When lightning hit our roof, we had called another reconstruction company we had used after a pipe leak. Since our fire had made the morning news, Dave Potter stopped by to offer his services with CRC. We had the other company tarp our roof, but during the afternoon Chad Price had come to talk more about CRC. Our neighbor had told us his positive experience with CRC . By mid-afternoon , our house was swarming with CRC employees. The efficiency of the work, from the packing , the demolition, and the rebuilding was a marvel. Throughout the process, everyone was professional, kind and always seemed to enjoy their job. We can't thank them enough for making a traumatic experience as painless as possible.
Description of Work: CRC rebuilt our home after it was hit by lightning. When we got over our shock of the fire, and agreed to have them do the work Chad Price and Luke Wind set everything in motion. Within an hour or so, there were 20 people packing up the house and digging through the burned and wet debris searching for all of our special possessions. Our project manager, Dave, was wonderful. Throughout the entire process, Dave was always available. Every phone called was answered/returned, every email had a quick response. Tim took very good care of our household goods and even had some of our kitchen things delivered to our temporary lodgings. Luke spent at least an hour answering questions before the papers were signed. Bob spent several visits discussing the structuring of the house. When I had a concern about a subcontractor, after addressing it with Dave, I received a call from Wayne Baker (president). Mr. Baker was sincere in explaining that the actions of the subcontractor were not the way he wants CRC to be represented and assured me the incident would be handled. True to his word, he sent me the email he had sent to everyone in the company, the subcontractor would no longer be used at CRC. With our premium plan through our insurance company, CRC's work is guaranteed for 5 years from the move-in date. We have called them several times over the last few years and they remain professional, friendly and willing to help us. From Wayne Baker throughout the entire company (Chad , Luke, Ed, Tim, Lee, Bob, Alex and everyone I may have forgotten), CRC has always treated us with respect and patience.

Insurance company sent CRC out to asess damage and I agreed to hire them to do all the repairs. Their coordination was amazing and all workers were extremely polite and encouraging under a stressful situation. They moved me out and back in with no damage and repaired everything to my satisfaction. Brentwood Flooring did some carpet work for me and did an excellent job as well as putting down beautiful flooring!
Description of Work: I had water damage from a leak . I paid my dedictible and for some new carpet- insurance paid the rest. Dried out wet areas, tested for mold and dampness, replaced insulation under house, some drywall, wood floors and wood trim, painted walls and trim

My experiences have been very positive. It's one thing to use a company for commercial purposes and another to have them in your home. Their staff is the best and you know that you are their focus. upgrades to fixtures dI had a leak in my powder room which had hardwood floors. They came out immediately and diagnosed the problem. They have state of the art equipment and tested for moisture in the surrounding area, installed a commercial dehumidifier and after several days had a flooring specialist patch the floor in a way you would never know there was a leak. They recommended upgrades to fixtures so that the problem would not happen again and buttoned the whole thing up. Clean, respectful courteous, professional and efficient. You would never know I had a problem. I recommend these guys when disasters small of big occur.
Description of Work: Cary Reconstruction provides restoration and construction services. I have used them professionally for remediation and construction after a major fire and the gut renovation of apartment homes. Personally they have mitigated flood damage in my home using commercial dehumidifyers and re-doing hardwood flooring. They also provided plumbers and electricians to replace fixtures and appliances. They do it all.

It went very well - much better than we expected, honestly. It was an overwhelming project, and it wasn't without bumps here and there, but CRC was always ready and willing to make things right for us. They did everything in their power to give us a house that wasn't "as good" as it was before - it was actually better. Wes, our project manager, was a great young man who really gave 110 percent to our project. Luke and the other managers in the corporate office did a good job of spelling out how the reconstruction would go, let us know what to expect, and did a good job communicating timeline, deliverables, fees, etc. When the project began in late April, they promised us we would be back in our house before the kids started school in late August. We moved in on August 17. Thanks Cary Reconstruction - you turned a nightmare into a distant memory, and gave us a great new house in the process.
Description of Work: Our attic caught fire on a Sunday afternoon in April, 2010. Furtunately, we were home at the time and everyone made it out without injury. The house wasn't so lucky. The interior was completely destroyed, and the exterior needed quite a bit of work, too. CRC basically sliced the gutted attic and roof off the house, tore the interior down to the studs, and started again. Oh, and they did water mitigation and treated the house for smoke damage/smell, also.

I just want to express my appreciation for the quality of work performed by the folks at Cary Reconstruction Company (CRC) -- during a time that could have been very difficult. I know that "anyone" can come into your house and perform the work that was done. However, not just "anyone" could have done it as professionally and efficiently as CRC did. I can attribute that quality to their Project Manager, Rick Sargent. I must say that Rick was on top of everything that needed to be done from the very beginning. He orchestrated every detail and made the whole process painless for us, even though we had to move out of our house for five days. I still marvel at how well he coordinated everyone to be in place on the right day, at the right time, even when dealing with other companies. I know how hard it is to coordinate with just one person, but Rick was able to make everything happen just as he said it would. All of the work teams that were in my house were very professional and respectful of my belongings and treated them with care. I truly appreciate how great they all were. I never asked Rick a question that he did not have the answer to, or wasn't able to get the answer to be in a timely manner. And when he responded, he responded with kindness and patience...ALWAYS!!! He also followed up on every loose end and detail. I will always keep Cary Reconstruction Co. at the top of my list should we ever need assistance again and I will ALWAYS ask that Rick Sargent be my Project Manager. He is a keeper FOR SURE!!!!

All work was done punctually and professionally. The only problem was that they had to remove and replace the insulation in the crawlspace under the kitchen to facilitate drying. On a subsequent inspection, it was found that the insulation was not fulling installed - meaning, brackets were missing and there were gaps in the insulation.
Description of Work: We had the experience with a slow leak behind the refrigerator following painting our kitchen. Water had been leaking into the drywall and under the hardwood for 3 weeks before we realized it. Steered to CRC by our homeowners insurance, we selected them for the recovery effort. They swooped in on a Saturday to begin the drying-out process and coordianted the recovery effort, which ultimately required replacing the hardwood.

The mitigation team responded quickly and professionally, putting a quick stop to the damage... Marcus Ladd and Ryan Boone headed up the team that arrived first at the scene. Drew McDonald gave us an estimate for the project and contacted our insurance company. Greg Brown was assigned as the project manager for the reconstruction project itself. Everyone who came out to help us did such a good job! We can't say enough about Greg and his ability to coordinate and schedule all the trades and services that put our house back in order. He communicated with us throughout the project and kept us up to speed about the company's cooperation with our insurance company. CRC should be proud of their dedicated restoration team! While I hope none of my friends ever need their services, I know who I'll be recommending if they do! Professionalism and courtesy are hallmarks of the people we were lucky enough to encounter from CRC.

Description of Work: They had to reconstruct after water damage, the master bedroom and hall bath. Everything went very well and the work was done sooner than expected. The service was really, really excellent. I called them at 8:00 AM when my bathroom flooded. They were here by 11:00 AM. They matched the flooring that was already in my bathroom. It took them three days to put my house back together. They were very friendly. They were efficient. I recommend them. They matched all the colors perfectly. I feel like I have a new home. They used quality products. I would definitely use them again.

After Nate Mullins became our project manager, the repairs were completed professionally and with perfection. I have basically explained the story in the previous comment area. The painters, carpenters, plumbers and electricians did everything beautifully. I am very happy with the end results. The only problem I had was the original project manager who was assigned by CRC and wouldn't do the work I wanted performed. We waited 3 1/2 months until Nate was assigned to replace the original project manager. He understood what I wanted and delivered it. I am extremely thrilled with the resulting work. Ask for Nate to be your project manager and you will be very happy with the results.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the wall of the attic stairs from the attic bathroom. The leak damaged 3 rooms and a bath. The attic and attic bath, the second floor bedroom and the dining room. The leak occurred on August 8th and the mitigation team came on August 9th and immediately opened holes in ceiling and walls. They used dehydrators for 10 days to dry out the wood and remaining dry wall. The project manager and I did not communicate well. I felt it was a good time to upgrade the bathroom tiles and vanity and I did not want the wallpaper replaced in the 3 rooms but wanted them painted instead. The project manager told me that they would only replace what was damaged with similar materials. They would not paint but would replace wallpaper with wallpaper. Due to the conflict in what I wanted and what he said CRC would replace, the holes remained open and the work came to a halt for 3 1/2 months. They wouldn't even replace the missing drywall. My husband finally told them that the project manager was no longer allowed to come to our house. A new project manager, Nate Mullins, was assigned. He walked me through the house and I told him exactly what I wanted. He was positive, pleasant and never told me that I was being unreasonable. He furnished the list of work that the insurance company would pay for as well as the cost of all the work I wanted done so I could determine the difference we would be responsible for. Nate was a gift from God. Sitting around the house with huge holes in the walls for over 3 months and with Christmas approaching, I was getting very upset. When Nate took over the job, it only took 2 weeks for the work to be completed. The teams stripped the wallpaper from 3 large rooms, primed them and painted them with 2 coats. He had the bathroom stripped of wallpaper and primed and rewallpapered (the only room I wanted wallpapered). He had the new toilet installed, the other plumbing completed and the electrical requirements finished. His teams were professional, polite and advised me as to what would look best or what should be done. He recommended a company to make a custom vanity and it worked out beautifully. I would use CRC again as long as Nate Mullins would be the Project Manager. He came every day and checked the work being done and he would tell me who was scheduled to come several days ahead of time. They all came on time and no lone left me waiting. If it wasn't for Nate we would have gone to another company. The results are beautiful. It came out exactly the way I wanted.

I can't say enough about Cary Reconstruction. Our hot water heater rusted out when we were out of town. Our neighbors found it Sunday morning when they came to take care of our dog. We called Cary Reconstruction from out of town and my neighbors said they came with a work crew within 20 minutes and spent many hours on a Sunday working to get the house dried out. The first responders were the water damage specialists. We had commercial fans in the house for a week followed by repairs to our floors, walls and ceilings. Once the house was dry it was turned over to one of the Project Managers at CRC to coordinate all the repairs. All of our repairs went very smoothly. I found CRC to be professional, responsive and they did excellent work. They would do whatever it took to get things done right. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They made a tough situation much easier with their responsiveness and attention to detail.
Description of Work: Repairs due to a hot water heater in the attic rusting out when we were out of town. Damage to all floors of our home. Repairs included flooring (carpet and hardwoods), dry wall, ceilings, etc. Fans ran for a week to dry everything out followed by repairs over a period of weeks to ceilings, floors and walls.

I couldn't be more pleased with them. They came in immediately and they assessed it. They did a thorough job in identifying what was needed. They put furnaces with plastic tubes inside the wall and ran fans for five days to make sure that everything was okay. I can’t tell one that how many details they looked at and made sure. They were addressing every detail that needed to be done. The tile, wall, ceiling, and carpets were all damaged and they replaced all of it and no questions asked. Everybody was super friendly and professional. We had to have them put a temporary stop on the work for some reason and they graciously interrupted the final step. They are coming back now to finish it. I interfaced with them just last week. It has been going on and off from September 2011 until now but interruption was at our request. Our insurance company covered the work; we only had to pay the deductible of $500. I got the best service possible. It was immediate, thorough, and well done. I would use them again without a doubt.
Description of Work: I last used CRC Co Inc They replaced tiles, a ceiling, a wall and carpets that were water damaged. They removed molds that had developed due to water. They did some patchwork on another ceiling. They are going to replace floor tiles in the bathrooms and the carpet in the landings.

I can not express how well CRC did! Above and beyond is the best!
Description of Work: My house was hit HARD by hurricane Irene and has mold due to water leaks and lots more. I have had trouble with other companies and was about to give up. Then I called CRC. They are very friendly and me having no clue about repairs to my home. I was walked through everything until I understood. The guys at CRC explained everything to me and went through all the damages. They told me what had to be done to make my home safe again for my family. I have 5 Children and the estimator that came to my home even talked (played) with my children. To be honest, me being a woman I was positive that I was going to be looked at like I had no clue. Boy was I WRONG! These guys know what they are doing and make sure you know what is going on. I would recommend them to everyone!

We had a roof leak. Not a big one, but we found it had been leaking for some time. The drywall on one of our garage walls as the garage ceiling began to show signs of water damage and perhaps mold. I call CRC specifically because that is supposed to be their specialty. When I talked to them, their first question was "have you filed an insurance claim". I explained I did not and probably would not unless the estimates came in a lot higher than I thought they would. A CRC rep came out for an estimate. The first thing they said was " we don't fix roofs". I thought they "restored" a home that suffed damage - you would think if you deal with water damage one of the services you would want to provide is roof repair. Anyway, the rep looked around and said they would get back. A couple days later they said the cost would be about $400. But they didn't want to do the job because it was not an "insurance job". Guess they just like big, insurance-bloated qoutes. They gave me some guys name that "did drywall". I asked about the possible mold, he they said I would have to find someone else to do that mold treatment. Overall, I was very disappointed in their response. They just seemed like they didn't really care about our job because it was beneath them to take a "small job". Guess I will never use them if I have a "big job" either.
