My experience with Cramer is he is dishonest. I have an older house that has lead-based paint on the exterior. I needed it fully scraped, disposed of properly, and repainted. This is a much bigger job than simply repainting the house, and so it costs a premium – the quote Cramer gave came in at was just over $10k (my house is ~1,300 sqft), which was similar to other quotes I had received. Cramer showed up the morning the project kicked off to pick up his first $5k check and I did not see him once after that. I later learned that, after cashing my check, he had gone to New Orleans with his girlfriend instead of supervising the project. The men actually doing the work wore no protective equipment, which struck me as concerning. When they left the scraped paint chips out overnight in the rain, I knew something was wrong. I asked the workers if Cramer had mentioned this was a lead-based paint removal project, and they said no. This negligent behavior puts his workers at risk. It puts my family at risk. It puts the neighborhood at risk. When I confronted Cramer about this issue, he took no accountability, and instead played it off like it was no big deal and even said “the lead-based paint hype is real.” Exposure to lead-based paint has been demonstrably shown to cause cancer and is particularly dangerous to pregnant women and infants. I later came to learn that Cramer never had a certification to remove lead-based paint at all – this can be looked up as a matter of public record. He had completely lied to me about his certification. And even if he had his certification – which he does not – he was not on-site once to supervise, which is required by law for a lead-based paint removal project. Finally, his guys started repainting the house after scraping off less than 10% of the paint. So on top of all the dishonesty, the work itself was unacceptable. I ended up firing him from the project and asking for my $5k back, minus the labor and materials that had already been spent. I’m still attempting to get an itemized receipt, but Cramer has gone completely unresponsive. He never returned any of my money. Stay away from this dishonest business at all costs.

I have never left a review like this before but dealing with Cramer at All American has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Nightmare from week one. Hired Cramer and "team" to do tearoff and replacement of siding and things could not have gone worse. Nobody on site, no supervision if/when someone did show up, rotten materials (literally the siding they were trying to use was rotten already) lack of knowledge and complete lack of honesty. Right now I am still owed $5,000 for returned materials months after I fired them and will have to take Cramer to court to collect. Just an unfortunate experience all around.

I had a great experience with All American Painters and General Contracting. I had them build an extension on my back porch to make a covered patio. They did excellent work, showed up on time and the job was done ahead of schedule. I changed the scope of the job after it was partially complete and they were able to accommodate my request no problem. I decided I wanted the entire inside of the roof finished and not left open with the wood. This required a significant change and even part of the roof over hang to be changed. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work. I now have an extension to my house that is amazing. From the paint, to the doors (switches from sliders to French), fan installation and being so accommodating, everything was simply fantastic.

Cramer and Mike are nice guys but they do not know how to run a business. They couldn't keep to the schedule so I never knew if they's show up when they said they would. Some days they worked late - some days they worked an hour and then went to another job. Had to have them re-do mulitple areas of sloppy work. Would not hire them again. They do not take pride in their work.

Prompt and efficient Kramer is Very thoughtful.

He is a real scam artist. Really nice during the quote and explains things about painting, acts like he knows what he is doing, invented a couple cool painting drop cloth things for stairs and ceilings (so he claims). Well, he doesn't do great work. He did some of the job, then could not finish in the time permitted. Chased him down for weeks, excuse after excuse, finally came back and did some more of the work. He went on and on during the quote about how he doesn't use the spray, only hand paints because the quality of the paint job is better with a brush, then he proceeds to spray gun paint the porch! Paint spray got on our outside furniture, natural porch floor, and screens. He left the job half done and has never come back. We repeatedly called him and he seems to just have given up and left us hanging. The color we picked out for the front door and shutters was not the color he used! Much lighter color than what we picked out. Very upset and disappointed.
