Anthony is his first name and he was absolutely wonderful. He is absolutely A-plus on everything. I had a forced air handler outside and he could have done something that would have let me keep the furnace but he gave all the options and told me all about each one. I replaced the furnace because I guess it was 13-14 years old. It was a big-ticket item for me but he did everything. He brought the paperwork for the reimbursement from Progress Energy and PSNC Energy and had it all filled out for me. He followed up with me. He was just wonderful.

Everything was done in a timely, efficient and excellent manner. I am extremely well pleased with their work and professionalism.

I have used Anthony's service twice now and am very happy with his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to explain in non-technical terms what he is seeing and/or doing. I was stunned at the excellent experience I had with A. Maynor. Words that come to mind are professional, competent, responsive, truthful and extremely fair pricing. A. Maynor Mechanical was the third quote I received on replacing a burned up circuit board on my gas furnace. The first two quotes were double the amount that I paid Mr. Maynor. I would eagerly hire him again without hesitation. I understand why he has a superior rating with Angie's List - it is well deserved.

I called on Monday. He is very busy right now, and told me that if I was unable to wait a couple of days, that he would be happy to provide me with some recommendations of other companies. I decided to wait, and he called me back on Tuesday as promised. We met at the house on Wednesday, and he was on time. My entire experience with Anthony left me with the impression that he is extremely professional and honest.

Owner, Anthony Maynor responded very quickly to my call. The weather was very hot. Anthony was not able to come out himself that day. Inasmuch as he likes to come out in person to meet new customers, because of the extreme heat, he offered to have his assistant provide service and provided me with infomation about his assistant's experience and level of skill. This was fine with me. David came and was, as promised, very skilled and professional. It took a while, maybe 45 minutes, to locate the problem. Then, once located, shortly afterward, the problem was fixed. David said that Anthony would check back with me in a few days - which he did - and evertything was still working well. I would highly recommend this provider, and his assistant, and I feel very lucky to have had this company's service.

Anthony did not find anything that would help us. Apparently we have a very good/clean system. That said, We think he is fabulous. He knows his stuff, and provided absolutely excellent service (via email, phone, and of course in person). We will be changing from our contracted a/c/heating company to Anthony as soon as I get the time to check our contract end date. Fabulous man - and I highly recommend him. I would suggest him for Page of Happiness - but I do not want our personal info listed in the magazine - for privacy reasons. But he does deserve this recognition.

This was the first time we called on Mr. Maynor, after several bad experiences with other companies. I was very satisfied; no questionable surprise repairs, just an honest service visit and some good advice. This is a small two man outfit, and one of the great advantages that I foresee is that I will be dealing with the same serviceman each time.

Anthony has always done outstanding work for us and this service was no exception. He is very professional. Always friendly, prompt, and very fair on his charges. Anthony always returns calls and has never disappointed us, often going out of his way to help us when we've had unusually difficult circumstances. I would never let anyone else service or work on our HVAC system. If you need any HVAC work call Anthony he is the absolute best!

Several months after purchasing our home our air conditioner inexplicably stopped working for several hours before starting to work again. We thought nothing of it until it happened again just as A/C season kicked off in Spring. Worried that these temporary outages might become more frequent (or turn into something breaking altogether) I called several contractors to see if they might have any ideas as to what was happening. After explaining the symptoms to Anthony over the phone, he immediately told us that although he could come look at the unit, that unless it was not functioning when he was here it would be nearly impossible to diagnose. He provided us with several steps we could take to troubleshoot the unit if it stopped working and stated that "although he could come out and do a general inspection" that it was unlikely to turn up anything. Since we hadn't had the unit inspected as part of the home buying process, we decided to spend the $70 and have him come make sure that everything was working as intended. Sure enough, when Anthony came out he tested everything and told us that our unit was working perfectly. He stated that the most likely cause of the problem we were describing was a malfunctioning heater circuit board -- a $150 fix. He stated that although he could replace the board for us, there wasn't any reason why we should spend the money to fix a problem that only occurred once every several months, and again provided us with steps to test this hypothesis and potentially fix the problem if it occurred again. Several weeks later the problem occurred again, we used the steps he suggested, and our A/C started functioning within minutes rather than within hours as had previously occurred. We now plan to get the heater board replaced -- but plan to wait as Anthony suggested so that we can be sure this is actually the problem. Although we still need to have this issue repaired, Anthony's willingness to forgo the immediate sale in exchange for ensuring that the service we ultimately receive is why he will be our first call for any A/C needs in the future.

Anthony was very honest and professional. We plan on continuing to use his service for ongoing maintenance.

Mr. Maynor is extremely knowledgeable about the heating business and very honest and forthright. He found several issues with our furnace, and pointed them out to me so I was able to discuss them with the technician sent by our home warranty company. His pricing was reasonable, and I will definitely use him again.

The maintenance was performed efficiently. The crew from A. Maynor arrived on time and did the work promptly. They were thorough and knowledgeable. They didn't find any problems with the units and made sure everything was clean and running properly.

We have been happy with the furnace as there have not been any issues at all with it. We like that they also do the maintenance service and offer warranties on their work and systems. I thought they gave us a good deal. They did not make a large mess in the removal or installation of the furnace. I don't mind recommending them to others.

Excellent work. I've used Mr. Maynor for an annual service to my 16 year old AC unit and he has kept it running great. I highly recommend his services.
