Kimbrells landscaping

I thought I really liked this company but l sure don't now. Noah cut our lawn and tended to the weeds a couple of times and did a great job up until he asked if we wanted to "sign" a monthly contract with him. The last time he cut our lawn I agreed to a monthly service contract. He seemed pleased and we didn't hear from him until 2 weeks later when I get a text from him while I was at work letting me know he was on the way over to cut my lawn. No heads up, nothing. Also, where is this "contract"?? I told him we weren't prepared to pay his fee that day and he agreed to come back a different day. I said fine, and to also please send me the contract to my provided email in the meantime. When I asked him how much it would be, it was $10 over the originally agreed-upon price. I could get a corporate company to overhaul my yard for that price and probably have the contract in my inbox that same day. Nope, not Noah. He never sent the contract. Still nothing. As our lawn grew even longer since that last text convo, here is what our conversation was, verbatim: Ellie 3:58PM: Hey there! We decided not to do the contract but we do need our lawn cut either today or tomorrow. We have a more flexible schedule now so I think we will be able to handle our lawn care ourselves until the colder season Kimbrell's Landscaping 4:02PM: It’s ok I’ve decided not to cut your lawn so take care and have a great rest of 2020 Noah with Kimbrells Landscaping thanks Ellie 4:05PM: I’m sorry I’m confused. Have I offended you? I think you do great work but we can’t do a contract because we're a bit financially strapped due to the pandemic. But nevermind. Thanks for your help. Kimbrell's Landscaping 4:29PM: You’re welcome. _____________________________________ I'm not sure how I offended him. We literally couldn't afford the contract fee because times are harder these days and we freed up some so that we can use our personal lawnmower when we can and save some money. But we still wanted him to come and mow our lawn this week. I still don't see what I said to create a response like that. Very unprofessional. OH and I forgot to add that he took photos of our house to include in his "work portfolio" on FB to help advertise his business, and we DID NOT give him permission to do that. We are private people and we are not okay with that. We will make sure to have them removed. Bottom line, Noah will cut your lawn just fine but don't expect too much else. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
