduled service within a week. All trimmings were cleaned up and the job well done.

Steve came out and gave a detailed & free estimate in advance. When I chose them, they came with their crew promptly as scheduled and completed the work in less than 2 hours. I had contracted them to cut down & remove 3 trees and to grind down the stumps. While they were here, they decided to cut down another dead tree and grind that extra stump and 2 others for no additional charge. They cleaned away all the cut wood, were friendly and professional throughout. The price was exactly as quoted, minus 10% for the Angie's List coupon discount I requested. I was very pleased with the results and would happily use them again for any further tree cutting needs.

Steven was contacted to give an estimate on the trees. Someone arrived in a timely fashion to look at the trees. However, it took three days for the owner to give me the estimate in writing. The company did very nice work. The price that was on the invoice was true to the estimate. The work crew did an excellent job cleaning up after the job. They also did a smaller job for another house without any notice or warning for a small fee.
