They were 5 stars for me, they're an excellent company and they always take care of their customers.

I made 2 appointments. No one showed to either. I called and only reached voicemail. they called to reschedule and didn't show to that either. I understand if you are busy from the hurricane, but don't waste clients time by taking them on if you can't.

Charged me for architectural shingles even though I did not want them. Also did not address a major sag in my roof so had to hire someone else. Plenty of other roofers out there, go elsewhere.

This was the second roof I've had replaced by Matthews roofing and both were done on time as promised at a great price.

Ask for an estimate, showed up at neighbors house, then left before I could get home. Called later and said he was on the way to another job, then said I never should have been scheduled for an anointment because he thought my job was too small. We found another roofer who was more than happy to help us. We're an elderly couple and was very disappointed in their lack of service and professionalism.

It took 3-4 days to finish my roof where as it was supposed to take 2. Then there were several areas where the work was not finished and they had to come back out. ( they forgot to remove attic fan as agreed upon before work started, also some trim replacement and wood rot was not fully replaced as agreed upon.)

They found the problem and corrected it

It went fine. Except I had to call them to get the report. When I called them it was fine. They did a fine job though. They really came here quickly and where very nice. My only complaint was that I wish that they would tell me that they were leaving when they were finished.

Awesome! They came back out after a wind storm to repair some shingles near the work completed on a separate job. Although they were separate from original work, Matthews roofing completed the repairs without charging additional expense. Absolutely first class team! I would highly recommend this company.

They were good. The cost was going to be $500 which we thought was expensive, but we got $100 off for an Angie's List deal which was great.

Not very good. Their ad stated they worked in my area and the type of work the coupon was for was exactly what I needed. After buying the coupon and waiting three days, they send an email saying it's too far to drive and they're plenty busy enough.... so they won't honor it. Just annoying and disappointing.

There was some communication problems about the estimate date and the installation date, but not a major problem. Work was done quickly and professionally by the owner. I have no complaints and would recommend Matthews Roofing.

The roof and gutters (which were done after the siding job was completed) were done swiftly and efficiently, allowing for weather delays and a holiday weekend. The small siding crew worked slowly but carefully, and although the whole job took a while (about two and a half weeks from start to finish), the house looks fantastic--almost like new--and is better insulated than before. The whole job was completed at the estimated price, no surprises for me. Minor damage to plants, everything cleaned up at the end of each day and at the end of the whole job. Overall a good experience. I would recommend Matthews Roofing.

They arrived on time. The crew was friendly and knowledgable and performed the work quickly and efficiently. Gary Matthews showed up shortly after they started and spent time answering my questions and supervising the work. They even fixed a vinyl siding problem with no additional cost. It looks like we will need to replace our existing roof in the near future and we will definitely use this company.

We started getting roofing estimates in April 2013 and got quotes from several companies. Gary Mathews personally came out and talked with us and explained what needed to be done and wrote up the estimate personally. We procrastinated and did not have the work done until April 2014 - one year later. We called Gary back and he was just as courteous as before and honored his original quote from the year before. His crew is just as great and there was literally no mess. They kept the job site cleaned up. I was very satisfied with their work. Gary is very laid back and not pushy like other companies - two thumbs up!

Mr. Matthews promptly called to schedule a convenient time to look at my roof. He arrived on time. After the inspection he explained what he found and made suggestions on how to proceed. We agreed on the repairs that were needed and scheduled a date and time for the work. Mr. Matthews called to keep me informed when an emergency altered our schedule. His crew arrived on time and completed the repairs in a timely manner. Mr. Matthews made multiple trips to my house and called several times to keep me informed about the repair schedule. Mr. Matthews was easy to talk to, answered all my question and was professional at all times. I highly recommend Matthews Roofing and I would call them again.

We just had the best experience with any contractor we have ever used. Gary Matthews of Matthews Roofing in Angier, NC. s a true gentleman and professional contractor. When called to give us an estimate, he was prompt, friendly, courteous and professional. Unlike other roofers who gave us estimates, Gary's estimate covered replacing our roof but he went the extra mile to include new skylights and replacement of all flashing, vent stack boots, and vent covers for the same price. When he located special pricing on the shingles we needed, rather than ripping us off he offered us a better quality shingle at the same quoted price. His crew showed up on the day and time agreed upon and did a super job on our roof. They worked quickly and their quality of workmanship could not have been matched. They laid tarps all around our house to collect debris, and after completing the work they cleaned up any trash, using magnets to collect any nails or staples on the ground. When they left I could not tell they had even been here except for my new beautiful roof and new skylights. You can't go wrong with Gary Matthews and Matthews roofing, and I highly recommend them if you want a pleasant experience working with a professional roofing contractor with many years of experience, and a top notch team. Got a very reasonable quote for our 3000 sq foot roof. Sent all documents to my email. What a great company! We would have definitely gone with Mathews Roofing,ad we not decided to go for a metal roof. Friends recommended him, and I would recommend this company.

He came to assess damage when he said he would. His crew came to repair the roof on the date and time he said they would even though he was swamped with other storm damage, They cleaned up after themselves and left the yard in better shape than it had been. They even repaired errors made by the contractor who originally had installed the roof (this was a newly constructed building, less than a year old). .

Initial repairs completed as scheduled. Crew cleaned up well after themselves. There was a final issue that needed to be addressed with one area of shingles. After talking with owner, crew came back but didn't address the correct area/issue. After several delays due to 2 weeks of unprecedented rain, final resolution today as the owner came out himself as promised and made sure things were addressed and made right.
